Is Derek Jeter Getting Married?

I’m not a big baseball fan. I have to admit, before Alex Rodriguez started dating Madonna, I only vaguely knew who he was. But I definitely didn’t know what he team he played for, and I still couldn’t tell you what position he plays. The same goes for Derek Jeter, but even more so. I had no clue who he was, the name rung absolutely no bells. So the fact that he had gotten engaged didn’t even faze me, let alone shake my world. But apparently, it shook the worlds of many.

Derek Jeter apparently, is this huge ladies man, let alone being the Captain of the New York Yankees, and some kind of superstar in that area too. But the news that he had finally decided to settle down with one woman, after being notorious for sleeping around, was big news to some. I wasn’t interested until I heard that Derek Jeter may not actually be engaged, let alone planning a wedding in the near future. Then I became very interested. Even though it may not be to me, that’s big news to muck up. Here People has a rundown of the debate as to whether or not Derek Jeter is engaged,

“Somehow it’s hard to picture: Derek Jeter picking out place settings and flower arrangements in between chasing another World Series title.

But that’s the word from his hometown paper, the New York Post, which reports the Big Apple’s most eligible bachelor for a long time is finally going to settle down with a November 5 wedding to Minka Kelly.

Never mind that the pair haven’t even confirmed they’re engaged, or that the run-up to baseball’s Fall Classic may cut into the Yankee star’s wedding-planning commitments: the ceremony is supposedly scheduled for two days after the end of the World Series. Not to mention, the Yankees still have to make it to the Series for the scheduling conflict to be an issue.

Their reps so far have not commented, and the news reports that have come since conflict. An NBC Sports blog thinks the wedding is for Jeter’s sister, not him, while Sports Illustrated reports that not only is the wedding true, but they’ve known about it for weeks.”

Usually a story that says the reps aren’t talking tells me that the story is true. And it’s hard to say because all of these sources are reputable enough to believe. But, there’s just something about this that just doesn’t ring true to me. Why would Jeter plan a wedding just days after the ending of the World Series? And, the couple hasn’t even confirmed that they’re engaged so, how did we jump to a wedding later this year? So, Derek Jeter probably isn’t engaged? Or maybe he is but the media has gotten the date wrong? Who knows at this point but I’m starting to feel sorry that I got involved in the first place.

Kate Hooks Up with Madonna After Breaking up with A-Rod

It was earlier this week when it was announced that Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez had split up. Reports are still varying as to who split with who, whether or not the two are still on friendly terms, or if there is a chance of them getting back together. So far it seems that anything and everything is up in the air with this one. But one thing that’s known for sure is that Kate Hudson has found a comforting shoulder in this difficult time (and we all knew she would, didn’t we?) That someone though is not the arms of another man, it’s the bony and cold shoulder of Madonna, who had split with the baseball star just before he hooked up with Kate. And there were actually rumors before A-Rod and Madonna split that he and Kate were seen heavily flirting with each other at a big celeb party. So perhaps now Kate and Madonna are just trying to get the story straight? That could be the case. It seems there’s a lot to get straight on this one. From Hindustan Times,

“Kate Hudson, heart-broken by her break-up with Alex Rodriguez, has found a sympathiser in Madonna. The singer was spotted comforting the actress at the premier of her flick Nine in New York.

“When the cameras were on Kate she was all smiles. But privately you could tell she has had her heart broken,” the New York Post quoted a witness, as saying.

Gossip has it that the New York Yankee dumped Hudson because he felt she was hogging all the public attention.

Goldie Hawn, Hudson’s mum also flew in to support her. The mother-daughter duo drank dirty martinis at M2 “and hung out all night,” according to an insider.

The source said: “It was her big premiere, and she was upset Alex wasn”t there to support her.”

Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind, which became a Yankees anthem during the World Series victory, aggrieved Hudson even more.

