Taylor and Taylor have Split!

The short-lived romance between Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner seems to have come to an abrupt end. Do you think that maybe they just couldn’t stand dating someone with the same as them any longer? Perhaps it just got too confusing? Gave them a bit of an identity crisis? No, it’s nothing nearly as dramatic as that. The two simply don’t have any chemistry together romantically and have decided to call it quits for the time being. It’s too bad really. I thought these two looked really cute together and I was sort of hoping that something major would come of it. It sounds though like I’m not the only one who’s disappointed. After three months of dating, country singer Taylor Swift and New Moon star Taylor Lautner have split, UsMagazine.com has learned.

“It wasn’t really developing into anything, and wasn’t going to, so they decided they were better as friends,” a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. “There was no chemistry.”

The pair — who met on the set of the romantic comedy Valentine’s Day — first sparked rumors of a romance when she hugged him at her October 9 concert in Rosemont, Illinois. They have since been spotted on several wholesome dates — like their frozen yogurt date at Menchie’s alongside Swift’s mom earlier this month — and have each coyly alluded to their relationship on separate Saturday Night Live hosting gigs.

However, the relationship officially fizzled when Lautner, 17, flew to Nashville for Swift’s birthday party on Dec. 13, a friend of the singer reveals.

“He liked her more than she liked him,” the source tells Us. “He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn’t travel much to see him.”

Lucky for Lautner, the split won’t inspire angry songs like those written about ex Joe Jonas — who dumped Swift during a 27-second phone call in 2008.

“They plan to stay friends,” the source says.

In fact, Swift — whose friend says she is a “hopeless romantic” who “wants everything she writes about” in her songs — will likely reunite with the Twilight hunk when they begin promoting Valentine’s Day, out Feb. 12.”

I don’t know that these two will reunite. There’s a lot that chemistry can fix in a relationship. But if you don’t have chemistry, everything else is pretty much out. But I am glad that it ended amicably. That means that I don’t have to turn on either one of them, which is good because I just love both of these two so much!

Leo and Bar Seem to Be Together and Happy

This past summer Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Rafaeli broke up once again. After this, Leo started dating any model he could get his hands on and Bar, well, Bar seemed to retreat into the shadows to heal her wounded heart. That much made sense, since the reason for the split was rumored to be that Bar wanted to get super serious and Leo did not. But now it seems that the couple who just can’t stay away from each other, are not staying away from each other anymore. The two were recently spotted down in Mexico, with Leo all shirtless and such and Bar showing off her own model body in an itty bitty bikini. And, is it just me, or is Leo looking a little pudgy in the gut area? I know that he’s getting older and it’s not reasonable to expect him to be in the kind of shape he was in during Titanic but seriously! The guy’s a movie star! He might want to do a few sit-ups.

Are Russell and Katy Going to Get Married?

Russell Brand and Katy Perry have only been dating for a couple of months and already people have them walking down the aisle. Yes, according to the newest rumor, Russell popped the question to Katy after being spotted shopping for a diamond ring. I have to admit that when I first heard this story, I blew it off as complete fluff contrived from tabloids trying to sell their rags. But then I thought about it and it wouldn’t actually really surprise me. Both Russell and Katy seem to be the very spontaneous types and they did get together and then seemed to fall completely in love with each other in about a nanosecond. So maybe these wedding rumors are true after all. From Pop Crunch,

“He asked her to marry him last week and she quickly said yes,” a source whispers. “They don’t know when the wedding will be but they are planning to make it in 2010 if the schedules can work. Russell is ­searching for a jewellery designer to create a ring in time for the New Year.”

Will you be happy if Russell and Katy end up tying the knot? I wasn’t really a big fan of this couple when they first hooked up. Even though I love, love, love Katy Perry, Russell Brand just seems like a weirdo type to me, and I don’t find him at all attractive enough for a hottie like Katy. But after seeing him dote on her the last couple of months, I have to say that this would make me quite happy. Even if it is a bit too soon, in my humble opinion.

