Miley’s Troubles

She may not seem to have many at the moment but the writing on the wall is crystal-clear in the case of Miley Cyrus, who thought she was a little more subtle than she actually was when she recently appeared on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. She tries to maneuver around the fact that she and Justin Gaston, who happens to be an underwear model by the way, are dating. But with the talk about how much her family loves him and how much she’s ‘gushing’, it’s not hard to read between the lines here. From MTV.com,

“Miley Cyrus isn’t confirming her relationship with 20-year-old underwear model and aspiring musician Justin Gaston, but then again, she isn’t exactly denying it either.

“Maybe, maybe not,” she said Thursday (October 23) on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show, when asked if they were an item. “Right now, everything is, like, really good. I haven’t really been answering the question much just because we’re just really happy with everything and the way everything has worked out.

“I’m totally gushing right now!” she added.

The 15-year-old admits that when the two started hanging out last month, she didn’t appreciate everyone putting their two cents in about the relationship. “After my last two years, there’s been a lot of things that happened, so I’ve learned just not to judge anyone and go into our friendship with an open mind and not really worry about the age or anything,” she explained.”

Ummm….where are this girl’s parents? Really, they’re rejoicing over the fact that she’s dating a 20-year-old and not seeing a problem with it? There’s a HUGE problem with it! It’s actually the kind of problem that’s illegal! I know that 15 soon-to-be 16-year olds are naive and sometimes not thinking with a clear head but where are her parents to step in and make sure this kind of thing doesn’t happen? Have they forgotten how old she is? It blows my mind that she’s taking pictures, running around Europe claiming she’s ‘fallen in love 20 times already!’ and now dating someone much her senior, and that they are nowhere to be seen. Miley may be loving life (and boys) at the moment but this kind of behavior is dangerous and if she continues, she will soon be seeing a heap of trouble!

Miley Cyrus on Another Date

But it’s not with Cody Linley, her Hannah Montana co-star, as she had been spotted with just recently on what seemed like a date. And while I’ve never heard of him before, Justin Gatson certainly looks a little more mature and more - ahem, experience than Linley. From the Gossip Girls,

“Enjoying the company of Nashville Star hunk Justin Gatson, Miley Cyrus had an action-packed Saturday (September 13), as she was surrounded by family and friends during a Pasadena outing.

The 15-year-old “Hannah Montana” singer/actress was spotted playfully poking and laughing with her chiseled young male companion, with the duo, along with Miley’s family, going to church together before grabbing lunch at the Cheesecake Factory.”

Now all of this sounds pretty innocent but I definitely think that this is one girl who needs to be watched. By her parents, preferrably. It’s sad that I have to remind myself every time that I look at her that this girl is 15 years old. She seems so much older than that and I think other people see that too so when they hear these stories about her, they seem quick to exuse it. But innocent stuff like two kids in tanks tops poking each other and laughing and flirting, while fun and sweet, can quickly turn in a bad direction and Miley just seems like the type of girl who’s particularly vulnerable to it. As a side note, I never realized until I saw this picture how identical she looks to Shannen Doherty.