The source said: “When the song was played at the after-party, Kate looked at her mom and did a fake scream.” However, one of Hudson’s friends says the relationship is not yet over.

The pal said: “They had a huge fight in London at the premiere of Nine, and Alex flew to Miami to hang out with his friends. But in the last few days he and Kate have started speaking again on the phone. She hopes they can work things out. But they are both very stubborn.”

So do you think that Kate and A-Rod will get back together? It wouldn’t surprise me. Kate is infamous for recycling her ex’s. And the Yankee fans might do their part on pushing the two back together as well. Word has it that they’re hoping that they’ll see Kate back next year to take them through another series. Unfortunately, because another reason given for the split was that Kate just wanted camera-time at her boyfriend’s games, one of the negotiating factors in any reunion just might be that Kate can still cheer on the Yankees….from home in front of her television.

Kate and A-Rod are Not Engaged, So They Say

I didn’t even know that Kate Hudson went wandering around sporting a diamond ring on her left hand until the reports that she was engaged were denied. Of course, whenever a female celeb walks around wearing a band around their left finger, people automatically assume that she’s been engaged. And for good reason. But the reports are coming now that Kate is not engaged…but they don’t come from Kate. Instead they come from Kate’s boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. The two have been dating for just under a year which is mega-long in Hollywood terms. But it seems that if Kate wants to make that diamond official, she may just have to wait a little bit longer. It would really surprise me if these two were engaged already. It took them so long to even go public with their relationship, I just don’t think they’re ready for that step. And I hope not. I love Kate Hudson but I find A-Rod to be a bit boring (and not all that nice to look at either.) I think Kate can do better. And I think that if we give this relationship just a little more time, she just might.

Hudson Goes Public with A-Rod

It’s no secret that Kate Hudson has been trying to keep her relationship with Alex Rodriguez a secret ever since they started dating a few months ago. But, this headline still confuses me. Apparently over this past weekend, Kate Hudson went to support her man at the annual New York Yankees picnic and they had a pretty passionate kiss-fest while paparazzi and reporters were all too happy to watch and snap away with their cameras. What confuses me about this story is that I can’t find any pictures that were supposedly snapped. Who’s hanging on to the goods? From Contact Music,

I understand Kate’s hesitation to take any relationship public. She takes a severe beating in the media when it comes to her love life and how she recycles past boyfriends, over and over again. But this thing with A-Rod has been going on for awhile now and it may be time to come out of the “I’m dating a huge baseball star” closet. I also really want to see those pictures!

A Check-In on A-Rod and Kate

It’s been awhile since we checked in on Kate Hudson and her newest beau, Alex Rodriguez. But the two were seen enjoying some couple time together in Newport Beach, California this past weekend. Apparently, the two had a quiet dinner together before Alex went to play MLB the next day and Kate played mommy to her son, Ryder. What can you say about these two? They seem to be quite wonderful together and somehow - somehow - Kate has managed to keep this relationship somewhat under wraps. Even though we all know they’re together, they still manage to stay away from the headlines and even on this weekend getaway, there were no shots taken of the couple together. Bravo, Kate! An Update on the Weirdest Love Triangle Ever

Okay, maybe not the weirdest ever. I think that title will always go to the Moore/Kushton/Willis bunch but this one’s pretty screwed up too. Kate Hudson has dated just about everybody in Hollywood, as has Madonna. Madonna started seeing Alex Rodriguez while she was still married to Guy Ritchie. Then Kate Hudson expressed interest in Rodriguez while he was still seeing Madonna. Madonna has since moved on and is now seeing someone who really has nothing to do with the triangle and Kate and A-Rod are now perfectly happy. Confused? Welcome to Hollywood. 

Well Kate and A-Rod are perfectly happy and, unlike so many other of Kate’s fleeting relationships, this one seems to be ’something serious.’ However ’something serious’ seems to only constitute introducing each other to friends, traveling together, and staying in the same hotel…where *gasp* they also worked out together. I’m sorry, don’t two people who are sleeping together usually stay in the same hotel? It seems only common sense to me. From the Daily Blabber,

“After spending some time together last month in NYC, sources say that Kate Hudson and Yankee Alex Rodriguez are not just a flash in the pan.

