Oh No! Say a Taylor Swift and John Mayer Fling Isn’t So!

I heard that John Mayer and Taylor Swift had hung out together in Nashville a couple of weeks ago. When I first read about it I thought, “Oh no, Taylor, be smarter than that, girl!” Because when you hear about Mayer entering into the same state as a girl, you automatically assume that he’s trying to get with her. But as I read, it seemed as though Taylor was indeed smarter than that and the whole thing was nothing more than just John, Taylor, and a bunch of other friends, hanging out together. The whole thing was dropped…until just recently.

Now Mayer is reportedly going around whispering to friends about how that night in Nashville might just appear in one of the country singer’s songs between the two had a ‘fling’, meaning a one-night stand. This is just so hard for me to picture! I mean, Mayer, sure, I expect nothing more. In fact, I’m surprised he has Tweeted about it since. But Taylor?! That’s what makes this so hard for me to believe. She does seem smarter than hooking up with the biggest known player in the land, and she just doesn’t seem like the kind of girl to do one-night stands. And the fact that all of this comes from ‘a source’, makes me even more skeptical. From Digital Spy,

“John Mayer has reportedly revealed that he had a brief romance with Taylor Swift.

Mayer has allegedly admitted to a friend that he “hooked up” with the 20-year-old country singer while they were both in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 24.

The source said: “She was sitting on John’s lap, her arms were around him, and she was talking in his ear. They were acting like teenagers.”

The source claimed that the couple dined at the Cabana restaurant and were joined by their friends. After their dinner reservation, they were spotted leaving the restaurant alone and heading to the Hermitage Hotel.

“Taylor spent the night and enjoyed mid-morning room service before leaving his suite the next day”, the source added.

Both Mayer’s and Swift’s spokespeople have denied the reports.”

And Taylor Swift is barely out of her teenage years so it shouldn’t be surprising to anyone that she was acting like one. That being said, I think she’s always been a smart teenager…at least in the important areas anyway. Yes, it seems like with the White Horse singer at the top of her game, everyone seems to want a piece of her. I wonder what Taylor Lautner thinks about this. I’m rooting for him but, I don’t know. John Mayer seems to have some kind of charm I just don’t understand.

Taylor Swift is a Heartbreaker for Sure!

Taylor Swift is a girl that knows how to get around. But the best thing about her is that, a sweeter girl you will not find. It’s part of that sweetness I’m sure, that is what makes men swoon over her as she leaves broken hearts in her trail. First she was seen out with John Mayer in Nashville. But there’s probably really nothing there. The two recorded a song together for Mayer’s last album so I’m sure things are friendly between them. But as for whether or not there’s a relationship there, I’m say probably, and thankfully, no. Even anonymous sources are saying that anything there is strictly platonic, and that Taylor and John are not dating. But don’t some of the most serious relationships start from friendship? Maybe there’s reason to be concerned after all. From People,

But one person that Taylor Swift was romantically linked to is also back in her life. That is part boy-part werewolf, Taylor Lautner. Okay, Lautner only plays a werewolf in the Twilight saga but, he sure did seem to leave some sort of imprint on Taylor Swift. Rumors go that even though these two split up a couple of weeks ago, Lautner is still pretty smitten by Swift and hopes that they’ll be able to reunite when they have to get back to filming Valentine’s Day. That is going to be happening sooner rather than later, and Swift has already said that the two have already been in contact. From Digital Spy,

You just have to love a star that’s willing to be photographed, and actually takes full responsibility for whatever it is she’s being photographed doing. All too often celebrities whine about lack of privacy, without actually even acknowledging what those ‘evil’ photographers caught them doing. And it seems that she’s also realized that her life is different now. She’s famous, and people want to take her picture. And again, instead of crying about how hard that is, she truly loves it!

I don’t think Taylor is interested in either of these two boys. Because well, I think if she was she would just come right out and tell us. But I do think that Taylor Swift is definitely a Hollywood Heartbreaker. And these two are just the first in a line of many, many, many more.

Taylor and Taylor have Split!

