What is Going on With Katy Perry?

Katy Perry and Travis McCoy broke up, for the first time, in January. And Katy was so devastated by the split that she talked about it openly in her shows and talked about how much her heart was hurting. But not too soon after talking about her broken heart, there were rumors that Katy was making the rounds in Hollywood with her eye on some big names, such as Benji Madden, who at the time had recently split with Paris Hilton. Then Katy and Travis kissed and made up in April and everything seemed to be hunky-dory. And, we really haven’t heard too much about the couple since then. Or, did I miss something and they have broken up again?

That seems to be the case if this story regarding Katy and Russell Brand is true. Russell Brand is one of the most sought-after photographers in Hollywood, not to mention his budding acting career with parts in movies such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The story now goes that these two might have actually hooked up. So, what about Travis? Apparently he’s out of the picture as Katy and Russell spend some time in Paris and there are even rumors that Katy has sent Russell some naked photos of herself via text. And you would think that celebrities have learned their lesson about getting their hoo-hoos caught on tape! The first story, about the alleged texting, comes from Pop Crunch,

“It doesn’t take much to get Katy Perry out of her top. The “Waking Up In Vegas” star and notorious British womanizer Russell Brand have been inseparable since taking up with each other shortly after last month’s MTV Video Music Awards.
According to a snitching pal, Katy’s was so moved be a love poem Brand recently penned — or rather texted in her honor — so was compelled to get naked. Yeah, sappy love poems have that effect on us, too.

“It was cute…..And the best part is that Katy responded by sending him a topless photo of herself.”

Oh, Katy, I expected more of you! But the photo seems to have worked as now the two are cavorting around Paris and acting very lovey-dovey, holding hands and such. That story comes from People,

“Has notorious Lothario Russell Brand been tamed at last? Because, judging by his romantic getaway in the City of Lights with Katy Perry, the ladies man may have found his lady.

Brand, 34, has joined Perry, 25, at fashion shows and parties for Paris’ fashion week, taken eerie strolls at dusk around a famous cemetery and been spotted partaking in demure hand-holding.

“They arrived at John Galliano hand-in-hand,” one attendee tells PEOPLE. “They seem very much like the real thing.”

Contacted by PEOPLE Thursday about the burgeoning relationship, Brand’s rep had no comment. But British newspaper Web sites, like The Sun and Daily Mail, express no doubt that the couple are loved-up in the French capital.

Perry later wrote on Twitter of her time at the Galliano show at Halle Freyssinet, “Oh my, Galliano was by far the best. It was a dark sexy dream of beautiful mental sparkling women, I can relate to that, the mental part!”

Using his “Rusty Rockets” alias, Brand tweeted to his followers Wednesday: “I’m in ‘Gay Paris’ – I swear as an Englishman that by the time I leave tomorrow it’ll be known as ‘Hetero Paris.’ Or at least Bi Paris.’ X”

The break in Paris follows their reported weeklong break in Thailand together and, last weekend, they were spotted strolling in London. And on Saturday, Perry was spotted doing the walk of shame from Brand’s house in London.”

So it seems the stories probably are true and Katy Perry has probably broken up with Travis McCoy once and for all. I’ve never seen the attraction to Russell Brand. Britney Spears was also rumored to be with him at one point and I just don’t get it. He’s not hot, he’s not sexy, he’s not young, like these women are. I just don’t get it….

Katy and Travis have Kissed and Made Up

Lots of you seemed to be pretty upset when Katy Perry and Travis McCoy broke up in December due to fighting, which was due to not having any time to devote to each other. But just 4 months later it seems that they have decided to make the time to make it work so this should make the fans very happy. I’m sort of disappointed only because I was really hoping that Katy Perry would hook up with David Cook (which I called way before Seacrest did on the Top 40 this weekend btw.) But none of it is happening anyway because Katy and Travis seem to be happy only with each other. Does this mean we should start looking for Katy to be trying on weird-looking wedding dresses? Nope. Apparently they have learned some lessons during their time apart and are taking things slow. From Pop Crunch,

“The break-up sucked. We’re back together now — you’re the first person I’ve told that to. I keep thinking about if I had to go through it again and how shitty it would be,” Travis explained in an interview with The Sun this week.

The entertainers have decided to take their renewed relationship at a slower pace.

“We were moving way too fast. I was being juvenile about the entire thing. Now it’s easy breezy. I’m happy and in love.”

Travis added: “I’m just enjoying the way things are right now. I’m in no rush to get the ball and chain strapped to my legs.”

Well, if they’re happy, I’m happy. We’ll see if they can work their schedules out and keep the fighting to a minimum. I guess for the time-being we don’t have to worry about who Katy is or is not hooking up with either but I have to say as a side note, that she had plenty of rumors about her with some of Hollywood’s finest, including Josh Groban and Benji Madden, during the short time that she and Travis were apart.

