First Pic of Baby Bronx!

Staying true to the way these two have always led their personal lives, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz took to their blog over the holidays to not only send season’s greetings to their fans but to also debut the first pics of their newborn son, Bronx Mowgli. This picture along with the following message was posted on the blog (from Bump Shack),

This is one of those things that this couple is famous for doing that really makes you want to like them. And then Pete opens his mouth and it all changes all over again. You can’t get a really good look at Bronx in this pic but he’s a newborn and they all really do look pretty much the same. I do though, love the look on Ashlee’s face, very sweet.

Say It Isn’t So!

It must be difficult to not only be a celebrity but to be a celebrity and also have your sibling be a celebrity must make for one messed up relationship. When Ashlee Simpson first exploded onto the music scene, it seemed as though she was determined to prove that she was nothing like her older sis, Jessica Simpson. She died her hair jet-black and sang songs that were much different than the love ballads her sis was belting out. But now the rumor tables have turned and it’s being said that it’s actually Jess that now wants to be like Ash. In the way that she would also like to get married and have babies. Of course, Jessica and Tony Romo, her serious boyfriend have had their fair share of pregnancy rumors to deal with but the fact that this one is questioning whether Jessica is pregnant but just saying that she wants to be very soon, has me worried that this could in fact, be true. The ‘The Little Drummer Boy’ hitmaker wants to tie the knot and have a baby - just like little sister Ashlee Simpson.
“Jessica recently sat Tony down for a baby talk. Unlike Ashlee, Jessica doesn’t want to get pregnant and then get married. She’s a little more traditional, so she’d like to marry Tony first and then get pregnant, ideally on their honeymoon,” a pal of Jessica’s told Touch Weekly magazine.
“She wants to get engaged in early 2009, married in Texas in the summer and get pregnant soon after,” the pal added.
It has also been reported that Jessica is certain that Tony would propose her over Christmas, reports China Daily.”

It’s never a good idea to get your hopes up about something so huge but it is Jessica Simpson that we’re talking about. This whole pretty picture that she seems to have in her head does seem naive and idiotic but again, it’s Jessica Simpson that we’re talking about. I predict that she will not get engaged over the holidays and that she does not get pregnant any time soon. But that may just be my own wishful thinking. I’m really hoping that Jessica Simpson doesn’t produce spawn. Ever.

I don’t at all like Ashlee Simpson or Pete Wentz but I have to admit, no matter how weird or annoying I think they are, it’s clear that there is something very special about these two and that they are in fact, very much in love. Daily Blabber recently had pieces of an interview that the two had done with E! and there was definitely a lot to talk about now that they are starting to talk about new Baby Bronx. In the interview Pete starts off by being the annoying juvenile that I normally think he is but then he opens up about his new wife, Ashlee and even I have to admit, I can’t help but thinking, ‘aawwww….’ From Daily Blabber,

“New dad Pete Wentz has been gushing about his wife, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, and all the things about her that he just adores — you know, like her bod.

“I would start with the breasts,” the Fall Out Boy rocker told E!’s Daily 10, about his wife’s best feature.

But, after the typical guy answer, Pete got all mushy about Ash.

“Ashlee is the kind of person that understands me in a way that other human beings don’t understand each other,” he said. “I would say that we fit together kind of like Lego pieces, and that’s how we’re able to communicate.”

“She’s always there for me, she always has my back no matter what,” the guitarist revealed. “If I have to leave at 6 a.m. to go somewhere, she’s packing my bag for me. I’m like, ‘What are you doing up at 6 a.m.?’ and she’s packing my bag.”

I think part of what I like most about this story is that it shows that these two do normal married things, like think about what the other needs while they’ll be traveling. Yeah, these two might just make me like them after all. But it would really help if Pete got a better fashion sense.

Ashlee and Pete FINALLY Had Their Baby!

The news came in early this morning that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz had a beautiful and healthy baby boy late Thursday night. And isn’t it about time? From US,

“Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz have welcomed their first child, a boy.

