Cameron Diaz and A-Rod are Still Going Strong

Even though you’d never know it. Cameron Diaz and A-Rod are both keeping pretty hush-hush about their relationship, even when they’re at a Yankees party with all the players and their wives. That’s where they were just recently but, Cameron and A-Rod stayed on separate sides of the room, while Cameron chatted up the wives and hung out with them for most of the night. Not surprisingly, this scored huge points with said wives, and because of it and the fact that Diaz isn’t attention-seeking like A-Rod’s ex, Kate Hudson, the wives sound as though they’re giving her the stamp of approval. “CAMERON DIAZ kept her distance from her rumoured boyfriend ALEX RODRIGUEZ at a birthday bash on Sunday (18Jul10) – by spending the whole night mixing with the wives of his New York Yankees team-mates.

The actress has gone to great lengths to keep her reported romance with the sports ace out of the public domain, but recently referenced their relationship in a magazine interview, saying, “I grew up with the (Los Angeles) Dodgers, but now I’m a Yankees fan.”

And the pair kept a low profile at a party for baseball player CC Sabathia’s 30th birthday in New York – Diaz arrived separately from Rodriguez and they spent most of the evening apart, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix.

The publication reports the Charlie’s Angels star was a huge hit with his team-mates’ partners – because she didn’t attract attention like his previous Hollywood girlfriend Kate Hudson.

An insider tells the publication, “Cameron doesn’t cling to A-Rod like Kate Hudson, whose front row antics didn’t go down well with the wives. Cameron kept it low-key and hung with the girls. She and Alex stayed on opposite sides of the room but they kept glancing and smiling. He didn’t look at another girl.”

So, if Cameron is making sly comments about how much she loves Rodriguez’s baseball team, could this mean that the two are planning on going public with their relationship sometime soon? While the wives may not appreciate that so much, I certainly would. I’ve never thought too much of Alex Rodriguez, mostly because I don’t watch baseball and I think he’s ugly. But, I do love Cameron Diaz, and I think that she’s pretty enough to make them a cute couple all on her own.

And seriously, what’s with all the hate on Kate Hudson? We didn’t see that much of her when she was with A-Rod, although certainly more than we’re seeing Cameron. And the Yankee fans loved her, thinking that she was bringing good luck to the team! I guess the wives had a different opinion.

No Big Wedding for Cameron Diaz

No, the wedding rumors haven’t started just yet about Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, but if these two ever do decide to tie the knot, it won’t be a huge, grand affair of any kind. Not if Cameron has anything to say about it, at least. With the soon to be released movie, Shrek Forever After, Diaz is busy promoting and she recently sat down with Parade magazine to talk about her attachment to her character, Fiona, and how much she can relate to her. She also talks about her own life, romance, and how a big wedding will never be in her plans. From Parade,

“I believe in happily ever after. I didn’t get it from a book; a princess didn’t act it out for me. But I definitely have a happily ever after. Somebody asked me, ‘How come you’re always so smiley?’ I’m like, ‘Duh, because I’m grateful for everything that I have.’ I’m in love with life. It puts a smile on my face and in my heart,” Diaz says.

Cameron Diaz got a kick out of making Fiona even more feisty in Shrek Forever After, which marks the conclusion of the hugely successful animated fairy tale. The green ogress, who’s raising a family with her giant hubby, is facing a struggle to keep her marriage together, but she hasn’t lost her own identity. For Diaz, that’s what is important in life.

Cameron says, “Fiona has always been about ‘this is who I am, and I’m not going to change’ ever since becoming her true Ogre self. I connected with that spirit from the very beginning because I think that’s the way to live. I’ve definitely always been strong-willed. You have to believe in yourself.”

When it comes to the opposite sex.
“I think that the rules in relationships are: no tricks, honesty, communication, treat people the way you want to be treated, unconditional love. Those are the things that I think are important. But, you know, rules are made to be broken.”

Not worried about finding long-term love.
“I am a romantic. I love romance. I’m not afraid of commitment. I commit to everything I’m doing and I am hopelessly loyal. But I hate predicting the future, I really do, because you just don’t know. I can’t even make up my mind what I’m going to do this weekend.”

