What’s Up with Avril and Deryck?

It was all over between Avril Lavigne and her ex-husband, Deryck Whibley in October. But now it seems that there might still be a few things left for Avril and Deryck to discuss. They both went to an Alice in Wonderland after-party the other night and afterwards, it seems that one of them needed a ride because they shared a limo. Now, I’m pretty sure that a movie screening involves tons of celebrities with tons of cars that could have given one of these divorcees a ride.

TMZ captured this photo but they also had some other interesting news to report. Not only was Avril getting some alone time with her ex, but so was Brody Jenner, the pretty boy that Avril has been hooking up with recently. Yep, while Avril and Deryck were taking a joyride, Brody was doing the same thing with his ex, Kristin Cavallari. I guess life doesn’t get easier after marriage. Or after divorce for that matter.

Elin May Not Be So Supportive After All

All accounts so far have been pointing to the fact that Elin Nordegren is fully supporting her cheating husband, Tiger Woods. But now the National Enquirer has other reports that Elin is enraged that she was forced to listen to account after account of Tiger’s indiscretions while she was in Mississippi trying to support him through his therapy. Not only is she angry that she had to do this, but from the sounds of it, she’s also fed up with the marriage and wants out!

All we’ve heard so far about Elin and Tiger is that they are working on their marriage, although Tiger expressly said in his press conference that what they were going to do about their marriage was a matter between them as husband and wife. But the Enquirer has been right about everything so far that’s been going on with Tiger, and they were the first ones to even break the story so I’m tempted to believe this one too. From the National Enquirer,

“[Elin] initially agreed to be part of [Tiger's] therapy, but when she agreed in Mississippi at Gentle Path, she discovered that she’d have to listen to a painful and intense ‘disclosure’ session.

“Patients write down every sexual encounter they’ve had in excruciating detail, and are given polygraph tests to make sure they’re telling the truth. Then they read their ‘disclosure’ in a group therapy session, while their spouse listens.

“Elin exploded when she found out she was expected to do this. She felt that she’d been manipulated, and said over and over again, ‘None of this is my fault, and there’s no way I’m going to put myself through this.’ Shortly after that, she flew back to Florida.

“Later, when therapists tried to set up conference-call therapy sessions with her, Tiger and a therapist, she flatly refused.

“Since then, Elin has turned her back on Tiger. In his apology, Tiger indicated that they were talking, but they lived apart in Florida before he headed to Arizona for rehab, and Elin doesn’t want to move on with the marriage.

“She’s decided that there’s no point being part of his therapy. Although she could always change her mind, it looks like it’s too late for Tiger to save his marriage. But he knows he has to complete therapy if he ever wants to get his life back in order.”

And, speaking of rehab. The National Enquirer also ran a story about how Tiger was changing rehab facilities. Not because of any privacy issues like Brooke Mueller, but rather because he doesn’t feel as though a sex addiction is his problem – it’s a problem with prescription drugs such as Vicodin and Ambien. These apparently, affected his ability to make the right decision and keep it in his pants.

I’m sorry, I just don’t care what kind of addiction Tiger thinks he’s battling. Choices were made, and they were very poor and now he must deal with the consequences. He didn’t seem to be too high or too incoherent to sleep with 14+ women, so he shouldn’t have been too unable to make the right decision either – which would be to not sleep with those women!

And how humiliating for Elin to have to not only hear the gruesome details of Tiger’s affairs, but sit there and hear Tiger read about all of them to her and a group of people! I don’t blame her for not being supportive and to be honest, I’m surprised that she went as far as she did. I hope that she leaves Tiger, I really do. Maybe then I could regain some of the respect that I had for her.

My Heart is Broken – Seth Green is Engaged

Some may consider him to be a “little troll”, but I think Seth Green is just too cute for words! I have loved him ever since – well, since forever. The first movie I actually remember seeing him in was Can’t Hardly Wait, but I’m sure I was crushing on him even before then because when I saw that movie, I remember thinking, “Hey, isn’t that guy with the goggles and the phat pants Seth Green?”

But, all of this is a moot point because it seems that Seth and I were never meant to be. Nope, he’s gone and found himself another love, Clare Grant, to whom he is now engaged. Well, I have to say that this Clare person is ugly and stupid, and just not very nice at all. No, she’s not really. She’s actually quite pretty, and I’m sure she’s a lovely person. But damn, she stole my Seth! So I have to hate her! This, from People,

Green, 36, and Grant, 30, attended the Tarina Tarantino Sephora launch party in Hollywood Wednesday and were seen cuddling at the valet stand, but were tightlipped about details of their upcoming nuptials, according to E! News. A source tells PEOPLE that despite reports, the couple did not get engaged on New Year’s Eve.”

