Mark Wahlberg about to become a Married Man

Ya know, even though I’ve always thought that Mark Wahlberg is talented in just about anything that he does, I’ve always been on the fence about how I’ve felt about him personally. I’ve neither loved or hated him, I’ve just really be indifferent but the interview that Celebitchy posted about him really had me thinking really rather well about both him and his new fiance, Rhea Durham. He just announced that he has recently proposed to the woman, who just had his third child a month ago, and that they will be married next August. It’s not the ‘no, no, no media of any kind’ thinking that has me holding him in higher regard because so many celebrities opt, understandably, for this route but the fact that he seems so intent on keeping his Catholic roots a part of it. I am not Catholic myself but in a crazy place like Hollywood, it’s so refreshing to see a mega-star who still has his core values as so much a part of himself. He also leaked the name of the newborn son that him and Rhea just had, ”

Mark Wahlberg has named his newborn son Brendan.

“It’s for St. Brendan,” he told Usmagazine.com at Monday’s Max Payne premiere in Hollywood.

Glancing at his fiance, model Rhea Durham, he added, “Rhea didn’t really want me to talk about anything that personal tonight. But his name is Brendan Joseph.”

How is life as a new dad?

“It is the best! It’s awesome,” he told Us. “There’s not as much sleep, though.”

Now with two sons (and one daughter), he said the boys are taking over the house.

He joked, “We are outnumbered now!”

At a press conference over the weekend, Wahlberg revealed he and Durham will wed next August.

What will the ceremony be like?

“Catholic church, small, family only, no media!” he told Us. Laughing, he added, “And there will be no wedding pictures sold to any magazines!”

Even his religion is part of his son’s name! I love it! And the kid’s name is so normal - another rarity in the world of Tinseltown. I also love how Rhea seems to wear at least part of the pants in the family when it comes to their personal life as it sounds as though he was pretty nervous giving out any details without her stamp of approval. I guess I always just assume the girlfriends or boyfriends of these huge stars are just so in awe all the time and wanting to ‘please their man’ that it’s nice when they actually prove me wrong. These two are absolutely nothing but class and I can’t wait for their wedding, of which of course, we’ll hear nothing of! Congratulations, Mark and Rhea!

Wahlberg Decides to Make it Official

Three kids and countless years later, it turns out Mark Wahlberg may marry his girlfriend and the mother of his children.

We’re talking about getting married in August,” Wahlberg revealed at a press conference for Max Payne Sunday. As for why now, and why August, he simply said, “it’s a good month.”

So, pencil that in—but don’t check your mailboxes for that save the date notice. Adds Wahlberg: “We’re not inviting yet.”

A Ring in Store for Jessica?

Jessica Biel just got back from a romantic getaway with beau Justin Timberlake where they relaxed in Italy, and then made a quick trip to Vegas to help Barack the vote.

The couple has engagement rumors swirling around them, and of course it’s impossible to verify. Still, rumors are hard to ignore, when even more friends close to the couple are saying Justin is about ready pop the question. So, it’s sounding like a wedding is on the horizon, it’s just a matter of when it will happen.

Celeb Families Who Play together … always Look Great Together

At least, such is the case with Salma Hayek and baby Valentina. She and the baby joined beau Francois-Henri Pinault in Ibiza.

And it’s not enough that they were in one of the hottest vacation spots on earth - they were of course vacationing on a yacht, and Salma looked great in her bathing suit, while carrying a baby, with her hair all askew. How come it doesn’t work that way in real life?

Salma was slightly covered up - and opted for a one piece - but she’s still one hot momma! And we respect a gal who wants to conceal a bit more in a bathing suit than some typically do. Not - of course - that she has anything to hide!

We also love baby Valentine’s nautical striped outfit. Coincidence? With this family, we think not!

Mariah and Nick Stay Pure

At the club Pure, that is.The songstress threw a party for her hubby - who was turning 28 (!) - at the night club in Las Vegas this week.

Mariah was in a typically tight black dress  - probably to help off-set pregnancy rumors - and sipped on a glass of wine (also good for the rumors …)

Nick played DJ and gave his wifey plenty of shout-outs while spinning. Their trip hasn’t been all play though — the couple came to Vegas on Saturday to film Mariah’s new music video for “I Stay in Love,” which Nick directed. Can’t wait to see it!

It’s Egypt for this Idol

She was met with relative fame as a contestant on America Idol (and by relative fame, we mean, she got to go on stage for a few weeks during the show) and now, Paris Bennett has given birth to a daughter named Egypt.

Bennett was in labor for five hours before her 5-pound, 15-ounce baby was born Monday.

The first-time mother is reportedly doing well.

According to a news release the 20-year-old mother says she’s “so excited to finally see my little angel.” Bennett adds, “Man, does she have lungs on her. I guess she’s gearing up to be the next American Idol.”

Next up for Bennet? Her first Christmas CD, “A Royal Christmas,” on October 14th.

Jolie-Pitt Fam is Cute Without Even Trying

I’ve never been a huge fan of Angelina, but I can recognize cute when I see it.

Oh wow, could this picture be any cuter?! This is going to be quite the “United Colors of Benetton” ad when they get a little older.

Angelina stepped out this week with Shiloh, Pax, and Zahara! The little ones were even treated to Cheetos as they strolled around the French Quarter. We’re still waiting to see the new additions!

Could Jay-Z have Babies on the Brain?

While attending the 2008 Global Leadership Awards Gala in NYC, Jay-Z got a chance to try on one of the only kids of bling money can’t buy: Olympic gold medals. Swimmer Ryan Lochte was kind enough to let the rapper joke around with his medals for the cameras before the event. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones also graced the red carpet for the event.

Jay-Z was among the honorees last night and he talked about his recent trips to Africa being reward enough but then talked about having a family of his own, as well saying,  “Most people I guess dream of having a family some day, so I’m just a regular American boy.” But we’re not sure a baby will be in the cards any time soon - both he and B are so busy with their careers, philanthropic work, campaigning for candidates, etc., that we’re not sure they’d want to put any of that on hold!

Jessica and Justin Hear Wedding Bells

But - they were the wedding bells of Jessica Biel’s old 7th Heaven co-star, Beverley Mitchell. Jess was in the wedding party, and took Justin with her to the affair, which was in Ravello, Italy. Mitchell was tying the knot with Michael Cameron and have a beautiful, outdoor wedding with - from the looks of it - a lot of bridesmaids! But hey - a celeb’s got a lotta friends! Jess and Beverley’s other onscreen sister Mackenzie Rosman was in the entourage too. And while Justin and Jessica may not be gettin’ hitched any time soon, they look happy to be supporting someone else’s big day!

No Complex Here!

You know how they say first born children can sometimes get a complex when a new baby arrives - they’re used to getting special, focused attention and then BAM! a new little person is on the scene. Well, Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani are apparently determined to make sure this DOESN’T happen with their oldest, Kingston.

While Zuma is still sitting out on the family play dates, Kingston kept the adorable factor high, playing hide-and-seek with his parents. They kicked the weekend off with a trip to the Feast of San Gennaro on Friday. On Saturday the family was with Gavin leaving the Beverly Center. Kingston may still be getting used to his little brother, but it looks that his parents are still doing a great job of giving him some extra special attention.