“The mystique and the romance of a big wedding are lost on me. I don’t think that I could ever do something that extravagant. I am not much of a planner. I would probably make the phone call twenty minutes before the bus leaves for the chapel and ask if anyone is available to come. That’s probably how my wedding is going to end up.”

I just love Cameron Diaz so much and I love the fact that while she’s totally the girl next door, she’s also a non-traditionalist and in the end, will do what makes her happy. She is always so bubbly and happy too but she’s not obnoxious about it.

So I guess if Cameron ever does get married, we’re likely not to hear about it until after the fact. And in today’s day and age when celebrities use their weddings as just another way to show everyone how much money they have, that’s just one more reason to love her.

What’s the Deal with A-Rod?

Alex Rodriguez has been made famous, if not for his all-star baseball skills, than for making otherwise intelligent women in Hollywood fall for him like complete idiots. Seriously, I don’t know what the deal is with this guy, and I certainly don’t understand why so many women find him so incredibly attractive. But, after Madonna smartened up and dumped him, he hooked up with Kate Hudson, a woman that I admire and respect, and who I believe has a perfectly good brain in her head (except when it comes to A-Rod, apparently.) But now, it seems he’s captured another Hollywood lady under his spell, and it’s Cameron Diaz! Yet another actress that I love, and wish she could get a brain. This news comes from Contact Music,

But the sportsman was rumoured to have moved on from the actress with Diaz after he was spotted with her during the Super Bowl festivities in February (10).

Now Diaz has caused further speculation she is dating Rodriguez, by dining with him at the Big Apple’s Hotel Griffou, along with actress pal Kate Winslet on Saturday night (01May10), reports New York Post gossip column Page Six.

The Charlie’s Angels actress was then reportedly photographed leaving Rodriguez’s home the following day on Sunday afternoon (02May10).”

Normally, I would think that these rumors weren’t true. That’s usually my first inclination when there’s a new rumor that I’m just praying isn’t true. But I don’t know. These two certainly do be spending a lot, a lot of time together lately. And I don’t think that A-Rod has any movie plans in the near future so I don’t think it’s a coworker/peer thing. But spending the night at his house? And going out for dinner repeatedly (although I think that Kate Winslet thing may have just actually been a gathering of friends.) I guess we’ll all find out in a couple of months when they decide to go public with it. And that’s only if this rumor is true. I’m still hoping it’s not.

Is Kate Hudson Pregnant?

Lots of people have been talking lately about the state of Kate Hudson’s boobs. Did she get a boob job? And if she did, why’d she get such small ones? I’m in agreement with Celebitchy, I think that if Kate did get a boob job, then she should be applauded for getting normal, orange-sized boobs rather than the melons that most people tend to go for when they want to enhance their upper female parts. But now, Celebitchy has also brought up another valid point – did Kate get a boob job, or is she pregnant?

Celebitchy caught these pics of Kate while she was in New York filming a movie and I have to say, that might be a bit of a pooch we see sticking out from above Kate’s waistline. So now of course, the big question is – Is she pregnant? How awesome would it be if she were! She’s such a cute preggo and I just love it when Kate Hudson has anything major going on in her life because then she’s all over the tabloids. And, as my BFF, I enjoy reading about her.

Celebitchy also tried to figure out who the baby daddy would be if indeed Kate is pregnant. I have no idea. I don’t think it would be Alex Rodriguez, as they broke up quite some time ago. Celebitchy also pointed to the fact that Kate has dated John Mayer and has been linked to Justin Timberlake as well. Ew! I sincerely hope it’s not either of these two but I also highly doubt it is.

At first I didn’t think that Kate looked preggers in this picture. I think it’s just baggy capris (which I’m loving by the way!) and a see-through top. And I think anytime you see a woman celebrity’s bellybutton sticking out and she’s not wearing a belly shirt, people pretty much assume she’s pregnant. But I don’t know. The more I look at this picture, the more I think it’s entirely possible that yes, Kate Hudson might be pregnant. Maybe I’ve just stared too long….and of course, thanks to Celebitchy for the pic!

Is Derek Jeter Getting Married?

I’m not a big baseball fan. I have to admit, before Alex Rodriguez started dating Madonna, I only vaguely knew who he was. But I definitely didn’t know what he team he played for, and I still couldn’t tell you what position he plays. The same goes for Derek Jeter, but even more so. I had no clue who he was, the name rung absolutely no bells. So the fact that he had gotten engaged didn’t even faze me, let alone shake my world. But apparently, it shook the worlds of many.