Clare Grant isn’t a nobody either, even though I had certainly never heard of her before I found out that she was marrying the Funniest Man on Earth. She has been in films like Black Snake Moan with Christina Ricci and she’s about to appear in a new show put on by MTV called $5 Cover. *Sigh* Seth, you break my heart.

Cutie Watch: Suri Cruise

It’s been awhile since we checked out what Suri Cruise is up to and guess what? The same old thing! Wearing high heels and being her own little fashionista down the streets of Manhattan, Milan, or whatever other spectacular city she and her parents happen to be in at the time. Well, she’s actually in whatever city her mom, Katie Holmes, happens to be filming her upcoming movie The Romantics. It was there that Katie’s co-star, Adam Brody, had some very kind words about the preschooler for In Touch,

“[Katie's] daughter is down-to-earth. You’d think she wouldn’t be! She’s amazing!” Adam tells In Touch of the famous preschooler, who spent some time on the set of their upcoming film The Romantics. “She’s very outgoing and loving.”

Okay, ya know what? Suri may grow up to be down to earth but, she’s not right now. Or rather, she is but, I think most 3-year-olds are down to earth. They don’t even know about the world yet, how can they possibly think that they somehow rise above it? Suri is cute as hell. But down to earth? I think not.

Hookin Up: Avril and Brody!

Avril Lavigne certainly isn’t nursing any broken hearts over her divorce from Deryck Whibley, which was made official in October. Word is getting out that Avril and Brody Jenner, from The Hills, have been dating for at least a few weeks now. But they’ve already started to make their public appearances, so I’d say it’s been a little while longer than that. But from the sounds of it, they both seem to be on the same wavelength and like to have fun together. From E! Online,

“Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner might be Hollywood’s hottest new hookup.
Sources tell E! News that 25-year-old Lavigne and the Hills star have been seeing each other quietly over the last couple weeks.

“They’re hooking up,” an insider said, “but they’re keeping it low-key.”

Not so low-key that they haven’t been seen in public, however. The pair, who both became single late last year, were first spotted at dinner at Koi on Feb. 4. According to a restaurant source, the “Sk8ter Boi” warbler and 26-year-old hunk left together in the same car and drove to club Voyeur.

They were last seen out again on Thursday, back at Voyeur, where they partied all night.

“You can tell they’re into each other and both like to have a good time,” another source says. “They’re cute together.”

This probably won’t last and I have to say, I’d be happy if this was a short fling. It’s going to take big feet to fill the shoes of Deryck Whibley. I just loved him and Avril together so much and I found it quite sad when the two of them broke up. And it surprises me that Avril would go for someone like Brody. He’s just so…pretty. I kind of like the fact that she’s got that tougher look going for her, and I’d like to see her with someone who sort of mirrors that. Someone like hmm…Deryck Whibley.

Ryan and Abbie: Splitsville!

Another woman has gotten a taste of Ryan Phillippe’s wandering eye, and I say – serves you right, biotch! Finally, I get my own little taste of justice after someone has helped to break up a favorite couple of mine. I bet the only person on Earth happier than me right now is Reese Witherspoon.

Yes, Ryan Phillippe and Abbie Cornish have split after Ryan cheated on her too and Abbie gave him the boot. It seems that Ryan has been spending a lot of time with other women lately in clubs and whatnot and Abbie finally had enough. In a slick move, she moved out of the home the two shared while Ryan took his kids to visit a friend. Hmm, I wonder if Ryan knew about that little relocation before it happened? From NY Daily News,

“Aussie actress Abbie Cornish has split with Ryan Phillippe.

“Abbie ended the relationship with Ryan and she moved out of their home,” the actress’ rep confirmed to People.

While Phillippe was visiting a friend with his children, Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6, on Sunday, the “Bright Star” actress was spotted moving out of the Los Angeles house she shared with the actor.

Cornish, 27, and Phillippe, 35, who met on the set of their war drama “Stop-Loss,” weathered intense media scrutiny in 2006 after they began dating around the same time as the actor’s divorce from Reese Witherspoon.

Being linked to the demise of Phillippe’s seven-year marriage proved to be “a really difficult time for me,” Cornish told W magazine last year.

“In a normal, successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day,” she said. “I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with.”