More on Charlie and Brooke

It was Christmas Day that Charlie Sheen was hauled out of his home in handcuffs due to a ‘domestic situation’ with his wife, Brooke Mueller and since then, we’ve heard all kinds of things, including Brooke’s refusal to cooperate with the authorities. Now we’re finding out that this refusal might come due to some threats that Charlie doled out while they were having the initial argument. This anyway, according to the story that’s being floated around now with the help of some of the police that were called to the scene. From US,

“Charlie Sheen allegedly held his wife Brooke Mueller at knifepoint and threatened to have her killed if she told anyone, according to a police affidavit released Monday.

After Mueller, 32, phoned 911 in a panic that Sheen had threatened her with a “knife,” officers went to a home in Aspen.

Officer Rick Magnuson says that when he arrived, he did not notice “any obvious injuries” on Mueller, 32, who was in the kitchen while Sheen, 44, waited upstairs.

When Magnuson took Sheen to the basement to talk, Sheen admitted that he and his wife — who wed in May 2008 and welcomed twin boys this year — had been having marital problems lately and that she “abuses alcohol,” according to the affidavit.

He said that Mueller began arguing with him at 3:30 a.m. after he “shared a song for his daughter whom he fathered with another woman.” The song made Mueller jealous, he said, and the argument escalated when she threatened to divorce him and take the children, the affidavit states.

According to the affidavit, Sheen told Magnuson that he and Mueller were yelling at each other and they had each slapped the other on the arm during the argument. He denied pushing or striking her, but he did admit that at one point, he took her eyeglasses and broke them in front of her.

Contrary to Mueller’s 911 claims, he denied threatening her with a knife. (According to the affidavit, Sheen acknowledged having a folding knife in his travel bag, which was outside the bedroom. Sheen showed the officer the dark colored, locking knife with a 4-inch blade. It was locked in the open position.)

According to the affidavit, another officer interviewed Mueller, who said she and Sheen were arguing in the bedroom. When she said she wanted a divorce, Mueller said Sheen grabbed her by the upper part of her throat while straddling her on the bed, according to the affidavit. He held a medium-sized, folding knife, blade exposed, to her throat, the affidavit states. She told the officer that Sheen said, “You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I’ll kill you.’”

Mueller said Sheen also told her, “Your mother’s money means nothing. I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won’t leave any trace,” according to the affidavit, which also stated that an officer later noticed Mueller had “red marks on the upper part of the front of her neck.”

Mueller told the officer that she managed to get Sheen off her by telling him, “You’re right. You’re right. You’re right. I’m sorry. I love you.”

Sheen was later booked for second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.

After spending most of his Christmas Day behind bars, he was released on $8,500 bond late Friday. (After his arrest, a rep for the actor told UsMagazine.com, “Do not be misled by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”)

Prosecutors say they probably won’t decide until Sheen’s next court appearance Feb. 8 whether to file charges against the actor.

In December 1996, Sheen was arrested for attacking ex-girlfriend Brittany Ashfield at his home in Southern California. He pleaded guilty in 1997 and was placed on two years’ probation.”

Now that’s interesting. In amongst Charlie Sheen’s dark past, I didn’t realize that he had proven himself to be a woman beater before. It’s no wonder I’ve never liked the guy! So who comes out better in this story? Charlie Sheen is a homicidal maniac that likes to threaten his wife with a knife while pinning her down on the bed, and Brooke drinks too much. Hell, if I were married to Charlie Sheen, I’d drink heavily too!

Renee Rings in the Holiday with Bradley’s Parents

Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper have been fairly public about their relationship. I guess that’s what happens when you begin the relationship fighting over the same guy with Jennifer Aniston. But since the time when Bradley was seen playing the field all over Hollywood, it seems that he has cozied up to Renee Zellwegger quite nicely. The two have been spotted out shopping, at the airport, and just about anywhere else you can imagine. And now for the Christmas holidays, the pics aren’t stopping! Although this time, it’s not of Renee and Brad so much. It’s with Renee and Brad’s mom! And the picture really is too cute. It definitely says that Renee and Brad’s family are comfortable with each other, and that they seem to get along just swimmingly. And, according to People, those feelings go further than just this pic. From People,

“Renée Zellweger spent Christmas this year with boyfriend Bradley Cooper – and his parents, Gloria and Charlie.