Bronx Mowgli Wentz - who weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz, and was 20.5 inches long - was born Thursday night, a spokesperson for the couple confirms to Usmagazine.com.

“Proud new parents Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz welcomed new son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz, late this evening,” the rep tells Us. “Ashlee, Pete and baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!”

Maybe Jess thought that Ashlee sent her unborn child to time-out or told little Baby Bronx to clean up her uterus. Well, I guess now we’ll wait to see who gets the rights to the first baby pictures but knowing the vintage/hippie/rocker types these two are, we’ll most likely see them up on their blog or MySpace page!

Ashlee Simpson’s Baby Watch

Ashlee Simpson has got to be overdue with that baby she’s been carrying around for 9+ months. Like, way, way overdue. This pregnancy just seems to be going on forever! There was talk that Ashlee was going to be induced but that doesn’t seem to be the case as Pete Wentz, her dear husband, recently missed a gig at MTV to be with his preggers wife. Well I guess so! She’s so big now that she probably can’t even make it out of bed! The Gossip Girls caught up with him as he left her for a moment to go catch up on some shopping and they also had words from his bandmate, who was at the MTV event and talked about missing his bandmate. From the Gossip Girls,

“At the MTV Total Finale Live shindig this past Sunday (which Pete missed to be with Simpson) Fall Out Boy vocalist/guitarist Patrick Stump told press, “I’m not spilling anything. As far as I know, there’s no baby yet. But still, there’s a very pregnant woman, so he definitely needs to be there. It was a mutual thing, though I miss the crud out of him. I wish he were here.”

Okay, so I understand that it would suck to not have your whole band present but really, what kind of guy talks about ‘missing the crud’ out of another guy? That’s just weird to me. What’s even weirder though is Pete’s look. I really wish he would ditch the skinny jeans because they just look absurd on him and he just in general has very, very bad fashion sense. And the stone-wash or acid-wash or whatever that is, is NOT back in style…someone should clue him in. I guess that’s what he and Ashlee initially bonded over as she aslo usually trots around in some particularly awful wardrobe choices. Hopefully Ashlee will hurry up and have that baby so that we can stop talking about these two!

Ashlee Simpson is Ready to Pop!

Even though Ash Wentzday sort of bother me, I can’t help but appreciate how this young couple has kept a low profile after their wedding, and after announcing the news that they were expecting. I have to admit, I totally thought that these two were going to exploit the crap out of the situation but they have indeed proved me wrong!

And here we are about six months later and Ashlee Simpson looks due to give birth any day now! Of course the family is beside themselves with excitement and her dad can’t help but boast about how proud he is of his little girl. Aw! From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“Joe Simpson says his while daughter Ashley may only be 24, finding out she was pregnant turned her into a full-fledged grown up!

“The day she found out she was pregnant, she became a woman,” Joe Simpson tells PEOPLE. “She’s concerned about what she eats and how she prepares for the child and [details like], is the baby’s room ‘green’ enough?” he explains. “It’s a transformation you never expect as a parent – you pray for it, but never expect it. She’s ready for this baby!”

I even like Ashlee’s style a little better these days. She’s still the kind of hippie/vintage chick that she wants to be but like her dad says, it does seem to be in a bit of a more sophisticated manner. I guess my next question is, ‘Why’s she with that idiot?’ Oh, that’s not nice, shame on me!

Pete Wentz is an Idiot!!

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson really bother me. It’s not Ashlee so much as it is her dumbo husband, Pete Wentz. Here are two people who are clearly too young to be married never mind parents! I know they’re in their mid 20s and while that may be plenty old enough for some people, these two just keep proving how truly stupid they are. Not only do they lie to their fans, and spend hours blogging meaninglessly but now Pete is beginning to reveal all the stupid stuff that he did when he was even younger. From Celebitchy,

“PETE Wentz once played a scary game of Russian roulette while in a booze-and-pill stupor. “I pulled a trigger on a gun aimed at myself,” the Fall Out Boy star and hubby of Ashlee Simpson confesses in next month’s Playboy. “My friend and I did one pull each. We’d been drinking and had taken Ambien. I feel stupid even talking about it. It’s one of the reasons I’ve never owned a gun - I’m too impulsive. I’d probably get mad and shoot someone over a part in a song or something.”