Ugh. Could I feel any less sorry for poor little homewrecker Abbie Cornish? Yes, sometimes it works out that celebrities deal with being under the spotlight bit by bit. But when you’re in your first movie, and you immediately hook up with your co-star that’s married and has kids, you’re bound to have a few people looking your way pretty quickly. And who ever said that Abbie Cornish had a successful career? I’d bet I’m not the only one who knows her more as being Ryan Phillippe’s mistress than anything else.

My Thoughts on Tiger Woods’ Press Conference

There was great speculation yesterday and today, leading up to Tiger Woods’ press conference. Would he announce that he was returning to golf? Retiring? Splitting from Elin? Some even went so far as to suggest that Elin was pregnant. The press conference ran across the three major television networks and even preempted the Olympics. Can I just say, that’s disgusting. I realize that people are interested in Tiger Woods but, could one station not keep the Olympics running? They do only come around once every four years and there are actually people who are more interested in how their country or favorite athlete is doing, rather than if Tiger is going back to play golf. On with the press conference.

If you’re going to read part of it, you may as well read it all so I’ve just given the link. I did watch it as it aired on TV and I went into it very anti-Tiger. I was pretty sure that I knew what he was going to say and that none of it would be good enough. I was partly right. None of it was good enough. But he did surprise me and I have to say, even I was softened a little. But I still think he’s a total douche.

Tiger outright admitted what he did, which was big for me. I didn’t want to hear any veiled admissions such as “the things I’ve done” repeated 20 times. He said no-bones-about-it, “I’ve cheated.” He made all the necessary apologies, to Elin and his kids, to his fans, to the young kids that look up to him, and to his entire family. He also made it very clear that Elin did not beat him over Thanksgiving, nor has anyone ever beaten anyone else in their household. Good to know.

Another thing I admired about Tiger’s speech was that he owned up to the real reason why he cheated: he thought he could. He thought he was better than everyone else and that “the rules didn’t apply to him.” Although he did talk about his “treatment”, he really blamed it on the fact that he’s a cheater and thought he was entitled. Good enough for me.

What I didn’t like about the press conference was that the whole entire thing seemed entirely choreographed. Not surprising, since Tiger’s known as  a PR Mastermind. But it all felt so orchestrated. It’s not that Tiger seemed completely insincere. But it wasn’t a really, truly bottom-of-my-heart kind of apology. Not having notes I think would have helped a lot.

Analysts are already comparing it to famous apology speeches such as Bill Clinton’s and calling it “the greatest apology speech ever.” But still, Elin wasn’t there and I’m sure she’s heard all these things before so apparently, she thinks it has a ways to go yet. And frankly, I don’t blame her for not standing by his side today. Tiger also said that whatever is going to happen between them is a private matter between husband and wife. And that’s fair enough. We’re going to find out sooner or later so there’s no point in prying now.

Brooke’s Got Some Problems Too

I really, really don’t want Brooke Mueller’s life. Ever. Not only was she beaten by her husband, Charlie Sheen on Christmas Day, but she also has some very serious substance abuse problems. During that incident, Brooke was said to be very, very drunk – very, very early in the morning after a night of partying with her husband. I think even though it was reported, it was sort of shrugged off because it didn’t really matter if she was drunk or not and people were more focused on how her husband was being dragged away in handcuffs.

But  now months later, more of these same problems of Brooke’s have come creeping up and this time, it’s landed her in rehab. And this actually isn’t the first time Brooke has had to go dry up. It’s not even the first time in the past few months. From Celebrity Dirty Laundry,

“Mother-of-two Brooke Mueller – who has 11-month-old twin sons Max and Bob with husband Charlie Sheen – was reportedly admitted to The Canyon rehabilitation centre last Tuesday (09.02.10) for substance abuse after an “out of control” night of partying with her husband. A source told gossip website Radar Online: “Brooke has been in denial about her problem for a long time. “She’s smoking crack and she’s drinking heavily. Everyone around her wanted her to get help. Her mother has been attempting to convince her to go into rehab for a while now.”

Brooke’s return to rehab came just one day after Charlie’s arraignment hearing on felony and misdemeanor charges relating to his alleged assault on her on Christmas Day (25.12.09). However, shortly after the Aspen court visit – which saw terms of a restraining order against Charlie relaxed – the pair apparently partied together in Los Angeles before Brooke was urged to seek help for her problems.

Another source added: “She went on an all-nighter. She was just out of control. They partied that night. She didn’t stop. “It was just more of the same with Brooke. Her mother had been begging her to go into rehab. “It got to the point where even Charlie told her to go to rehab because of their kids. She had one final party, drinking pretty heavily, and Charlie was with her part of the time. But when he left it didn’t stop. The next day she was in bad, bad shape and that’s when she went into rehab.”

