Crazy Quote from Crazy Katy

Katy Perry is a crazy bitch. I think she’s fantastic, but she’s a crazy bitch. From her choice of vintage-bathing-suit-style outfits, to her choice of clothing on-stage, to threatening to throw Coke in Kara DioGuardi’s face when she was a guest judge on American Idol, everything about Katy Perry screams “Crazy bitch!”

The latest news on Katy is in regards to her feelings on her new fiance, Russell Brand. While I have grown to love these two together, I have not grown to love Russell Brand just yet. And I certainly don’t feel the same way about him as Katy. In her latest quote, she has compared him to Elvis, Jim Morrison, Charles Manson and Jesus. Yes, Jesus. She also says that she needs to stay in bed because Russell’s too smart. Huh? The quote comes from Celebrity Dirty Laundry,

“He’s good for me, he’s the boss, he calls the shots. But I like that. I’ve been waiting for someone I couldn’t steamroll. His look is Jim Morrison meets Charles Manson meets Jesus meets a little bit of Elvis Presley. He’s a walking genius. Just standing next to him makes me smarter. I love that Katy seems so smitten by Russell. And I don’t even mind the fact that she talks about steamrolling guys. I mean, who hasn’t been there, right? But it’s the ‘responsibility’ part and the ‘bedridden’ part that I have trouble with. I’ve been around some pretty smart people. Probably people that are even smarter than Russell Brand. But, I haven’t felt the need to stay in bed for a week because of it.

And as for Russell’s reputation and Katy having to deal with the responsibility of that? I first heard of Russell Brand when he was rumored to be dating Britney Spears. Then I heard of him again when it was rumored that he was dating Katy Perry. So maybe Russell is the one who should be worried about the responsibility of standing next to Katy’s reputation. Ah Katy. You so crazy!

What’s New With Jamie Lynn Spears?

As I was writing a post about Britney Spears the other day, I couldn’t help but wonder what was new with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and that cute little baby she had some time ago. It seems that Jamie Lynn has definitely faded into the background and become known only as “Britney Spears’ sister”, despite my attempts to prevent that from happening. But, there seems to be a lot that’s new with Britney’s lil sis. She’s dumped her baby daddy, Casey Aldridge, and hooked up with someone quite a bit older than her. His name is James Watson and he’s everything Jamie Lynn needs. He’s ten years older than she is, she can see a future with him, and he’s got money. Sounds like a match made in heaven, doesn’t it? “Britney Spears’ little sister Jamie Lynn Spears has reportedly broken up with her baby daddy Casey Aldridge and she has already found a new love, a 28 year-old local businessman by the name of James Watson.

The mother of the 19-month old Maddie Briann and James, who owns a company called Advanced Multimedia Partners, started dating last December and they are apparently really happy together. James is more mature, ambitious and a big spender, which is something that Jamie enjoys in a man.

“He installs communications equipment and high-definition TVs for large corporations,” the source says. “James enjoys making money — and enjoys spending it too.”

“They started dating last December,” a source tells Star. “I don’t think James cares at all about who she is; they really seem to like each other.”

Jamie could not imagine a future with Casey since he is young, immature and not exactly career oriented. The 18 year-old mom only stayed with her baby’s daddy for good publicity. “Even when she was pregnant, she didn’t really see a future with him,” a friend tells Star. “She only gave the impression of staying with him so long because it looked better in the eyes of the public.”

Okay firstly, I’m not buying the whole bit about how Jamie Lynn stayed with Casey because it looked good in the eyes of the public. Since when did either of the Spears’ girls what looked good to us? And good on them for it! Not to mention the fact that Jamie Lynn has been out of the eye of the public for quite some time. So, if this whole thing with her and Casey just went down recently, I highly doubt she was staying with him for appearances’ sake.

It does disappoint me that Jamie Lynn is so eager to be with someone because they have money. And I don’t know that an 18-year-old dating a 28-year-old is such a good idea either. But since when did Jamie Lynn Spears ever make good decisions? Sadly, it’s easy to see why she did only become known as Britney Spears’ sister.

Has Britney Lost it Again?