The short-lived romance between Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner seems to have come to an abrupt end. Do you think that maybe they just couldn’t stand dating someone with the same as them any longer? Perhaps it just got too confusing? Gave them a bit of an identity crisis? No, it’s nothing nearly as dramatic as that. The two simply don’t have any chemistry together romantically and have decided to call it quits for the time being. It’s too bad really. I thought these two looked really cute together and I was sort of hoping that something major would come of it. It sounds though like I’m not the only one who’s disappointed. According to the story, Lautner was way more into Swift than she was into him. From US,

After three months of dating, country singer Taylor Swift and New Moon star Taylor Lautner have split, UsMagazine.com has learned.

“It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends,” a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. “There was no chemistry.”

The pair — who met on the set of the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day — first sparked rumors of a romance when she hugged him at her October 9 concert in Rosemont, Illinois. They have since been spotted on several wholesome dates — like their frozen yogurt date at Menchie’s alongside Swift’s mom earlier this month — and have each coyly alluded to their relationship on separate Saturday Night Live hosting gigs.

However, the relationship officially fizzled when Lautner, 17, flew to Nashville for Swift’s birthday party on Dec. 13, a friend of the singer reveals.

In fact, Swift — whose friend says she is a “hopeless romantic” who “wants everything she writes about” in her songs — will likely reunite with the Twilight hunk when they begin promoting Valentine’s Day, out Feb. 12.”

I don’t know that these two will reunite. There’s a lot that chemistry can fix in a relationship. But if you don’t have chemistry, everything else is pretty much out. But I am glad that it ended amicably. That means that I don’t have to turn on either one of them, which is good because I just love both of these two so much!

Taylor and Taylor Spend More Time Together

Both Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift have been keeping pretty mum on their relationship, which at this point, we all know is in full swing. But these two very high profile celebrities are obviously trying to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible and they seem to refuse to confirm that they are actually dating. Whatever. They don’t need to admit it. We all know that they’re dating and I for one, think it’s fabulous! These two recently had another date after doing some reshoots for their soon to be released film, Valentine’s Day. From Gossip Center,

“Making the most of a Thursday evening, Taylor Lautner and Taylor Swift were spotted out to eat at Benihana restaurant in Beverly Hills last night (December 3).

The “Twilight” stud and his rumored “Love Story” girlfriends looked so happy together as they enjoyed some quality time at the popular hibachi eatery.

Earlier in the day, Lautner and Swift were busy filming reshoots for their sure-to-be-hit film “Valentine’s Day” at a local high school’s football field.

In the film, Taylor and Taylor play the homecoming king and queen Samntha Kenny and Tyler Harrington. “Valentine’s Day” hits theaters February 12th, 2010.”

I’m too old to enjoy movies anymore about high school prom kings and queens but I have to say, these two stars make me very excited to see this movie. I just wish that these two would come out and tell us that they are in fact together. Then we could really see just how cute these two are together!

Wynonna Judd is Fat and Jealous

Seriously, what’s with all the hate on Taylor Swift? The girl cannot receive an award without somehow having that award tainted. First Kanye made his gross appearance on the VMA’s when Taylor went up to accept his award and on Wednesday, after Taylor’s Entertainer of the Year nomination at the CMA’s, Wynonna Judd had some very sinister remarks for the young girl. These came before Taylor won the award and after Taylor won, Wynonna of course, came out with her public apology. I guess the next time that Taylor is nominated to win anything, she should be prepared for someone to apologize to her. Honestly! This just makes me so mad! It wasn’t enough that she couldn’t accept her award uninterrupted at the VMA’s but to have such an honor at the CMA’s downgraded before she even won! It’s truly an outrage! “Wynonna issues Swift apology for CMAs diss……Wynonna Judd has apologized to Taylor Swift after taking a swipe at the 19-year-old singing superstar before her big night at the CMA Awards, where she walked away with the Entertainer of the Year trophy on Wednesday night.
Prior to the ceremony, Wynonna told USA TODAY that she felt Taylor was too young to be nominated for such a prestigious award, adding that the honor was “too much, too soon … Time is God’s way of keeping everything from happening at once. It’s just too much of a good thing soon … I want kids to earn it.”

“I understand that my comment about Taylor Swift’s Entertainer of the Year nomination came across as a negative statement. My intent was not to take anything away from her talent and contributions to the country music industry… all of which are truly unprecedented for an artist of ANY age,” the 45-year-old said in a statement posted on her website.