“It’s somewhat serious,” an insider told People.com. “He introduced her to a bunch of his friends.”

Kate’s even gone on the road with him! She took son Ryder to Dallas for the Yankees’ three-game stint against the Rangers last month. They stayed in the same hotel as A-Rod, where the new couple “worked out together in the fitness center.”

For one of the games, a source said, Kate “stayed behind and watched the game from the hotel,” but sent Ryder to the stadium with a nanny. “She remarked several times about what a big baseball fan she is!”

Not that I doubt the two are serious but, I don’t think that you can go on these things alone. She said she was a huge baseball fan and so she’s in love? I don’t see how that works. I’m not buying this story and even if it’s true, I don’t know why it’s so news-worthy. Maybe just because it’s Kate Hudson and so hard to believe?

Didn’t This Happen Last Year?

Kate, Kate, Kate. It seems that Kate Hudson can never venture into new waters as far as men are concerned as she’s famous for recycling her lovers such as her infamous on-again/off-again fling with Owen Wilson. Well it seems that union, which was recently reported to have been rekindled in February, has once again fizzled out and Kate has turned her attention back to Alex Rodriguez, a man who was once known for his incredible athletic talent and who is now more known for his love life. A-Rod of course, was at the center of things when Madonna was getting divorced from Guy Ritchie and A-Rod also separated from his wife after she divorced him for his relations with Madonna. 

During the midst of all this, Kate Hudson was seen with A-Rod at a Miami party in November where she was seen flirting and trying to supposedly canoodle him. Although at the time it didn’t seem to turn into too much, Kate has reportedly once again gone into her little black book of past men and found A-Rod’s number. But this time, A-Rod, without controlling Madge at his side, has reciprocated and the two were supposedly all over each other in the back of a restaurant. Hmm..to be believed? From Star,

“It seems that Kate Hudson has been enjoying Madonna’s leftovers.
The actress, who has a reputation for being a bit of a maneater (Owen Wilson, Lance Armstrong, Dax Shepherd are her more recent conquests), was seen making out with Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez on Friday, reports Page Six.

Kate, who has a son with ex-hubby Chris Robinson, was seen in the stands at Yankee Stadium on Friday night. But the real game took place later at Manhattan’s Mustang Grill. The gossip column reports that a bartender “was asking patrons not to go in the back room around 1 a.m. because A-Rod and Kate Hudson were back there making out.” Another source said that the two were also seen outside A-Rod’s apartment building.”

Now the fact that Kate Hudson was seen (or heard) making out with A-Rod would come as no surprise to me. But the fact that it wasn’t even seen by anyone and that it happened in the back of a restaurant is just too sleazy and I can’t imagine that either of these two uber-famous people, who could go anywhere they wanted, would actually choose this as their romantic interlude locale. That being said, they were still seen together at the game and have been linked romantically in the past so I’m not laying this rumor completely to rest just yet…

Well We Knew it was Going to Happen, Didn’t We?

Of course being with Jesus Luz made Madonna look like a pathetic cougar who had absolutely no moral standards whatsoever. Not only because she’s old enough to be his mature mother but also because she was shacking up with him just months after her divorce. Not to mention that all of this was coming off the heels of her affair with A-Rod, which left a marriage in pieces. So one the good thing that Madonna could do to make her look like the angelic, saintly parent that she wanted to make herself out to be to the Malawian government, was to dump Jesus the boy-toy and wrap Mercy up in her loving arms. 