Derek Jeter apparently, is this huge ladies man, let alone being the Captain of the New York Yankees, and some kind of superstar in that area too. But the news that he had finally decided to settle down with one woman, after being notorious for sleeping around, was big news to some. I wasn’t interested until I heard that Derek Jeter may not actually be engaged, let alone planning a wedding in the near future. Then I became very interested. Even though it may not be to me, that’s big news to muck up. Here People has a rundown of the debate as to whether or not Derek Jeter is engaged,

“Somehow it’s hard to picture: Derek Jeter picking out place settings and flower arrangements in between chasing another World Series title.

But that’s the word from his hometown paper, the New York Post, which reports the Big Apple’s most eligible bachelor for a long time is finally going to settle down with a November 5 wedding to Minka Kelly.

Never mind that the pair haven’t even confirmed they’re engaged, or that the run-up to baseball’s Fall Classic may cut into the Yankee star’s wedding-planning commitments: the ceremony is supposedly scheduled for two days after the end of the World Series. Not to mention, the Yankees still have to make it to the Series for the scheduling conflict to be an issue.

Their reps so far have not commented, and the news reports that have come since conflict. An NBC Sports blog thinks the wedding is for Jeter’s sister, not him, while Sports Illustrated reports that not only is the wedding true, but they’ve known about it for weeks.”

Usually a story that says the reps aren’t talking tells me that the story is true. And it’s hard to say because all of these sources are reputable enough to believe. But, there’s just something about this that just doesn’t ring true to me. Why would Jeter plan a wedding just days after the ending of the World Series? And, the couple hasn’t even confirmed that they’re engaged so, how did we jump to a wedding later this year? So, Derek Jeter probably isn’t engaged? Or maybe he is but the media has gotten the date wrong? Who knows at this point but I’m starting to feel sorry that I got involved in the first place.

Kate Hooks Up with Madonna After Breaking up with A-Rod

It was earlier this week when it was announced that Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez had split up. Reports are still varying as to who split with who, whether or not the two are still on friendly terms, or if there is a chance of them getting back together. So far it seems that anything and everything is up in the air with this one. But one thing that’s known for sure is that Kate Hudson has found a comforting shoulder in this difficult time (and we all knew she would, didn’t we?) That someone though is not the arms of another man, it’s the bony and cold shoulder of Madonna, who had split with the baseball star just before he hooked up with Kate. And there were actually rumors before A-Rod and Madonna split that he and Kate were seen heavily flirting with each other at a big celeb party. So perhaps now Kate and Madonna are just trying to get the story straight? That could be the case. It seems there’s a lot to get straight on this one. From Hindustan Times,

“Kate Hudson, heart-broken by her break-up with Alex Rodriguez, has found a sympathiser in Madonna. The singer was spotted comforting the actress at the premier of her flick Nine in New York.

“When the cameras were on Kate she was all smiles. But privately you could tell she has had her heart broken,” the New York Post quoted a witness, as saying.

Gossip has it that the New York Yankee dumped Hudson because he felt she was hogging all the public attention.

Goldie Hawn, Hudson’s mum also flew in to support her. The mother-daughter duo drank dirty martinis at M2 “and hung out all night,” according to an insider.

The source said: “It was her big premiere, and she was upset Alex wasn”t there to support her.”

Jay-Z’s Empire State of Mind, which became a Yankees anthem during the World Series victory, aggrieved Hudson even more.

The source said: “When the song was played at the after-party, Kate looked at her mom and did a fake scream.” However, one of Hudson’s friends says the relationship is not yet over.

The pal said: “They had a huge fight in London at the premiere of Nine, and Alex flew to Miami to hang out with his friends. But in the last few days he and Kate have started speaking again on the phone. She hopes they can work things out. But they are both very stubborn.”

So do you think that Kate and A-Rod will get back together? It wouldn’t surprise me. Kate is infamous for recycling her ex’s. And the Yankee fans might do their part on pushing the two back together as well. Word has it that they’re hoping that they’ll see Kate back next year to take them through another series. Unfortunately, because another reason given for the split was that Kate just wanted camera-time at her boyfriend’s games, one of the negotiating factors in any reunion just might be that Kate can still cheer on the Yankees….from home in front of her television.