“Taylor is a beautiful, hard working young woman that deserves the success she has had,” she continued. “And I support her as an artist and as a woman in the business.”

Ya know what I say to Wynonna? I think that she is a country music star who, no doubt, has made a name for herself. But now she’s a pathetic and fat woman who can’t seem to climb to the top of the charts like she once did. She’s always lived in the shadows of her sister, Ashley Judd, who’s also younger and hotter, and now she can’t stand living in the shadows of younger and hotter music stars. I have never been a big fan of Wynonna but I’ve also never hated her enough to make personal attacks against her. But this woman has just gotten me boiled over!

Why can’t Taylor Swift accept an award in peace? The good news is that this girl has many more awards coming her way. And hopefully people will leave her alone before and after she receives them!

This is One Hookup I Can Get Onboard With!

I’m usually a big cynic when it comes to new hookups in Hollywood. Especially when the two people involved in the hookup are both major stars. Something about those bright lights just seems to me like they’re bound to make anything fizzle out sooner rather than later so I try not to get too excited. But, this is one hookup that I not only loooove but that I really hope will last! The hookup is between Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner! Yes, the country crooner and the Twilight werewolf seem to be hooking up but whether or not they actually are a couple seems to still be up in the air.

US has an anonymous ’source’ that says the two will be completely open about any relationship that blooms from their newfound friendship but that they’re waiting to see if there’s anything there that will actually come to bloom. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift seems to be keeping mum on the subject herself. And when it comes to words from the star’s mouth versus the anonymous source, I tend to go with the former. This is what US has to say,

“Taylor Swift and Twilight’s Taylor Lautner reignited romance rumors when they attended a hockey game together at L.A.’s Staples Center on Sunday.
“They have gotten closer,” a source tells Usmagazine.com. “They talk all the time, [and] they like each other.”

Still, the source says the country singer, 19, and Lautner, 17 — who were also spotted at a Beverly Hills hotel following the NHL game — haven’t moved too quickly because of her national Fearless tour and his hectic Twilight saga filming schedule in Vancouver.

“It’s been hard with their schedules,” the source tells Us. “They are both young and in the spotlight.”

The source adds that the two don’t have qualms about dating in the public eye.

“They aren’t worried about the media,” the source says. “It’s just still very new. They like each other. I don’t even think they know what it is yet. They would be open about it but they need to figure out what it is first.”

So are they still just trying to figure it out or is there really something happening here and Taylor Swift just wants to keep it under wraps for a little while longer? It seems that way as People has an interview with Taylor, taken from a radio segment, where she does admit to being really close with Lautner but then shies away from saying anything more about a possible romance. “In the contest between Twilight heartthrobs Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, it’s clear where Taylor Swift’s loyalty is. The singer, who has been spending quality time recently with Launter (who plays Jacob Black in the film series) tells CMT Radio’s Cody Alan she’s definitely on “team Jake.”

When asked about rumors that the pair, who attended a hockey game together in L.A. on Sunday and had dinner with Swift’s mom on Monday, are a couple, Swift played coy.

“I don’t know, he’s an amazing guy and we’re really close … and ah … yep,” she says on the radio show airing Thursday. “We’re in a movie together and I am really excited about seeing it.”

Swift says she hasn’t yet had a chance to view any of their film, Valentine’s Day, but hopes she and Launter will “get to do a private screening because we both wanna see it so bad, cause our scene was so much fun to do, it was hilarious doing this scene!”

But then again…private screening? Hmmm….is Taylor Swift just trying to get us to read between the lines? Do you really need a private screening to watch a funny scene together? I wouldn’t think so. I think these two probably have already hooked up and really are just trying to keep things low-key for a little while. And if that’s the case, my best advice to them is to stop attending public events together. After all, a simple hockey game might as well be a wedding ceremony to the media. I hope these two do get together and that they can make it work. Even if the whole Taylor-dating-Taylor thing is a little nauseating.

‘You shut up!’; ‘No YOU shut up!’