Paris and Doug are World Travelers

One of the perks of being with Paris Hilton is that you get to travel around the world and Doug Reinhardt, Paris’ newest flavor, has certainly been following her like the puppy dog she thinks he is. The two have recently spent some time in Amsterdam and this pic was taken as they were leaving their London hotel to go to Heathrow Airport. This relationship really doesn’t hold much interest for me. At least when she was with Benji, Paris was a bit more interesting but now she’s with someone who seems to be just as plastic and boring as she is. Thanks to Pop Sugar for the pic and caption.

Paris’ New Boy Toy

Well if Paris was upset about the possible hookup between her former boy toy, Benji Madden, and Katy Perry, she’s drowning her sorrows with a new man, cutie-pie Doug Reinhardt. Back to pre-Benji standards, Doug is just as pretty as Paris needs him to be and although he does have a tiny bit of grit behind him as he is a professional baseball player that has played in the Major League, I just don’t think that’s enough.

Paris doesn’t do very well with pretty boys, no matter how much she may like them. Personally, I really think she needs someone more like Benji, who is sort of tough and might be able to reign her in some. More than that though, I think that she just needs someone interesting to keep her entertained. But what do I know? I wasn’t picked as her BFF.

Paris apparently wanted to keep this relationship on the down-low but it’s Paris and so, a few weeks was enough of people not talking about her and who her current new love is. The two also reportedly spent her 28th birthday at her home in Los Angeles, boozing and making out but the relationship is not being toted as ’serious’ just yet. And it’s Paris so it probably won’t ever be.

Paris is Pissed!

I was actually quite disappointed when Paris Hilton and Benji Madden broke up. I thought that he was really good for her and kept her somewhat tamed. Instead of seeing pics of Paris out boozing away, we saw more pics of her and her man and while, yes, they still always seemed to be out a club, she seemed somewhat more demure and dare I say, grown up? When they broke up, I fully expected to see Paris back out in full force and hitting all the hot spots while she went back to being her ridiculous self. And that’s just what we got. Not surprising seeing as how the reason for the split was supposedly that Benji doesn’t like drinking his face off every chance he gets. 

After they broke up  however, Benji was reportedly still pining after Paris and doing very stalker-like things such as calling her non-stop and begging for her back. BUT! Now there’s a new girl in town - a girl by the name of Katy Perry and she has recently been rumored to be mid-hookup with Benji after cozy pics of the two were taken on Valentine’s Day. While Katy has denied any chance of a coupling, Paris doesn’t buy it (neither do I!), and seeing Benji with someone else has apparently made her realize that sometimes, you don’t know what you have until it’s gone. Paris’ birthday, for those of you who missed the ground shaking, was on Tuesday and really, how rude of Benji and Katy to be canoodling just days before?!? Don’t they know that the world revolves around Paris and that her day is something to be revered? And not only her day but apparently, the whole damn week or probably, the whole damn month. I can’t believe that she, or anyone else, would bring her birthday into this. It just shows the kind of immature and spoiled people that we are dealing with.

I really wanted Paris and Benji to get back together after their split. I, like Benji, thought that he was a good match for her. But now that someone who is actually cool has decided that they might want to be on Benji’s arm, I’m starting to think that he has better options. Hopefully he realizes the same thing and stays as far away as he can from his old trash-bag.

Katy Perry Blows Hot and then Cold on Benji

Just days ago it was reported that Katy Perry made a huge hookup on the most romantic day of the year with Benji Madden, who apparently was done nursing his Paris wounds. After magazines, newspapers, and blogs were ablaze with the news of the new hookup, Perry took to her own blog to set the record straight. Normally, I would take the woman at her word but this pic of them at the party they were seen at shows nothing of two people boozing it up at a party and shows a couple that clearly want to get to know each other better. Here’s what Katy had to say, from US, 

“It’s two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other…doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies! You know, I don’t just do that with anyone!” the “I Kissed a Girl” singer blogged earlier this week.
She continued: “I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy valentines with all my good friends. We were, like, a group of 25! Benji is a nice, young fellow, but my heart really belongs to kitty purry/markus molinari.”

Perry — who took a vow of celibacy after splitting from Travis McCoy last month — wrote that she’s currently in Monaco, France.”

I’m just not buying this denial of hers. I can see why Perry would want to keep things on the down-low if they really are starting to date. They’re both two pretty high-profile people, although unfortunately Benji’s becoming more known for who he’s dating rather than his actual career. I hope the thousand words that this picture is saying are true and that this is a hot romance headed for something that we can continue to blog about for some time.