I really hate to say anything bad about Britney Spears. Well okay, maybe not anything but generally, I try to take it easy on the girl. She’s been through a lot of crap, has never had a life of her own, and has worked hard to rebuild herself. I realize she’s done all of this while rolling around in her millions of dollars but actually, she hasn’t been doing that lately. And she may not be for some time. And this post isn’t saying anything bad about Britney either. Except that I do feel badly for her and think that people should start to see she’s not all that crazy anymore.

Britney Spears had a court hearing on January 22 to decide whether or not her father, Jamie Spears, should remain her conservator. Unfortunately for Brit, the courts sided with her dad and Britney remains under his control. And from the sounds of it, she didn’t get a fair fight either. From National Enquirer,

“Britney Spears “completely broke down” in the car on the way home from her Jan. 22 court date after realizing she may never get out from under her father Jamie’s conservatorship, The ENQUIRER has learned.

And when the father and daughter arrived back at Britney’s home, she “tore into him like a mad woman,” divulged a source.

“Her bodyguards had to physically restrain her from hitting Jamie. It was a terrible scene. Britney was totally out of control.”

The 28-year-old performer had been hoping to speak to the judge privately during the hearing, which was closed to the public, but her request was denied. Instead, she listened as her doctors gave Jamie credit for her progress over the past year.

They also told the court Britney still wasn’t capable of handling her own medical care or personal life.

On the way home, Britney called ex-husband Kevin Federline and told him “she wants to flee the country with the boys,” divulged the source.

Fearing she may try to run, Jamie has hired two more bodyguards. One is posted outside Britney’s bedroom door 24 hours a day, according to the source.

Britney is so angry,she has tried to break several pieces of surveillance equipment used to monitor her.

“Her family is very worried because Britney hasn’t acted out like this in a long time,” added the source.

“They fear she will do something desperate.”

Okay, can we give the girl a break? Just a tiny one. Yes, I give Jamie Spears all the credit in the world for helping – helping- Britney get back on her feet. But no one can tell me that it didn’t take a hell of a lot of hard work on her part to make it happen. I can understand her ripping into her dad. I’d be pretty upset too if someone tried to make it clear 3 years after the fact that I couldn’t handle myself when I knew much, much better.

And as for the part about hitting him? Well, let’s just hope that’s not true. I mean, I can’t say I wouldn’t have hit him myself but it definitely doesn’t make her case any stronger. The same goes with taking off with the kids. Let’s hope that Britney really does know better at this point. That would look incredibly bad and I’m not sure, but I think she’s even capable of having charges pressed against her if she were to do something like that. Again, let’s hope that she knows better and that it’s not true. Or, in the very least, that it was something that was said in the heat of the moment and that Britney would never do it.

Michael Lohan Should Take Lessons from Jamie Spears

I hate to lump Michael Lohan’s name in with Jamie Spears when it comes to celebrity dads but sadly, when people hear the word ‘conservatorship’, they automatically think of Britney Spears and the legal hold that her dad still has over her. Unfortunately for Michael Lohan, that was a case of a father actually seeing that his daughter was in trouble and wanting to help her. It’s unfortunate for the ultimate schmuck of dads because Michael is now seeking to gain the same type of conservatorship over his daughter Lindsay. Of course, this enraged Lindsay and she went straight to Twitter to state her case. From Gossip Center,

“Having spent the Halloween holiday in Morocco, Lindsay Lohan made sure to fit in a little time to lash out at her dad, Michael Lohan, via her Twitter account.

The “Mean Girls” actress made her comments after reports surfaced claiming that her attention-loving dad was trying to gain conservatorship over her affairs and is shopping around personal taped family conversations.

Of the situation, LiLo tells, “My father is a lunatic & doesn’t even deserve such a title since he’s never been around in my life other than when he’d threaten me & my family. He should be where he has always put himself after verbally abusing and physically abusing people all my life-behind bars.”

Continuing on, Miss Lohan adds, “It’s so sad to get a phone call from my baby sister just now asking, ‘why is daddy doing this?’ Through tears. He’s crossed the lines & hurt me & my family 4 the last time.”

I have to say, Lindsay Lohan was once headed for trouble and now she’s knee-deep in it. I definitely do think that someone needs to step in at this point to try and help the girl out but I am also quite positive that person should not be Michael Lohan. If this is true, it would be the ultimate slap in the face to her, if any court were crazy enough to grant it, which is a whole other story in itself.