And that’s about the gist of it when it comes to the current feud between Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, on behalf of Taylor Swift. The recent breakup of Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift was widely talked about, especially considering the fact that they are mere teenagers and all fairly new to the Hollywood scene. (I don’t care what people say about Cyrus growing up in Hollywood, she’s new to life let alone relationships!) The story goes that Swift wrote a song about her recent and heartwrenching breakup with Joe Jonas and Gomez, who is also dating Joe’s brother, Nick Jonas, made a public and catty remark about it. And Miley is proving that hell hath no fury like a teenage girl, as she has made it very clear that she is ready to defend Swift to the death. From Pop Crunch,

“In Taylor’s new song “Always & Forever,” the 18-year-old Billboard hitmaker dishes on the abrupt end of her short-lived romance with pop star Joe Jonas.

Selena, who is reportedly dating Joe’s kid brother Nick, later remarked that “if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it.”

“When Miley heard Selena was attacking one of her closest friends, she bombarded her with nasty text messages and e-mails,” a gabby chatterbox says in this week’s edition of The National Enquirer.

“Miley reminded Selena that what comes around goes around-and declared it will only be a matter of time before she joins the ranks of girls who have been dumped by a Jonas brother!”

“‘And when that happens,’” Miley wrote in one e-mail, “‘me and Taylor will right there to offer you a Kleenex while we sing a song about your broken heart!’”

Ya know, I don’t really care about this story or these people but I do think these young teens have a lot to learn, especially about living under the bright lights. There’s clearly a lack of maturity and discretion, which is a very bad mix and once again, I am left shaking my head at Miley’s actions. I know that she’s only 16 so we can’t really expect her to be all that grown up but someone, such as her doting father, could step in and mention to her that the kind of publicity where you’re on the front page ripping people to pieces, may not be exactly what you’re looking for. I think any other parent would advise their young teen that cattiness and ill-wishing is not the way to handle things and I don’t see why it’s any different in Miley’s case.

Joe Jonas IS a Dog!

I have never, ever, ever understood all the hoopla behind the Jonas Brothers but apparently they are all the rage. I guess I grew up in a New Kids on the Block age (the first time around) and was the appropriate age to be madly in love with all of them at some point or another and maybe this is the same sort of thing. So, for any 14-year-olds that read this blog, or anyone else who cares about this boy band, the word is out - Joe Jonas is a DOG! I first heard that he broke up with Taylor Swift over the phone on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and that’s the first time that I really ever sat up and took notice when the Jonas name was mentioned. I don’t care how old you are or how big you think you are in the land of Tinseltown, breaking up with someone over the PHONE - is never, ever cool. Ever. Now I guess he’s trying to defend himself on MySpace in an attempt to make fans understand why the phone call was so short. From the Daily Blabber,

“Several things I will state with all my heart,” Joe, who reportedly dumped country singer Taylor Swift for new girl, actress Camilla Belle. “I never cheated on a girlfriend. It might make someone feel better to assume or imply I have been unfaithful but it is simply not true. Maybe there were reasons for a breakup. Maybe the heart moved on. Perhaps feelings changed. I am truly saddened that anything would potentially cause you to think less of me.”

As for the very short phone call Taylor said Joe made to break up with her, the teen dream says he wasn’t the one who hung up first.

“For those who have expressed concern over the ‘27 second’ phone call, I called to discuss feelings with the other person,” he writes, never naming Taylor in the post at all. “Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk.”

Taylor recently went on record saying that Joe broke up with her once he met Camilla, which Joe says was absolutely not the reason for the split.

“Anytime you are in a relationship for any length of time there are going to be issues,” he writes. “Sometimes they resolve. Other times they lead to a change of heart. This was the case recently.”

Yeah okay. I don’t even care if he broke up with her for some other chick - that happens and he’s right, sometimes the heart does move on. I hope he’s being honest when he says that he didn’t cheat on Swift because that would take the DOG to a whole new level but he’s probably not (being honest, that is.) What I do have a problem with is the fact that he seems upset that she hung up on him, and that it excuses the phone call in the first place. Okay, ya know what? She had every single right to hang up on a jerk that would end a relationship over the phone. I don’t care how long they went out for or how old they are - it’s disrespectful to the person and it’s disrespectful to the time they shared together.

And he’s ugly - there, I said it.
