Have You Forgiven Ryan Phillipe?

I ran across a story about Ryan Phillipe lately that was pretty interesting. I pretty much blew him off as just another scumbag when he cheated on Reese Witherspoon, breaking up their marriage and tearing their family apart. While the article wasn’t about anything in particular, talking about his tattoos and blah blah blah, what I found most interesting was the last line. This talked about how he’s been “unfairly treated in the media.” Really? Why? Because he cheated on his wife and people didn’t take kindly to that? Here’s what the article had to say, from Pop Sugar,

“Ryan Phillippe let his forearm tattoo peek out from his tight white shirt while running errands around LA Monday. With MacGruber coming out later this month the normally private star is opening up in interviews all over including one about all his body art — Ryan showed off his shirtless sexy back for Inked magazine and also revealed how he covered up a ladybug tat he got for Reese years ago. His ex wife has been a frequent topic of conversation during the lead up to his movie’s release and Ryan seems to have won back some fans talking about his sadness over their breakup and found support in how unfairly he’s been treated in the media.”

What was even more interesting than the article itself were the comments that followed. The majority of people actually seem to be siding with Ryan and turning on Reese! Now, that’s bass-ackwards if I’ve ever heard it! A lot of the comments pointed out that Reese seems to always give the “correct” answer in interviews and that she seems very cold and standoffish, whereas Ryan has always been honest and open, even if we may not have always liked what he’s had to say.

Okay, I get the whole Reese/iceberg thing. But really. She’s one of the biggest and hottest stars in Hollywood and she has absolutely zero private life. So if she’s a little snotty to the paps that camp outside the grocery store when she’s just trying to pick up some juice for her kids, I get that. Ryan, on the other hand, has not always been open and honest. Even if he’s been honest about everything else in his life, he has always vehemently denied the fact that sleeping with Abbie Cornish was the reason for his divorce. He’s always claimed that the marriage was over before they started screwing and I. Don’t. Buy. It. And, even if you’re being honest about everything else, if you can’t pony up to the really big stuff and own it, then I don’t care what other useless crap falls out of your mouth.

So, I’ve had my say. I haven’t forgiven Ryan Phillipe. Have you?

Cutie Watch: Reese and Jim

Reese Witherspoon has been out a lot lately with her new beau, Jim Toth and the two seem to be getting along very well. Not only did Reese spend Easter weekend with Jim, but the two have also been attending events such as Jennifer Garner’s birthday party. I’d really like to know where my invite went, seeing as how both Jen and Reese are my BFFs. But I digress.

This shot of Reese and Jim was taken while they sauntered around LA with Reese’s dog in tow after taking in a very cute and cuddly lunch. Pop Sugar has all the pics of their romantic luncheon but I chose this one. Mainly because Reese just looks overwhelmingly skinny in this picture, doesn’t she? She’s always been a slight girl but it seems to me as though she’s lost a ton of weight lately. But it’s nice to see that Reese has that same “I hate you, paparazzi” scowl on her face. That’s one reason I consider her a kindred spirit. We both hate people who get all up in our biz.

Who is Reese’s New Man?

Ever since her split from Jake Gyllenhaal, Reese Witherspoon has been keeping a pretty low profile. But all that changed this past Easter weekend as she brought her new beau, Jim Toth, to Easter Sunday church service with her and her kids. Reese and Jim have been dating since February, when Life & Style first exposed them as a couple. Jim is a CAA talent agent and reportedly, he’s not pressuring Reese to get serious or move too fast and until this past weekend, both of them were keeping it hush-hush. It’s hard to tell from this picture, but Reese and Jim look like a pretty cute couple! I always love following Reese when she’s got a new man though! Ever since her split from Jackass Phillipe, it’s nice to see her happy with someone. Thanks to People for the pic!

Ryan and Abbie: Splitsville!

Another woman has gotten a taste of Ryan Phillippe’s wandering eye, and I say – serves you right, biotch! Finally, I get my own little taste of justice after someone has helped to break up a favorite couple of mine. I bet the only person on Earth happier than me right now is Reese Witherspoon.

Yes, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish have split after Ryan cheated on her too and Abbie gave him the boot. It seems that Ryan has been spending a lot of time with other women lately in clubs and whatnot and Abbie finally had enough. In a slick move, she moved out of the home the two shared while Ryan took his kids to visit a friend. Hmm, I wonder if Ryan knew about that little relocation before it happened? From NY Daily News,

“Aussie actress Abbie Cornish has split with Ryan Phillippe.

“Abbie ended the relationship with Ryan and she moved out of their home,” the actress’ rep confirmed to People.

While Phillippe was visiting a friend with his children, Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6, on Sunday, the “Bright Star” actress was spotted moving out of the Los Angeles house she shared with the actor.

Cornish, 27, and Phillippe, 35, who met on the set of their war drama “Stop-Loss,” weathered intense media scrutiny in 2006 after they began dating around the same time as the actor’s divorce from Reese Witherspoon.