The four celebrated the holiday in Los Angeles, and Zellweger was spotted bonding all week with Cooper’s parents. On Dec. 21, the actress took them on a stroll in Venice, Calif. And on Christmas Eve, Zellweger and Cooper’s mom, Gloria, went shopping together. “Renée seems to get along really well with Bradley’s parents, ” an eyewitness tells PEOPLE. “They were laughing and seemed to have a great time strolling around Venice.”

On Dec. 24, Zellweger stopped by Bay Cities Italian Deli in Santa Monica, Calif., where she picked out several Italian delicacies. “Bradley’s mom is Italian-American and it was obvious that Renée was making an effort to impress Bradley’s mom with Christmas dishes,” the eyewitness says, adding that the actress asked for help to make sure she picked out something authentic. Says the onlooker: “Renée was in a great mood and seemed very happy.”

Well it looks as though Bradley followed his heart when he had his choice of Hollywood’s leading ladies and it looks as though it didn’t steer him wrong. Maybe we’ll hear wedding bells for this couple soon? They have only been dating for a short time and I hate to jump on wedding bandwagons but, it’s so unusual that we see Renee being so open and just well, happy! It makes me wonder.

What’s with all the Domestic Abuse?

Happy holidays from Hollywood! This year it seems they’re going out with a bang and the fists, they are a-flyin! On Christmas Day, Charlie Sheen was hauled out in cuffs after a domestic dispute with his wife, Brooke Mueller, and now Mary J. Blige is also being pinned as a Husband Hitter. This comes after she hit her husband in public hard enough that he bled over it. From Amy Grindhouse,

“Mary J. Blige is in the Christmas spirit and spreading her unique brand of cheer. It’s not a brand you’re going to want to experience for yourself, but she’s full of the spirit alright. The NY Post is reporting that Blige smacked her husband Kendu Isaacs in the face at her record release party at club M2 Tuesday night.

The two were probably not fighting, that’s just how some people say hello. One smack for hello, two for goodbye etc. etc. The singer is reported to have hit her love so hard in the face after suspecting him of flirting that she drew blood.”

This report actually came out on Christmas Eve so it seems that Blige was actually the first to start the new Christmas tradition. Can I just ask – seriously?!? What is up with all the domestic abuse with the celebrities lately? It started this year with Chris Brown and Rihanna and is ending with celebrities that you would never think of. Sheen, granted he’s surrounded by drama 24/7 but, a wife beater? I never took him for it. And Mary J. Blige? “Violent” was never really a word I would have associated her with before. Hopefully this isn’t a hot new trend and celebrities will be quick to smarten up and realize they can’t treat people like that. No matter who they are.

Charlie Sheen May be a Wife Beater

See? It’s stories like this that make me happy that I have never been a Charlie Sheen fan. Sheen, who has had a sordid and troubled history, and who just had twins in March with his new wife, Brooke Mueller, spent Christmas behind bars due to a domestic altercation. Apparently Brooke called the police in the early morning and according to her blood alcohol levels, she was already drunk. Charlie was taken away in handcuffs and of course his side of the story is that he was defending himself. His reps are also saying something about how not everything is always what it seems. That actually sounds like a bunch of bologna to me and I think the fact that the police at the time deemed him worthy to be thrown in jail shows that there was wrongdoing of some sort on Charlie’s part. It does make me thankful once again that I’m not Charlie Sheen’s PR person. This is what we know so far about the story from Bump Shack,

“Actor Charlie Sheen, Denise Richard’s ex-husband, was arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident involving his wife, Brooke Mueller, in Aspen, Collorado, on Christmas day (December 25). Brooke, who later registered a 0.13 in blood alcohol tests, called 911 at 9:34 am.

When the cops arrived they arrested Charlie for felony second degree assault, felony menacing and criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, which is all related to a “domestic violence component”. Charlie’s rep said, “Do not be mislead by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”

Charlie apparently told the authorities Brooke was the aggressor and that he was just trying to defend himself the best her could. Charlie was presented to a judge and has been released from the Pitkin County Jail on $8,500 bond. He will return to court on February 8, 2010.”