What is Going on With Katy Perry?

Katy Perry and Travis McCoy broke up, for the first time, in January. And Katy was so devastated by the split that she talked about it openly in her shows and talked about how much her heart was hurting. But not too soon after talking about her broken heart, there were rumors that Katy was making the rounds in Hollywood with her eye on some big names, such as Benji Madden, who at the time had recently split with Paris Hilton. Then Katy and Travis kissed and made up in April and everything seemed to be hunky-dory. And, we really haven’t heard too much about the couple since then. Or, did I miss something and they have broken up again?

That seems to be the case if this story regarding Katy and Russell Brand is true. Russell Brand is one of the most sought-after photographers in Hollywood, not to mention his budding acting career with parts in movies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The story now goes that these two might have actually hooked up. So, what about Travis? Apparently he’s out of the picture as Katy and Russell spend some time in Paris and there are even rumors that Katy has sent Russell some naked photos of herself via text. And you would think that celebrities have learned their lesson about getting their hoo-hoos caught on tape! The first story, about the alleged texting, comes from Pop Crunch,

Oh, Katy, I expected more of you! But the photo seems to have worked as now the two are cavorting around Paris and acting very lovey-dovey, holding hands and such. That story comes from People,

Using his “Rusty Rockets” alias, Brand tweeted to his followers Wednesday: “I’m in ‘Gay Paris’ – I swear as an Englishman that by the time I leave tomorrow it’ll be known as ‘Hetero Paris.’ Or at least Bi Paris.’ X”

The break in Paris follows their reported weeklong break in Thailand together and, last weekend, they were spotted strolling in London. And on Saturday, Perry was spotted doing the walk of shame from Brand’s house in London.”

So it seems the stories probably are true and Katy Perry has probably broken up with Travis McCoy once and for all. I’ve never seen the attraction to Russell Brand. Britney Spears was also rumored to be with him at one point and I just don’t get it. He’s not hot, he’s not sexy, he’s not young, like these women are. I just don’t get it….

Britney Gets Some Hang Time with her Kids

On a slow news day, it’s also a slow and relaxing day for Britney Spears. She’s been seen toting around her two little ones just about everywhere in New York. Mostly, they were seen taking in the Broadway show The Little Mermaid and the next day they were seen taking a ride through Central Park in a pedicab. I think you can tell more and more that Britney is back to good health as she now seems to actually be enjoying her children, instead of just trying not to accidentally kill them. I’ll take these stories over the ones of children falling out of high chairs and being locked in bathrooms any day of the week and twice on Sundays! Good to see you’re back, Brit! She goes back to her own stage life tonight, as she gears up to keep on with the Circus tour tonight at Madison Square Gardens.

Jesus Luz is Madonna’s New Protege

Back off, Britney Spears, Madonna has a new protege in the making and it’s none other than her former lover, Jesus Luz. Reportedly, Madonna dumped the much-younger man just a short while ago but that doesn’t mean that she’s lost interest in making him a star. I guess the modeling career that she had laid out for him didn’t go so well because Madge’s next step is to make Jesus a pop star. Yeah, I can just see it now, can’t you? In my vision of the whole thing, it looks like it will probably be much like Paris Hilton’s singing career. He’ll release maybe one single and we’ll only know that he has an album because we read about it somewhere. Oh, a pop star Jesus Luz is not. From Pop Crunch,

Well, Jesus really is Madge’s little project that just won’t quit, isn’t he? Unfortunately for him, it’s going to be difficult to replicate the impact Madonna has had on music. I don’t know if he’s looked in a mirror lately, but he’s much different than Madonna. Not to mention the fact that not even someone of the same sex can replicate Madonna. She can try as hard as she wants but if Madonna wants a protege, she might want to find another Britney (let’s face it, Brit doesn’t need a mentor anymore.) But Jesus Luz just ain’t gonna cut it.

