J.Lo and Marc will Celebrate Valentine’s Day

By singing a duet together and then getting a divorce. You gotta hand it to the stars these days who think that it’s appropriate to plan out when you’re going to get divorced, and then decide on huge, grand gestures to end the marriage with - such as singing a duet together just before you sign the final divorce papers. Yes, this is very reminiscent of Madonna and Guy Ritchie. From Celebitchy,

“Marc and Jennifer are planning on announcing their divorce right after Marc’s show at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 14,” a friend of the couple tells us. “Jennifer is planning on joining Marc onstage for a surprise duet. Things haven’t been right for a while now, and they thought it would be a bittersweet farewell.”

Definitely one for theatrics in arenas, J.Lo confessed her pregnancy at a sold-out show in Miami during her El Cantante tour in November 2007 and will employ the same shock value a second time around.

“They’re definitely planning a clean break in February,” the source insists.”

The more I hear about this story the more I believe it. It doesn’t surprise me that either of these divas want to do something huge and dramatic to end their marriage but I think they did enough of that when they had twins together and couldn’t even stick it out till the little ones’ birthdays.

JLo and Marc Want you to Believe They’re Fine

There was talk just a few days ago that Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony were having problems. The rumors were started because JLo went out one night and didn’t wear her wedding ring and the very next day, both stars were out acting very affectionate and both sporting their most important bling on their left hands. Now their rep has come out with an official statement to say that the fact that JLo was missing her ring was really no biggie. From Contact Music,

“A spokesperson for JENNIFER LOPEZ and MARC ANTHONY has put to rest rumours the star couple’s marriage is on the rocks.
And now a representative has released a statement explaining the pair is still very much together and “doing great”.
The spokesperson says, “(These) are fabricated stories. He had a boys night out. She had a girls night out. There is nothing wrong with that.”

Well there is nothing wrong with that. I personally don’t understand why people need to take off their signs of commitment when they’re having a fun night out but maybe I’m just old-fashioned that way. There’s something seriously wrong with this story and if JLo and Marc running out to prove their love to the world didn’t plant doubts in my mind, this newest stunt certainly does. I’m predicting that these two really are in trouble and that it’s really just a matter of time.

Are JLo and Marc in Trouble?

I don’t understand these stars that feel as though they need to go out making public appearances and putting on this grand show of love every time that a rumor comes out that their coupledom is in trouble. Sarah Jessica and Matthew Broderick have done it, Madonna and Guy Ritchie have done it, and now Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are doing it. I hadn’t even heard yet the story that their marriage was in trouble when I read this piece that they have been trying to make the obligatory appearances to assure everyone that they’re okay. But there’s something about this story that really has me thinking that this story could really be true. From US,

“Multiple sources confirm to to Us Weekly their marriage is at a breaking point.

“They both didn’t wear their rings on purpose,” a mutual pal of the married couple of four years (who renewed their vows in October) tells Us. “Nothing Jennifer does is without purpose.”

While Anthony’s rep insists to Us, “They are doing great,” a source tells Us deep trouble has been brewing.

“He’s very, very controlling of her,” a close Anthony pal tells Us. “The skirts aren’t as short. You don’t see so much of that booty anymore.” The new Us Weekly also reports that Anthony also picks out Lopez’s clothes and keeps tabs on her phone calls.

But Lopez — who once claimed she “loved getting his opinions” — has become less interested in his approval since the birth of their 10-month-old twins, Max and Emme.

“She walks in from work, washes her hands and grabs the babies,” a longtime friend tells Us. “With him, it’s almost like, ‘Ugh, they’re crying again?’”

Another problem: Lopez — who once commanded $15 million per film — “blames Marc for her career going down the tubes,” says a mutual pal, adding that she’s bitter about the failure of their 2006 drama, El Cantante, which only grossed $7.5 million. (Her 2002 flick Maid in Manhattan earned over $94 million.)

“Jennifer looked around and said, ‘This is my life now? I’m a Long Island housewife?’” a pal says. “She hates that everything she worked for went down the tubes.”

Lopez isn’t the only one with growing resentment toward her husband. Her best friend, Leah Remini, also can’t stand him.”

As a side note, I find it interesting that Leah Remini, the fireball wife from King of Queens is JLo’s BFF. As for the rest of it goes, if Marc is really as controlling as this piece makes him out to be, I can totally see Jennifer not standing for it. She has always been a diva and I can see that being a Long Island housewife wouldn’t really be her thing. And JLo isn’t exactly known for being great in relationships either. If this story is in fact true, it’s just too bad that this time, there’s very small children that are going to get caught up in all of it as well.

A Bizarre Love Triangle

Are Hollywood stars really so petty? Okay, I’m slapping myself for asking the question as soon as it fell out of my mouth. But really, this goes way back to Grade 6 behavior and I would have expected more from stars that are generally thought to be so proper and classy. Everyone knows that Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes just can’t decide whether they are going to be friends or not. But now apparently, Victoria has decided to really go for the gut and cozy up to one of Katie’s pals in an attempt to make her jealous. Okay, seriously? From The Pop Crunch Show,

“Victoria Beckham went out of her way to be photographed with Jennifer Lopez during New York Spring Fashion Week 2009 earlier this month because she desperately wants to irk on-again/off-again pal Katie Holmes, a new tabloid scoop claims.