So I guess the whole thing is going to be blown over until the new year. And it seems that nothing will probably happen at that time either. I think this because Brooke, who was angry enough to press charges at the time and be okay with seeing her babies’ daddy taken away in cuffs, has now changed her story, a la Elin Nordegren, and is now refusing to talk to the authorities. “Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Charlie Sheen’s wife, Brooke Mueller, has told cops she’s done talking with them about the incident yesterday that landed Charlie in jail.

Sources say police contacted Mueller for a follow-up interview but she doesn’t want to cooperate any further. As we first reported, Brooke has changed the story she told when she called 911.

TMZ has spoken with the man who will decide if Charlie Sheen will be prosecuted. Arnold Mordkin, a Chief Deputy D.A. who runs the Aspen office, tells TMZ he has not seen the police reports yet, but, “Generally speaking, our office files charges when police make an arrest.”

Mordkin says his plan is to file charges on February 8, 2010 — Sheen’s next court appearance.

Mordkin also says, although he has not received firsthand information about Mueller’s follow-up contact with police, “It is not uncommon where a victim in the throes of an event says some things and thereafter the story seems to change.”

Mordkin did, however, warn, “I often file [criminal charges] against someone who falsely accuses someone.”

It sounds like this one’s going to get ugly either way. Even if Mueller doesn’t push the issue, it sounds like the D.A. is prepared to at this point. I just don’t understand why Charlie Sheen is such a schmuck and always feels the need to screw up his own life somehow. And it seems that he’s found yet another wife that’s just as messed up as he is and can’t seem to get her head screwed on just right.

Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher Are Engaged!!!

Oh, be still my beating heart, they’ve gone and done it! Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher have gotten engaged!! I am so super excited about two of my most very favorite stars getting together and preparing to spend the rest of their lives together! Well, it’s Hollywood so who knows if it really will be ‘to death do us part’ but these two have seemed to stay pretty real ever since they first hooked up so, it really could be the real thing this time. US has most of the details, what with how quiet the two were about their relationship in the beginning, and Carrie’s song to Mikey on her latest album. But it seems that there are little details to be given out about the engagement or the upcoming wedding, even though Carrie’s reps and Fisher himself have confirmed that the story is true. From US,

“Carrie Underwood and Ottawa Senator hockey player Mike Fisher are engaged, her rep tells UsMagazine.com.

“I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier,” the rep tells Us. “No wedding date has been set at this time.”

According to the Ottawa Sun, he also confirmed the news at a press conference Monday. He said he popped the question Sunday, but declined to offer any other details.

“It’s true,” he said. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”

His teammate Chris Neil said Fisher, 29, called him shortly after he proposed. “I think it’s great,” Neil told reporters. “It’s a long time coming. There’s going to be a lot of broken hearts in Ottawa with all those girls who are in love with Mikey.”

Underwood, 26, and Fisher have mostly been hush-hush about their relationship since they began dating last year.

But lately, they’ve been opening up.

Underwood gushed about the hockey player, 29, on the liner notes of her new CD, Play On.

“Thank you #12,” she wrote, referring to his jersey number. “You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day… xoxo, Carrie.”

He also praised her singing during a recent chat on The Sens Show, a Web news program for his team.

“She can sing anything – I like it when she sings a good rock song,” he said.

He added that she was “very committed” and worked “extremely hard. She doesn’t get too many days off – a lot less days off than I get. She’s always going.”

Despite their tough schedules, “we always find a way to make it work,” he said.

Now that they’re engaged, are babies next?

In the January issue of Self, she opened up about wanting to start a family.

“Not that I have a husband to have one with yet, but someday I’d like a family – not a big one, but not a small one either,” she said. “Two kids is good; three is fine. Four? Somebody’s getting something done, because we ain’t having five!”

Aaaww, these two are so cute!!! I can’t wait to watch and see what becomes of them and I’m just so, so happy that this didn’t become another relationship that quickly headed for Splitsville. A very heartfelt congratulations goes out to both of them and we can’t wait to hear more about wedding details!

The World Will Miss Brittany Murphy

What a terrible year for celebrity deaths. First Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, then Patrick Swayze, and now Brittany Murphy. Another star that was taken much too soon before her time. Brittany Murphy was only 32 years old when she was found unconscious in her bathroom by her mother. The cause of death is unknown but there is talk that it was a heart attack that took the young actress. It also seems that Brittany suffered from diabetes, was not feeling well shortly before her death, and that there were a lot of prescription medications in the house. Whatever the case was, it’s a very sad story of a very talented actress that the world will greatly miss. From TVNZ,

“Brittany Murphy was reportedly “very ill” in the days leading up to her death.