Well none of what she did to try and make amends for her disgusting behavior seemed to have worked because all of her plans for adopting Mercy went straight down the toilet. So now she’s decided to stop putting on pretenses for just a second and continue to get jiggy with it with Jesus. But not before, of course, he takes a dip in holy Kabbalah water to cleanse himself of whatever impurities he contracted in her absence. I really don’t think this news is going to shock anyone. Even when she was with A-Rod she sort of seemed to blow hot and cold on him. People in Madge’s world just need to get used to the fact that they are completely disposable, but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t wait until she’s ready to pick them back up and start playing with them again.

Kate and Owen: Reunited!

That sound you hear is me squealing in delight as one of my favorite Hollywood couples have found their way back to each other once again! Yep, forget Madonna’s sloppy A-Rod seconds and forget handsome golfer-boy Adam Scott. There’s really only one true love for Kate Hudson and that is of course, Owen Wilson. It was just announced that these two, who are famous for their tumultuous relationship, are officially giving it another go and hopefully this time, it will be something a little more lasting than they’ve been known for in the past. From MSNBC,

“Hollywood’s on-again, off-again couple — Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson — are on yet again.

“They’re back together,” a source tells PEOPLE of the pair, who spent all of Sunday together at Wilson’s Malibu home. Also there: Hudson’s 5-year-old son Ryder.

Hudson, 29, and Wilson, 40, were most recently linked in Feb. 2008, where they appeared cozy at the Academy Awards last year. The two continued to hang out for several months — even celebrating Hudson’s birthday in Miami — before breaking up again in May 2008.

“It was a pretty bad breakup,” a friend of Wilson’s told PEOPLE at the time. “Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn’t want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him.”

I sort of don’t want to get too excited over this one seeing as how these two are fairly notorious for hooking up and then calling it quits. But the fact that Owen was so heartbroken over the split in the first place really makes me think that he wouldn’t get back into it unless they had both decided that this time it was for the long haul. I can only hope so anyway. This is one relationship that is heartbreaking for me to watch, as I so badly want these two to end up happily ever after married and with beautiful, golden-haired children. My own little fantasy but for now, it seems as though we may be well on our way.

Who is Kate Hudson Dating?

 Kate Hudson has been a very busy girl lately, promoting her new movie with Anne Hathaway, Bride Wars, as well as always talking about her life, her loves, and everything else that we want to know, to just about any magazine that will listen. She has been quoted as having talked about everything from ‘vowing’ to pose nude more often as well as how she intends to ’stay single for as long as possible,’ which she told InStyle just last month. Apparently, it has already been long enough as Kate has recently sparked many dating rumors….but not with just one lucky man, but two! And not just anybody’s or nobody’s either…well, one is an Australian golfer who is probably not very well-known but the other is Madonna’s latest capture, Alex Rodriguez! 

Kate first got people talking about this scandalous hookup in November when they both attended some la-tee-da event in Miami and when that seemed to fizzle out as just another ridiculous rumor, it was then that she was seen out on the beaches of Maui with the golfer, Adam Scott. While it was reported that they were ‘canoodling’ the only photos show them, while close, not even really in contact with each other. Is this a new hookup or just Kate being her flirty self?

Hard to say when it was reported on the very same day by Pop Crunch that Kate was  seen out with Alex Rodriguez in New York. From Pop Crunch,

“Kate prompted rumors of a budding new romance with Rodriguez after she was spotted leaving Lure Fishbar in Manhattan on Saturday with the third baseman in tow.

According to the NY Post, Kate and Alex were then spotted in a New York City bar together later that night, where they met up with buddy Ron Burkle.

Not true, says Kate’s publicist, who insist the actress and the recently divorced Alex are friend who were simply out as part of “a group of 10 people.”

So what’s up with Kate and who is she dating? I’m betting on Adam Scott and that she and A-Rod really are just friends. I don’t even think Madonna’s finished yet sucking out his soul so the chance of him being willing to even look at someone else without fear of severe punishment, seems like a very small chance to me. But I do love how Kate plays it up a little bit, especially since it must just leaving Madge steaming-mad.