Although both women were in the Big Apple, they refused to see each other “because of a falling out over Tom,” Star Magazine reports.

Posh has decided to befriend Jenn in a bid to make Katie jealous.

“Posh knows Katie is close with JLo.”

I don’t think this move to America has been very good for Posh. She seemed relatively normal, and even a little funny, when the Beckham’s first moved but she just seems to have gotten so much trashier and materialistic than she did even when she was across the pond. And really how does JLo feel about being put right smack-dab in the middle of that whole immature mess? I’m sure she’s busy enough with those two new babies that she doesn’t need to play into this crap. Stupid games by stupid people.

Ashlee may be Eating for Three!

Everything becomes a trend in Hollywood and the case is no different when it comes to having babies. First everyone gets pregnant together and now they’re all having twins together. Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Lopez, and of course the Brangelina’s are just a few of the stars that have recently had twins join the family and now it appears as though Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are about to join the twin baby train. From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“According to Pete Wentz’s pal Tyga, the singer and wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting twins later this year.
“They’re having twins,” Tyga said in an exclusive interview yesterday at the House of Hype’s pre-VMA barbeque. “They’re really happy.”
In June, Pete referred to the baby as “them” but quickly disputed that they were having twins, stating,
“That was waaaaay wrong. I meant to say ‘the baby’ and said ‘them’ ’cause it was 7 a.m. Not in a BS way: I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally misspoke ’cause we dunno if it’s a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely, and I totally blew it on this one.”
A rep for the couple insists only one baby is on the way, though,
“It is not true.

Now this story I am tempted to believe. The anti-Pete Wentz one that is. I’m sorry but isn’t this the same dude that completely denied the whole pregnancy until it was too far into it to hide anymore? I’m not saying he didn’t have good reason but I can’t trust him anymore. And he may have had a good reason for denying the pregnancy in the early stages but he didn’t just deny it, he was absolutely outraged by it, yelling about how he didn’t know why people had to make crap up and such. And now he’s saying that he mispoke because he was tired. Puh-leaze. What bothers me about this couple is that they claim to be so loyal to their fans but they can’t just be straight with them about things. And really, why lie about twins? That is just BS.

J.Lo Proves herself Once Again

I was just beginning to like Jennifer Lopez and I couldn’t exactly put my finger on why but then I read a recent interview with her and it came to - she hasn’t been in the media lately as she stays at home with her twins. Meaning that I haven’t had to look at her or hear anything that she had to say which made me like her. Then I read this interview in the Daily Blabber and realize that no matter how long she stays out of the spotlight, J.Lo will always come back and prove how dumb she is. From the Daily Blabber,

“Jenny says that she immediately knew when she was pregnant, waaaaay before ever taking a pregnancy test, because she felt something in her belly — literally.

“I was sitting down doing hair and makeup and I felt a flutter,” she told the mag. “The weirdest little…flourish. My makeup artist said ‘What’s the matter?’ I didn’t say anything, but in my head, I was like, I have life inside me!”

Now come on, Jen. Who’s supposed to believe that she could actually feel the babies inside of her at that early stage. And ‘I have life inside me!’? Oh please. That statement alone proves how much of a diva she is. Could we really be any more dramatic? Yep, she’s an idiot.

More Eva Pregnancy Rumors

Eva Longoria claimed a few months ago that she was sick and tired of everyone asking ‘Is she? Or isn’t she?’ in regards to her, her belly, and her husband, Tony Parker. But just weeks ago, someone from Eva’s camp slipped and told the press that she and Tony were in fact desperately trying to get pregnant. Right after, not only has Eva been photographed a million times with her potential ‘bump’ but she has also made it clear that even if she is pregnant, she’s not fessing up any time soon. “Actress EVA LONGORIA PARKER has fuelled reports she is expecting her first child with husband TONY PARKER - after she was photographed with a protruding stomach.
The Desperate Housewives beauty married French basketball star Parker in July last year (07) and the couple has been the subject of pregnancy rumours ever since.
And paparazzi pictures taken of Longoria Parker with her husband on Tuesday night (19Aug08) - revealing the actress’ suspicious-looking swollen belly - have sent gossips into a spin.

Longoria Parker recently admitted she would want to keep her pregnancy a secret, insisting: “I agree with Jennifer Lopez. Somebody asked her, ‘Why did you hide your pregnancy for so long?’ She said, ‘I didn’t hide it from the people who needed to know.’”

There have also been reports that she was told that she needed to gain weight for the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives. Was this a ploy so that they could hide her pregnancy on the show as well? Oh, that’s definitely something to think about that will fuel this fire.