The 8 Mile actress passed away at the age of 32 on Monday but authorities have already ruled out foul play , despite persistent rumours she was addicted to prescription drugs.

Coroner’s Captain John Kades said: “Foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no outward signs of trauma or other injuries.

“We don’t have an autopsy scheduled yet, but we will do it as soon as possible. Given all the worldwide attention, if we can get it done today, we will.”

However, sources say several prescriptions were found in the house, written for various members of the household including Brittany – who reportedly suffered from diabetes – husband Simon Monjack and the actress’ mother.

One source said: “There were a lot of prescriptions in the house.”

Insiders say the actress had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for days – which she was taking medication for – and had begun vomiting shortly before her death, telling her family she felt “very unwell”.

According to reports, when her mother found her body in the bathroom of her Hollywood home, there was “a significant amount of vomit” in the room.

One of the ‘Clueless’ star’s neighbours said paramedics were in the house for almost an hour before taking her body to an ambulance on a stretcher.

The onlooker said “One paramedic was still working on her. First, I couldn’t even tell that it was Brittany that was on the stretcher. I looked like an older woman. Brittany was completely white and her face was covered with a mask. You could tell that something horrible had happened.”

Police later attended the house for what they have described as a “routine” death investigation.

In addition to the autopsy, toxicology tests to look for traces of drugs and alcohol in

Murphy’s system will also be carried out, but the results will not be known for six weeks.

The actress’ family have released a statement about the “terrible tragedy”.

It read: “The sudden loss of our beloved Brittany is a terrible tragedy. She was our daughter, our wife, our love and a shining star. We ask you to respect our privacy at this time.”

Murphy’s estranged father, Angelo Bertolotti – who hadn’t seen the actress in several years – also paid tribute to her.

He said: “She was just an absolute doll since she was born… Her personality was always outward. Everybody loved her.

“She was just so talented. I loved her very much.”

I really loved Brittany Murphy too. I first heard of her when she appeared in 8 Mile and then started to really, really love her when she was in Uptown Girls. It really is a great loss for the world and hopefully we’ll find out more soon so that the rumor mill doesn’t get going too much on this one. Our thoughts are with her family at this time and hopefully, they are also given the privacy that they need during this very tough time.

Another Quiet Split

It seems that it’s been a week of bad, and big, breakups. First there was Kate Hudson and A-Rod, and now there’s another Splitsville title going to Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal. No one could seem to get in agreeement about what was going on with these two and Reese even disputed some of the rumors herself, talking about how great Jake is and how he’s so funny, they grow veggies and cook together, blah blah blah. But now it seems the talk is true and these two are definitely finished. Just like Kate and A-Rod, there’s no official word from either camp right now about who ended it or why. But as every breakup goes in Hollywood, there’s a whole ton of speculation. From Lainey Gossip,

“Us Weekly is featuring the split on its latest cover. According to Us, Jakey wanted to marry Reese but she felt pressured and they fought and then they ended it over the phone. Supposedly Reese isn’t sure if J is suited to her children. Or something. The bottom line, if you believe the magazine, is that Reese drove the separation and now Jake is heartbroken.

Or not.

And no, this has nothing to do with gayness. It has everything to do however with the fact that she’s a humourless bitch. An alternate interpretation for the end of the relationship, according to my sources, is that Jake was done with her tight ass. “She’s just not that much fun and he used to be a really fun guy.”

I really like Reese Witherspoon but I do think that tight-ass title that she’s got going for her has something to it. I find it very hard to believe that Jake didn’t have good chemistry with her kids after they’ve dated for eons. I can however, see Jake wanting to marry Reese and Reese being a little gun-shy on the marriage front. But I don’t think it has anything to do with her kids. I think it’s because her first marriage was to a complete douche and now she’s hesitant to do it again. And who could blame her? But whoever ended it, I have to say, this is a relationship that I am sorry to see come to an end. These two were so cute together!