Hookup: Benji Madden and Katy Perry

Last we heard from Katy Perry she was kissing girls while she liked it and last we heard from Benji Madden, he was still pining away for Paris. But it seems as though Benji is dialing someone else’s digits these days and Katy has stepped away from her lesbian tendencies - at least for the time being. This rumor does seem to be one that has a ring of truth to it. I hope it’s true anyway. I’d love to see Benji get over that blonde bimbo and I think Katy is a great person to do that with. These two also fit much better than Benji did with his former other-half. Perry’s a lot more rocker-chic than Paris ever will be - although she tried, God love her. I think it’s a step up for Benji too. Instead of dating someone who is famous for being pretty and sociable, he’s going to date someone who’s famous for actually having talent. This could definitely turn out good.

Benji’s got it Bad!

Benji Madden has got it bad for his ex, Paris Hilton. He has apparently lost eyes for all other women, no matter how many gorgeous brods Nicole Richie and Joel, his brother, bring his way. Not only that but Benji is making grand gestures of love to Paris - all in efforts to get her back. The type of gestures I’m talking about here are your usual stalker tactics - flowers, calling incessantly. And now, Paris has had enough! From Pop Crunch,

His persistent whining about lost love forced Nicole and Joel to sit Benji down recently for a chat that they hope will prompt the musician to move past Paris.

“Joel and Nicole finally had to sit Benji down and show him some tough love by telling him they don’t want to hear it anymore.”

Well now, aren’t we just all so supportive? That’s not tough love, that’s just mean! I know it’s Paris and God only knows why Benji is so smitten by her but really, these two were very much in love and he is clearly heartbroken. It’s surprising because I really thought that she would be the one swooning after him but apparently not so much the case. He should be given more than two months healing time and whore after whore thrown his way before he’s told to stuff a sock in it. For real though, if Paris isn’t digging it, he’s got to back off. That’s just annoying.

Nicole and Joel are Getting Married

So is she doing this just to stick it to Paris? Yes, my belief is that Nicole Richie has known for quite some time now that she planned to marry Joel Madden, who in addition to being Richie’s long-time boyfriend and father of their daughter Harlow, is also the brother of Benji Madden, who just recently experienced a heart-wrenching breakup from Ms. Paris Hilton. I think Richie, in her evil and plotting ways, specifically waited for her ex-BFF and soon to be brother-in-law to smash to pieces before announcing the news that she was oh, so happy. Of course, that’s not the tale she is telling.

No, the recent announcement comes at a perfect time for Nicole and Joel because little Harlow’s birthday is in February and that is the perfect time to make it all about them and not actually their baby girl. From Celebrity Dirty Laundry,

“Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are said to get married on their daughter Harlow’s first birthday. The couple, who have been dating for two years, are keen to tie the knot on the landmark date to show their child how much they love each other. Okay, so what example is this setting exactly? I get that you want your kid to know that you and her dad love each other but there’s no need for this celebration to happen on her birthday. Now every year for the rest of her life, she gets to think about her parents and how selfish they are that they needed to have their wedding anniversary on her birthday. I don’t blame that kid one bit and it’s not hard to see where that resentment will come from. Nicole seemed to have been doing a complete 360 since she became preggers with little Harlow but this just proves that she’s still the same spoiled rotten, self centered, little Hollywood socialite that she’s always been.

Paris and Benji are Finished!

It seems that we get to follow the many loves of Paris Hilton once again as she has broken up with her most current boyfriend-turned-ex, Benji Madden. I guess the Good Charlotte bandmember was just too controlling for dear Paris. I guess it wouldn’t take much, since she’s probably never been given any boundaries of any kind in her whole entire life. From FOXNews,

“The hotel heiress hasn’t been seen with the “Good Charlotte” rocker for over a week, and both have been hitting up Hollywood hotspots separately, sparking speculation that they’d entered splitsville. A source close to the couple told Tarts that the star-studded duo is pretty much kaput.

So went wrong between the joined-at-the-lip twosome? It seems that Hilton and Madden recently sealed a rumored six-figure deal to swing by Australia on New Year’s Eve to attend the launch party for a new social online networking system, Bongo Virus. Paris is booked to be the host of the bash, while Benji is set to do the spinning.

According to an insider associated with the Australian company, Prince William may have had plans to meet up with Paris to ring in the New Year, having spent quite some time with her while she’s been filming her “My BFF” show in London.”

Benji supposedly took the split pretty hard, begging Paris for another chance but how can one compete with a prince? There have been rumors floating around that Paris and Prince William had been becoming quite good friends and it’s very possible that she has her eyes on royalty but I think it would take a bit more to break this couple up than just a good looking guy who also has a silver spoon in his mouth. I have to say that I loved Benji and Paris together and the relationship really did seem to make Paris a better person in that she seemed to have gotten out of the downward spiral that her life was taking, what with the drunk driving and all. But if this Prince William thing is going to actually happen, she’s gotta know that the Royal Family won’t stand for that kind of behavior either. Can you imagine if all three of them end up at the New Years’ bash in Australia? AWKWARD!