Angelina Picture as Fake as she Is

Remember this picture? Yep, just like I thought last week when it was released, it’s a complete fake. That woman is not Angelina Jolie and is in fact just another woman who other than being another patient at the hospital, has nothing to do with the birth of those twins. Of course Angelina would never pose in front of the window like that, it’s something that seems almost human! And she’s so busy being pampered in her four-room suite hotel, er sorry, hospital room that overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, while she is being “observed” that she’s far too busy to keep in touch with the real world. In fact, the windows in the Queen’s rooms are specially coated so that cameras cannot see into the room from the other side. Oh please. Just how special do you think you are? The hospital has confirmed that the said belly shots are definitely not that of the Wanted actress in People,

“Don’t expect to catch any glimpses of Angelina Jolie in her hospital room.

The hospital in Nice, France, where Jolie, 33, is staying as she awaits the birth of her twins has coated the windows of her room with special insulating material that cameras cannot see through, the Associated Press reports. The news comes after several photographs – allegedly of Jolie and Brad Pitt – have surfaced.

“It is impossible to see into Mr. Brad Pitt and Mrs. Angelina Jolie’s room,” a rep for the Fondation Lenval hospital said in a statement. “So any pictures released are either posed fakes set up by paparazzi, or, they are pictures of other patients. We hope this is clearly understood out of respect for all patients in this clinic.”

Oh puh-leaze. Great so no one can see in. I understand that they’re famous but what other stars have had to go to these extremes? I thought it was bad when Jennifer Lopez had the hospital running hospital drills before her birth but she managed to stay in the country. And she was famous, and she had a famous husband, and she was having twins! Get over yourself, Angelina. Everybody else already has.

After the Birth

Hollywood is now so deep into the baby boom industry that it’s hard to keep up with who is doing what and how with their little ones. While it’s safe to say that everybody is happy and healthy, we of course, are always looking for more than that. Here are a few of the new to have given birth and how they are doing with parenthood.

Jessica Alba speaks out about vaccines, autism, and being a laid-back parent. You can always know that someone knows what they’re talking about when they interject “or something” into the conversation. Real specific. But we really should all take heed at what she’s saying. She has been a parent for a whole month already.

And Matthew McConaughey, who just had his baby on Monday, has already started people talking about him. We’ve now been told that his son’s name is Levi. In the interview with US, he also gives an explanation for the name. Matt and long-time girlfriend, Camilla Alves, have also accepted a deal with OK magazine to sell the first baby pictures for 3 million dollars.

I’m not sure how much Jamie Lynn Spears got from the same magazine for the first pictures of her and little baby Maddie but they appear on the cover this week. She is loving being back home and being a new mommy. But don’t be surprised if you don’t recognize Jamie Lynn. I’d be surprised if that’s even her on the cover, it’s been so airbrushed.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have also given explanations for the name of their baby daughter, Sunday Rose, also born this past Monday. After their explanation, I’m still of the opinion that Sunday is not a good name for a child but then again, it’s not my baby. And Nicole, always showing how she’s a lady full of class has turned down many deals for the first pictures but still promise to show her to the world very soon.

And five months after J.Lo had her precious bundles, Emme and Max, she is taking some chill time by cruising around on a luxury yacht in Italy with the babies’ daddy, Marc Anthony. People are talking about her being back in a bikini such a short time after delivering two babies and a lot of people are talking about how it’s nice to not see celebrities that are perfect and stick thin. I don’t know, I’d trade my body for hers any day!

TomKat’s Humble Home Now Built

Well Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have completed construction on their new home in Beverly Hills and let me tell you, it’s a far cry from what we saw on Oprah when she and Tom were huddled in a cozy cabin in Teluride, Colorado. The estate, which is worth a whopping 35 million dollars, was the venue of the couple’s housewarming party on Saturday night. From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes hosted an A-list housewarming party on Saturday night at their new Beverly Hills mansion. Some of the stars on the guest list included Oprah Winfrey, Jennifer Lopez, Brooke Shields, Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria Parker and Kyra Sedgwick.

It was also a family affair with Holmes’ parents from Ohio and all of the Cruise children: Isabella, 15, Connor, 13, and Suri, 2. Cruise and Holmes purchased the 1.3-acre $35 million estate last summer and have spent the last year on renovations.

Guests began arriving around 9 p.m. and were driven up the long driveway to a large fountain by a valet service. The party was both indoors and outdoors and staffed over 50 people, including world-renouned chef, Wolfgang Puck who catered the event. On the back lawn, cocktails and appetizers were served to guests as they lounged on white couches under heat lamps, the trees were adorned with white lights and an orchestra played music. The festivities ended around 1 a.m.”

I find it particularly interesting that Brooke Shields was there even though there has been such tension between her and Cruise in the past. It also seems as though Tom and Katie are back to doing what they do best - showing off how great they are and how much money they have. I know they earned it and blah, blah, blah but flaunting it seems unecessary. Who needs a 35 billion dollar home?
