I’m Really Starting to Not Like Gwen Stefani

I remember the days when No Doubt was one of the coolest bands around and Gwen Stefani was the epitome of cool. I was in high school, which means that that was about 10 years ago. Now she’s trying to make this desperate comeback with the band of long ago but they are doing it in a way that’s most unusual for has-been bands. They are going on tour but not making any new music. They’re fighting in the studio and they’re telling their fans about it! How much sense does that make? 

Gwen has recently appeared on the cover of Elle and she has given the inside scoop as to just what exactly is going on with this band - and it’s not flattering. According to Gwen, the other band mates just don’t know how to make good music and they’re all jealous of her. What?!? I don’t understand how you can just come out and say that about people that are in the same band as you. I wonder how they feel about that. From Pop Crunch,

“Gwen Stefani says getting back together with No Doubt after a nearly five year hiatus came with some complications. In a new interview with the July issue of Elle Magazine, the “Rich Girl” rocker admits there was some conflict when she got back together with the band.

Gwen says the band attempted to write a few new tracks before going on tour, but were unable to come up with new material. Tensions reached a boiling point when No Doubt stepped into the studio to record a cover of Adam And The Ants’ ’80s hit “Stand and Deliver;” Gwen and bass player Tony Kanal got into “a heated conversation” over the track.

“Everybody’s making it like there’s all this tension, you know, like I stepped away from the band and now they’re jealous of me, and look, maybe there is a little bit of that,” she explains.

“But some fights aren’t really what they seem,” Gwen quickly adds. “I think it was a little about the song, and a little about our coming back together. There was this little air bubble that needed to pop, you know?”

Was that little air bubble in her head? Seriously, why would they be jealous of her? Because she’s the lead singer and the face of the band? That didn’t seem to be a problem before. Or because there’s rumored to be serious trouble in her marriage? Something I wouldn’t be remotely jealous of. I don’t understand how getting back together can cause conflict and I really, really don’t understand why a band would decide to get back together when they couldn’t even come up with any new music! For God’s sakes, the New Kids even did better than that!

Should Gwen be Mad at Gavin?

Wow - this is a shocker! It seems that way back before Gavin Rossdale married Gwenny-baby, he had a most serious relationship. Not news in itself, we all have pasts but this relationship was with a cross dresser, Peter Robinson, or Marilyn, whichever you decide to call him. Robinson is just coming out now with the news and I’m not really too sure why. Apparently he was asked years ago to keep it on the down-low and he’s complied up to this point. Why break the silence now? To make a quick buck? Perhaps. But his motivation aside, is this story really true? Are one of Hollywood’s fairy tale couples about to come to an end? “Marilyn, aka Peter Robinson, is alleging a five year romantic relationship with Gavin Rossdale. The rumors surfaced back in 1995, but were denied by both parties. Now Marilyn says that was done for Gavin’s career.

Marilyn, a cross dresser also known as Peter Robinson, is coming forward claiming that he and Gavin Rossdale were together for five years. The rumors first came into light in 1995 when Boy George’s biography, Take It Like a Man, was released and revealed that Marilyn and Gavin had a relationship in the 80’s. Both parties denied the claim, but now Marilyn says that was done for Gavin’s career.

“He was just becoming successful in America. I agreed to lie against every grain in my body. We were together five years, but it felt like forty. Marilyn added Rossdale “was the love of my life.”

Since then, Gavin married, and has two children with Gwen Stefani. The tow seem to be made for each other, making their high profile relationship seem effortless. It is unclear why Marilyn is coming forward with this information now, but the Indian Times is claiming that it is causing a rift in Gavin and Gwen’s marriage.”

This could really spell trouble for Gwen and Gavin if it turns out to be true and if it turns out to be something that Gwen didn’t know about. So should Gwen be mad? Well that all depends, doesn’t it? It’s not unheard of for people to have same-sex relationships only to end up with someone of the opposite sex. And if the story’s true and Gavin was straight-up about it with her before they got married, I don’t think she would be mad or should be mad. But if it’s true and he did keep it from her, that’s a major betrayal and one that could put them in major jeopardy.