Britney’s Already Proving Herself

Just yesterday I was writing about how thrilled I was that Britney Spears could become her own woman at the end of the year by getting out from under her father’s conservatorship. And if anyone has doubts that Brit is thinking clearly about what’s good for her and her sons, this newest move will lay all fears to rest. Apparently, Britney has already made a major decision for her sons and it’s one that she’s willing to go to court over.

The issue is that Brit’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, wants to do a reality show. Of course he does. Doesn’t everybody? Especially when you’re a nobody who married and divorced a somebody and all your money is running out? The problem, besides the fact that Federline could make network TV, is that he wants to include their boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James, in the television show. Oh, that sounds like a good idea, doesn’t it? Did K-Fed ever stop to consider that Britney is a child star herself and that she might know a few things about how awful it is? Apparently, he didn’t. But, Britney sure as heck did and now, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to stop it from happening. From Contact Music,

I think even Britney haters realize that the only reason that Kevin has those children is because Britney took a ride on the crazy-train for a little while. It’s not because he’s some stellar parent and an upstanding role model. Wanting to put your children, who aren’t even 5 yet by the way, on television is just a bad, bad idea. Wanting to do it so that you can make money off of it though, is just such terrible parenting. I’m pretty sure that the only reason K-Fed wants to do a TV show at all is because he’s probably getting close to broke. And because no one really cares about Kevin Federline, he’s willing to use Britney’s children, because people might care about them just a little bit more.

I’m glad that Britney’s stopping it. And I think that it proves that she really does care about what’s best for her kids and has her head on straight enough that she can see to it that they get it.

Britney May Soon be Her Own Woman!

Well, hallelujah! Britney Spears may have an extra bounce in her booty as her dad, Jamie Spears has deemed that she might be all better and ready to take care of herself again! Gives a whole new meaning to her hit cover of My Perogative! I’m thrilled about this news and it could be as soon as before Christmas that Britney will take the reins of her own life back in her hands! What makes me even happier about it is that it’s a decision that seems to have been made by Jamie. It sort of renews my respect in him a little bit. The current order needs to stay in effect until the end of her tour but after that, it may just be a matter of one small court appearance! From the Daily Blabber,

So, I guess if this goes through as it sounds like it will, the next question will be custody. Will Brit try to get her boys back? Or will she try to stand on her own two feet without any help before making that major step? It’s hard to say and the judge may make a ruling on that as well. There’s going to be a lot that’s up in the air, I’d say and we definitely won’t know more until this tour’s done with. But, things are definitely moving in the right direction!

Is Britney Becoming a Jew?

When Britney Spears decides to do something, she really goes all out, doesn’t she? If she wants to spend more time with her kids, she locks herself in a bathroom with one of them. If she wants to get a haircut, she shaves her entire head. Now, she’s started dating her agent, Jason Trawick, and to prove her love, she’s going to become a Jew - just like him.

I don’t think this is a good idea. Just from past experience, when she’s totally given herself to someone, it didn’t work out so well. She let Sam Lufti have complete control over her life. Now she’s under her father’s conservatorship for god knows how long. She totally ‘fell completely in love’ with Adnan Ghalib and then was shocked when he started cheating on her. Now she has a restraining order against him. So, this latest move of hers has a rabbi following her around on tour to teach her the new religion and she wears a Star of David around her neck to prove that she’s ready to become a Jew. I really hope that someone tells her that becoming a Jew requires more than just sporting some new bling. From Gawker,

I am all for supporting your man. And I’m even all for changing your religion if you want to practice the same religion as your man. But I must preface this latter with saying that it’s probably only required if you’re going to get married or have children with the man. And you want those children to be raised in the same religion as well. But, these two have only been dating since the beginning of the year. I think they started going out in March but even if it was earlier than that, they’ve still haven’t been together for more than a year. I don’t think that within the first year is the best time to make major life-changing decisions on someone else’s belief system. I just think that this is a very dramatic move that Britney is making thinking that she’s supporting her man. When in fact, it’s just Britney being blinded by lust once again. If they break up, is she going to remain a Jew? And what about her children? Are they going to become Jews as well?

I don’t know if this latest move of Britney’s is going to work out or not but, I really think it will fall flat. Hopefully, the rabbi will clue her into the fact that becoming a Jew is a serious thing and that maybe, there are better reaasons for it than just your short-term boyfriend already being one.