Being linked to the demise of Phillippe’s seven-year marriage proved to be “a really difficult time for me,” Cornish told W magazine last year.

“In a normal, successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day,” she said. “I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with.”

Ugh. Could I feel any less sorry for poor little homewrecker Abbie Cornish? Yes, sometimes it works out that celebrities deal with being under the spotlight bit by bit. But when you’re in your first movie, and you immediately hook up with your co-star that’s married and has kids, you’re bound to have a few people looking your way pretty quickly. And who ever said that Abbie Cornish had a successful career? I’d bet I’m not the only one who knows her more as being Ryan Phillippe’s mistress than anything else.

Another Quiet Split

It seems that it’s been a week of bad, and big, breakups. First there was Kate Hudson and A-Rod, and now there’s another Splitsville title going to Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal. No one could seem to get in agreeement about what was going on with these two and Reese even disputed some of the rumors herself, talking about how great Jake is and how he’s so funny, they grow veggies and cook together, blah blah blah. But now it seems the talk is true and these two are definitely finished. Just like Kate and A-Rod, there’s no official word from either camp right now about who ended it or why. But as every breakup goes in Hollywood, there’s a whole ton of speculation. From Lainey Gossip,

“Us Weekly is featuring the split on its latest cover. According to Us, Jakey wanted to marry Reese but she felt pressured and they fought and then they ended it over the phone. Supposedly Reese isn’t sure if J is suited to her children. Or something. The bottom line, if you believe the magazine, is that Reese drove the separation and now Jake is heartbroken.

Or not.

And no, this has nothing to do with gayness. It has everything to do however with the fact that she’s a humourless bitch. An alternate interpretation for the end of the relationship, according to my sources, is that Jake was done with her tight ass. “She’s just not that much fun and he used to be a really fun guy.”

I really like Reese Witherspoon but I do think that tight-ass title that she’s got going for her has something to it. I find it very hard to believe that Jake didn’t have good chemistry with her kids after they’ve dated for eons. I can however, see Jake wanting to marry Reese and Reese being a little gun-shy on the marriage front. But I don’t think it has anything to do with her kids. I think it’s because her first marriage was to a complete douche and now she’s hesitant to do it again. And who could blame her? But whoever ended it, I have to say, this is a relationship that I am sorry to see come to an end. These two were so cute together!

Cutie Watch: Reese and Deacon

We see lots of pictures of Reese Witherspoon, but it’s a rare opportunity when we see her with her son, Deacon. She seems to do a pretty good job of keeping the paparazzi at bay. But on this particular day, the paps were lucky enough to catch Reese, who is in a jolly good mood, walking hand in hand with her son Deacon. According to Gossip Center, this particular jaunt comes after Reese was away in London for awhile. And it was in London that Reese thought she had broken her foot. Apparently not as we see no cast in these pictures. But she did injure her foot the same way I always injure myself – in the goofiest of ways. From Gossip Center,

“The mother/son outing comes after Reese returned home from a trip to London, during which time she happened to injure her foot.

She told press, “I think I broke my foot. I’m not sure, I haven’t had a scan yet. I was taking a nap yesterday because I was real tired, I had jet lag. You know when your foot falls asleep… Then I stood up. Someone called me on the phone and I went to answer the phone, and I said, ‘Oh I tripped over my shoe or something!’ I looked down and it was my foot I had tripped over! And I hadn’t had a thing to drink! I was stone sober! Then it swelled up and now it’s all black and blue.”

Good thing that she clears it up for us that she hadn’t had a drop to drink. I really don’t think anyone would have assumed that she was drunk when it happened. Reese just doesn’t seem like the huge lush type. But, I’m glad she’s okay and hopefully now that she’s back in town, we’ll get some more cutie watches with her and Deacon. They’re just tooo cute!

Apparently We Thought Reese and Jake Had Split Up. But They Haven’t.

I don’t like the fact that there are rumors floating around that Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have split up one bit! I didn’t even hear about rumors of these two being in trouble until I read a denial of the rumor from Reese’s camp. Apparently, the two are fine and the rumors are not true. But I don’t know. Once rumors start, usually sooner or later with things like this, they turn out being true a couple of months down the road. And the two have been pretty quiet about their relationship, up until just lately. I had thought that was a sign that they really were starting to become very, very serious and so, ready to start showing that love more. Hopefully, I’m right and this really is just an ugly rumor. The actress met Gyllenhaal, 28, while filming 2007’s Rendition, and the pair stepped out together, confirming their relationship in summer 2008.

In the April 2009 issue of Elle, the actress gushed about Gyllenhaal. “He’s fabulous. He really is a fantastic guy.”

Witherspoon divorced actor Ryan Phillippe in 2007 after eight years together; they have two children: Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6. After two years together, Gyllenhaal and girlfriend Kirsten Dunst called it quits in 2004.

Witherspoon told Parade magazine last year, “Things change..But your ability to love remains intact. Oh, I have a lot of hope for love! I do!”