Celebrity Baby Update

There’s no doubt that celebrity babies are as busy as their parents and recently, two of Hollywood’s most adorable faces were seen out and about, both on different continents. Harlow Winter Madden was seen out with her mom, Nicole Richie, recently for New York’s Fashion Week. I must say, the two looked pretty darn cute and as I much as I love all of the usual pictures of these two, it’s nice to see something different than Nicole going out to get her morning cup of coffee with the covered stroller. I guess this summer, we may be seeing more of Harlow’s adorable little cheeks, not a bad thing at all. Thanks to Gossip Girls for the pic and the caption.

Meanwhile, Zuma Rossdale goes ethnic across the pond as he was spotted outand about with his brother and their nanny in the charming streets of London. Zuma’s hat is not only super cute but it may also carry a greater meaning than just the designer’s name undoubtedly stamped somewhere across it. From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“Kingston was seen wearing a cute white and blue knitted beanie while eating a ‘pain au chocolate’ pastry. Wrapped in a blanket, Zuma also wore an adorable beanie with the Pan-African colors of the Jamaican Rastafari. Perhaps the family are celebrating their connection to the Rastafarian movement, after all they did name their son Kingston (which is the capital city of Jamaica). Also, one of Zuma’s middle names is Nesta, in reference to Bob Marley (the legendary reggae musician Robert Nesta Marley was born in Jamaica).”

Meaning or no meaning, it’s super cute and the baby underneath it is even cuter! This pic was taken on Valentine’s Day and the little guy was seen being carried around by his mom, Gwen Stefani in LA just yesterday. Yep, celebrity babies certainly know about there being no rest for the weary!

Check Gwen Out, Baby!

*Sigh* What it would be like to be a huge star with professional trainers and chefs to whip you back into shape weeks after having your baby. I’m sure such is the case for Gwen Stefani, who is looking absolutely fabulous as she is spotted out and about not long after giving birth to new son, Zuma. And she proves herself once again as a Super Mom as she is quoted in the Gossip Girls,

“I feel happier now, I know every mother must feel this way, but watching your child grow up and learn new things every day is one of the greatest and purest pleasures you can have.”

Every time I see Gwen in an interview, she is talking about how much she loves her kids and she does it in such a cool way. Well that’s just Gwen for ya. Cool chick, cool mom.

It Finally Happened! Gwen had her Baby!

So just when we were all beginning to think that Gwen Stefani’s pregnancy must be fake because she had just been pregnant for waaayyy too long, Gwen had her baby this morning!! The baby, who will be little brother to Kingston James, the first baby born to Gwen and her husband Gavin Rossdale, was born early this morning and initially, the paparazzi thought that this may not be it, due to the fact that Gwen was thought to be giving birth two weeks ago when she went for a simple prenatal visit. From E! Online,

“Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale welcomed their second little prince today, E! News has confirmed.

Son Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale was born Thursday at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, joining 2-year-old brother Kingston in the musically inclined couple’s burgeoning brood.

The family’s newest addition arrived at 12:46 p.m., weighing 8.5 pounds.

“Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy,” a rep for the couple said in a statement.”

I am so happy that these two finally had their baby! That must have seemed like a super-long pregnancy because it was! Gavin’s dad told the press back in January that Gwen was expecting again and so, if he was already that comfortable with the news, it mustn’t have been all that new to him. I wonder if she was overdue and for how long? Hopefully, we’ll get all those juicy details when the first pics come out!

When will Gwen have her Baby?

Yes, Gwen Stefani is still massively pregnant and she was shot out and about this weekend with that great big tummy of hers leading the way! I love pregnant Gwen, I just think she’s so darn cute! I’m not entirely sure on when she is due but I know that pregnancy rumors started last December and she confirmed it at one of her Florida concerts at the end of January. So, it should be pretty soon! Gwen and her rocker husband, Gavin Rossdale, have decided to keep the sex of the baby a surprise for them and the rest of the world so we’ll have to see if their son, Kingston has a little brother or little sister. Apparantly, he is soaking up all kinds of spoiling from his parents before the new one is here. From Fametastic,

“The couple, who are currently based in London, have been spotted doting on their two year old son recently, taking him on tourist trips around the city, including to London Zoo, and stocking up on toys at Hamleys.

A source explained: “They know they’re going to be busy with the new one within a few weeks so want to make sure that Kingston knows he’s loved.

“They’ve also had Kingston picked out toys and clothes for the new baby so he feels involved. He’s probably looking forward to the birth as much as them.”

This family is just so cute I want to pinch all of their cheeks!