Now, what kids do is what kids do. But what you talk about publicly when you’re an adult and have a child on the way is your responsibility and Pete really should know better than saying stupid crap like this. It seems that he actually does as he admits that he feels stupid even talking about it now. But he goes on anyhow. I can’t wait to see what other stupid things Pete has in store for this pregnancy. He’s also recently said that he wants to take the infant (yes that’s right, I said infant) on tour (yes that’s right, I said tour) with him and his band. That sounds like it will turn out just swell.

Ashlee may be Eating for Three!

Everything becomes a trend in Hollywood and the case is no different when it comes to having babies. First everyone gets pregnant together and now they’re all having twins together. Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Lopez, and of course the Brangelina’s are just a few of the stars that have recently had twins join the family and now it appears as though Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson are about to join the twin baby train. From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“According to Pete Wentz’s pal Tyga, the singer and wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting twins later this year.
“They’re having twins,” Tyga said in an exclusive interview yesterday at the House of Hype’s pre-VMA barbeque. “They’re really happy.”
In June, Pete referred to the baby as “them” but quickly disputed that they were having twins, stating,
“That was waaaaay wrong. I meant to say ‘the baby’ and said ‘them’ ’cause it was 7 a.m. Not in a BS way: I can tell you we are absolutely not having twins. I totally misspoke ’cause we dunno if it’s a boy or girl. I try to speak vaguely, and I totally blew it on this one.”
A rep for the couple insists only one baby is on the way, though,
“It is not true.

Now this story I am tempted to believe. The anti-Pete Wentz one that is. I’m sorry but isn’t this the same dude that completely denied the whole pregnancy until it was too far into it to hide anymore? I’m not saying he didn’t have good reason but I can’t trust him anymore. And he may have had a good reason for denying the pregnancy in the early stages but he didn’t just deny it, he was absolutely outraged by it, yelling about how he didn’t know why people had to make crap up and such. And now he’s saying that he mispoke because he was tired. Puh-leaze. What bothers me about this couple is that they claim to be so loyal to their fans but they can’t just be straight with them about things. And really, why lie about twins? That is just BS.

Ashlee and Pete’s Baby Confirmed!

I think I may be starting to understand Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz a little better and that’s a scary thought. By way of their blog (how else would a modern couple do it?) they have announced that Ashlee is in fact pregnant. From Daily Blabber, this is what appeared on the blog,

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.”

So now I understand why they waited to tell people and - DUH - on me for not even thinking that they may want to wait the standard amount of time before blabbing their big news. So okay, I don’t think that they are total neurotics who would use anything as a publicity stunt. Well, not in this case of theirs anyway.

Ashlee and Pete Tie the Knot!

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz finally got married on Saturday, May 17. Although the couple did not have a long engagement, it seems as though the hype surrounding their wedding and their first expected child has been going on forever.

“Approximately 150 guests gathered beneath white tents erected on the Simpson property to witness the nondenominational ceremony which was officiated by Joe Simpson himself. Guests included Nicole Richie, who wore a long flowing purple dress, and Joel Madden. Inside the tents the decor was goth rocker: black rugs, white couches with red pillows, black chandeliers and lots of red roses.

The four months pregnant bride wore a Monique Lhuillier dress and a diamond necklace with matching earrings. Wentz wore a Dior Homme tuxedo.

At the request of the couple, all of the guests wore dark colors, such as blue, black or grey.

Big sis and maid of honor Jessica Simpson brought Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo Tony Romo as her date amidst a week of breakup reports. On Friday, a source told Us that “Joe called Tony and asked him to show support for the wedding.”

Romo arrived at the house hours ahead of time along with family members and close friends.”

I am glad that these two are finally married and all of the speculation regarding what’s in Ashlee’s belly will stop. It’s also nice to see that the couple stayed true to their own characters by going with the less-than-traditional goth theme. Hopefully these two will be able to make it in the crazy hook up and break up land of Hollywood.