Reese does always seem so positive and hopeful, doesn’t she? Even when she was going through that nasty divorce with that nasty Phillipe. But I really hope that any rumors of Reese and Jake really are just rumors that they are laughing away together. I love these two together so much and it seems as though they’ve worked really hard, and really slowly, at making their relationship what it is. And Reese really was gushing about him just last month. So who knows. But I’m keeping my fingers crossed for these two.

*Sigh* Don’t Ya Just Loooove Reese?

I am in awe of Reese Witherspoon. I have been ever since I first saw her in Cruel Intentions. I actually even joke about she’s my BFF sometimes. Not because I’m obsessed but because I just loooove her that much! She’s hot, she’s smart, and she doesn’t let the tabloids get her down! Now, you’ve gotta love a girl like that! And that is why I’m so happy that she’s currently filming a new movie How Do You Know? Because you know what means – promote, promote, promote! So we can expect to see a whole lot more of Reese and hear her endearing tidbits about her life. This time, it’s In Style that she sat down with and it was Jake Gyllenhaal that she talked about. Nothing too juicy but heck, I’m just glad to hear that the two are still together! From In Style,

“On life with Jake: “Jake is a great cook — he does a lot. We spend the weekends outside LA, in Ojai, where I have a farmhouse. We have chickens and we grow cucumbers and tomatoes. I love it. It reminds me of where I grew up in Tennessee.”
On working out: “I try to exercise every day. I like to run for about an hour, and I’m big into working out with girlfriends . . . It’s an acquired skill, being able to discuss your love life, children and friends, all while you’re running! But we have mastered it.”
On her Southern upbringing: “Sometimes it’s really difficult for me, being far away from home. I never imagined that my children wouldn’t grow up next door to my brother’s children. Or my mom and dad wouldn’t constantly be around. At least I have a lot of Southern friends in LA — I gravitate toward them.”

Seriously, Reese really could be my BFF. I’d have to find something else that would make her gravitate towards me though because unfortunately, I’m not from the South. But, I have always wanted to raise chickens and I have been known to grow my own veggies in the summertime. And the running thing? I’d love it! Could you imagine jogging alongside Reese and dishing about guys and the kiddies? I might have to train a bit to keep up with her from the looks of it but, I think I’m up for it.

When are These Two Gonna get Married, Already?

I am actually in no rush to see Reese Witherspoon marry anybody else any time soon. But  she and Jake Gyllenhaal are just so cute together I can’t help but want to push them both down the aisle just a tiny bit! There actually is no talk of wedding plans yet but Jake did recently visit his sweetie on the set of her new movie How Do You Know? and the two seem to still be happy, happy, happy. From Pop Sugar,

“Reese Witherspoon had both her men with her while filming How Do You Know? in DC yesterday. Jake Gyllenhaal kept her entertained between takes, but when the cameras started rolling, she only had eyes for her costar Paul Rudd. The shoot went late into the evening, but Jake stuck around until they packed it in for the night.”

These two are super-cute together, there’s no doubt about it. And from the looks of it, Reese will be just as super-cute in this new movie with her costar, Paul Rudd. Even though she’s dressed for the set here and just playing a role, Reese still looks very sweet, very fresh-faced, and very cute! Can’t wait to see the movie, and in the meanwhile, we’ll keep an ear out for wedding bells!

Shocking Reese Behavior

While Reese Witherspoon has had her fair share of headlines regarding her love life, this story isn’t actually one of them. I’m posting it anyways simply because, it’s so shocking to hear about Reese acting in a way that’s anything other than calm, cool, fun, and of course, the ever-doting mother. But even Reese has her days and it seems that just last week, she had a very Nicole Richie moment herself. From Gossip Girls,

“Not in the best of moods on this particular day, a slightly peeved Reese Witherspoon was spotted making her way around Santa Monica on Saturday (March 28).

Yelling at paparazzi following closeby, the 33-year-old actress allegedly grabbed up one of the shutterbug’s camera’s - unwilling to give it back as she made her way to her nearby car.

The weekend outing coincides with the recent release of Reese’s new animated flick, “Monsters vs. Aliens” - which hit theaters just yesterday.

Asked what drew her to the film, the bubbly blonde replied: “Its message. I think it’s great that this movie has a message that no matter how weird you feel you definitely have a place in this world and sometimes that can be your greatest benefit. I thought it was a great evolution of a character who starts out as sort of this 1950s, very innocent, sweet girl and she has to find her inner strength to realize she has to be responsible for herself and ultimately save herself and save the world.”

So I guess when Reese has got a scowl on her face, the paps may want to stay clear. At least she didn’t hit him, throw the camera at him, or drive over his foot, as we all have known celebrities to do in the past. What I like about this story so much is that it makes Reese out to be an actual person and while she always seems so down-to-earth anyways, she does at the same time usually play the part of the happy, bubbly blonde. It’s good to see that she lets loose with some explicits once in a while, before all of the happiness becomes nauseating. It shows another side of her that I think is important to see, because it’s real.