This is the second time Brooke has visited a rehabilitation centre in recent weeks. Last month she stayed at the Two Dreams Outer Banks treatment centre in North Carolina over alleged substance abuse problems, following a stay in hospital for pneumonia.”

Yep, I’ll say it again. I do not want Brooke Mueller’s life. Ever. And crack cocaine, that’s nice. She’s a really good mom.

Nicole and Joel are Engaged!

After being together for more than three years and parenting sweet Harlow and little Sparrow together, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have decided to make honest people of each other and tie the knot. The two have gotten engaged and although just when that happened is still up in the air, we do know it will be made official very soon. And actually already has been.

Joel was the first to post the news on his Twitter account but then he quickly took it down. Word on the street is that Nicole wants to make the announcement herself when she’s on David Letterman, which she recently taped and made the announcement. After Joel had deleted the announcement, he posted another way hinting at the fact that all was not well in the Ritchie-Madden household. Not even married yet and Nicole’s already got the nag down! To be fair to her, Joel has made most of the major announcements that they’ve shared so giving her this one only seems right. From People,

“They’ve been together for more than three years and have two children. Now, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are planning to make it official.

“Yep. i’m engaged. Very happy. Yeah we’ve been engaged for a while so your all kind of late on that. But Thanks for the hooplah all the same,” Madden Tweeted Monday night, after news of their plans to wed went wide. He also expressed thanks to relatives who did not let word of the engagement slip.

He Tweeted: “P.s. thats why i love my family and friends. None of them are sources. All good tight lipped people who let us enjoy it! Thanks everybody”

Richie said Monday night during a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman that the couple are engaged to be married, a source told PEOPLE.

After the show, Richie headed to the New York restaurant Abe & Arthurs – without her fiancé – for dinner. “She was glowing,” says a source. “She was telling her table how happy she was.”

There’s no doubt the story is true but there do seem to be some contradicting details. Such as, if they’ve been engaged for some time, as Joel would like to have us all believe, why is Nicole in such a ‘glowing’ state about it? I’m not saying that it’s not exciting for the whole time of the engagement but this article really makes it seem as though Nicole has just announced the news to everyone, which is also not what the article would have us believe. Their ‘tight-lipped’ family and friends apparently have known for a long time.

In the end, it really doesn’t matter when Nicole and Joel got engaged. Maybe that’s something new Nicole will let us in on during the Late Show. Congratulations to them both! They’re a very cute couple and I wish them all the best!

Happy Valentine’s Day! from Sandra Bullock

Happy Valentine’s Day to you from us, and Sandra Bullock. This story just had me rolling in the aisles when I read it and it’s quite appropriate, seeing as how today is Valentine’s Day and this story is about a special little “something” Sandra had done for the all-special day. Talk about getting excited about Valentine’s, this girl went all out! And whether you’re nauseated by this story, or admire Sandy’s “go get em!” attitude, you have to give the girl credit. She really does whatever she can to please the ones she loves, she does it in a very cute and humorous way, and well…she’s creative!

I don’t know whether Sandra Bullock went to these lengths for this recent Valentine’s Day, or whether it was for one years past but, Sandy went to great lengths to shape her pubic hair in the shape of a heart. And then she dyed it pink. All on her own, in her own bathroom from the sounds of it, and with a great deal of pain involved. From Contact Music via Celebitchy,

“Sandra Bullock burned herself dying her pubic hair.

The actress – who is married to motorcycle enthusiast Jesse James – admits she was horrified when her special Valentine’s Day (14.02.10) grooming efforts went wrong.

She explained: “I decided for Valentine’s Day I would do a special hair thing. I wanted to try to create a pink heart shape with my lower hair. It was painful.

“You had to bleach it first. There’s something about bleach that feels like acid. Then I had to shave it. I was in so much pain, but I kept going and put the pink dye on and it went the wrong colour.”

The 45-year-old star also suffered another dyeing disaster when she went blonde recently for her role in ‘The Blind Side’ because Jesse hated it.

She admitted to Britain’s OK! magazine: “There is a very important person in my life who just didn’t want me being blonde – thank God. There was a big person who said, ‘I don’t like the blonde on you, take it off. You want him to say that.’ You want him to say that. You do.”

Once again, I just have to say….BAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh, poor Sandra! I do feel very bad for her because, oh Lordy the pain! But still, it’s funny. And it just goes to show that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Hope you’re having a good Valentine’s Day, Sandra! And we hope you are too!