Kate and A-Rod are Not Engaged, So They Say

I didn’t even know that Kate Hudson went wandering around sporting a diamond ring on her left hand until the reports that she was engaged were denied. Of course, whenever a female celeb walks around wearing a band around their left finger, people automatically assume that she’s been engaged. And for good reason. But the reports are coming now that Kate is not engaged…but they don’t come from Kate. Instead they come from Kate’s boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. The two have been dating for just under a year which is mega-long in Hollywood terms. But it seems that if Kate wants to make that diamond official, she may just have to wait a little bit longer. It would really surprise me if these two were engaged already. It took them so long to even go public with their relationship, I just don’t think they’re ready for that step. And I hope not. I love Kate Hudson but I find A-Rod to be a bit boring (and not all that nice to look at either.) I think Kate can do better. And I think that if we give this relationship just a little more time, she just might.

Hudson Goes Public with A-Rod

It’s no secret that Kate Hudson has been trying to keep her relationship with Alex Rodriguez a secret ever since they started dating a few months ago. But, this headline still confuses me. Apparently over this past weekend, Kate Hudson went to support her man at the annual New York Yankees picnic and they had a pretty passionate kiss-fest while paparazzi and reporters were all too happy to watch and snap away with their cameras. What confuses me about this story is that I can’t find any pictures that were supposedly snapped. Who’s hanging on to the goods? From Contact Music,

I understand Kate’s hesitation to take any relationship public. She takes a severe beating in the media when it comes to her love life and how she recycles past boyfriends, over and over again. But this thing with A-Rod has been going on for awhile now and it may be time to come out of the “I’m dating a huge baseball star” closet. I also really want to see those pictures!

A Check-In on A-Rod and Kate

It’s been awhile since we checked in on Kate Hudson and her newest beau, Alex Rodriguez. But the two were seen enjoying some couple time together in Newport Beach, California this past weekend. Apparently, the two had a quiet dinner together before Alex went to play MLB the next day and Kate played mommy to her son, Ryder. What can you say about these two? They seem to be quite wonderful together and somehow - somehow - Kate has managed to keep this relationship somewhat under wraps. Even though we all know they’re together, they still manage to stay away from the headlines and even on this weekend getaway, there were no shots taken of the couple together. Bravo, Kate! An Update on the Weirdest Love Triangle Ever

Okay, maybe not the weirdest ever. I think that title will always go to the Moore/Kushton/Willis bunch but this one’s pretty screwed up too. Kate Hudson has dated just about everybody in Hollywood, as has Madonna. Madonna started seeing Alex Rodriguez while she was still married to Guy Ritchie. Then Kate Hudson expressed interest in Rodriguez while he was still seeing Madonna. Madonna has since moved on and is now seeing someone who really has nothing to do with the triangle and Kate and A-Rod are now perfectly happy. Confused? Welcome to Hollywood. 

Well Kate and A-Rod are perfectly happy and, unlike so many other of Kate’s fleeting relationships, this one seems to be ’something serious.’ However ’something serious’ seems to only constitute introducing each other to friends, traveling together, and staying in the same hotel…where *gasp* they also worked out together. I’m sorry, don’t two people who are sleeping together usually stay in the same hotel? It seems only common sense to me. From the Daily Blabber,

“After spending some time together last month in NYC, sources say that Kate Hudson and Yankee Alex Rodriguez are not just a flash in the pan.

“It’s somewhat serious,” an insider told People.com. “He introduced her to a bunch of his friends.”

Kate’s even gone on the road with him! She took son Ryder to Dallas for the Yankees’ three-game stint against the Rangers last month. They stayed in the same hotel as A-Rod, where the new couple “worked out together in the fitness center.”

For one of the games, a source said, Kate “stayed behind and watched the game from the hotel,” but sent Ryder to the stadium with a nanny. “She remarked several times about what a big baseball fan she is!”

Not that I doubt the two are serious but, I don’t think that you can go on these things alone. She said she was a huge baseball fan and so she’s in love? I don’t see how that works. I’m not buying this story and even if it’s true, I don’t know why it’s so news-worthy. Maybe just because it’s Kate Hudson and so hard to believe?
