Julie Chen Welcomes a Baby Boy!

We all watched Julie Chen get bigger and bigger this summer as she got further along in her pregnancy with every episode of Big Brother. To be honest, when it got down to the Final Four, I kept expecting a guest host every week, because Chen looked so ready to pop! But Julie made it past finale night to last Thursday, when she gave birth to Charlie Moonves. Charlie is the first baby for Julie but she’s no stranger to mothering. Julie is also stepmom to her husband’s 3 children from his first marriage – Adam,  Michael, and Sara. Star Magazine was one of the first to report the good news. Congratulations to Julie, Les, and the rest of the family!

Chris Brown Makes Pathetic Attempt at Comeback

I don’t know. Is it really considered a ‘comeback’ when Chris Brown has only been on Hollywood’s Most Hated list for less than a year now? Well, whether it can be called a comeback or not, Chris Brown is making  his first live appearance since he beat his girl, Rihanna, to a pulp in February. I really thought that people were starting to forget the horrific things Chris had done and that they were even starting to forgive him a little bit.

But I was happy to read that Hollywood, and the rest of the world, still seem to remember all too vividly what he did.  Yep, you hit your woman and things get bad for a long time. Chris doesn’t seem to be in the caliber of company that he would’ve been before he decided to be a complete douche. From Digital Spy,

“Chris Brown is to make his first live appearance since his altercation with Rihanna.

The 20-year-old R&B singer will headline the New Jersey radio station Power 105.1 FM’s ‘Powerhouse 09′ concert.

Brown, who has taken time off from the spotlight since his conviction, will perform at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ on October 27.

A promoter told MSNBC: “This is a pretty C-list lineup. Keri Hilson is good, Ginuwine has some following, but this is nothing like the lineup that would have surrounded him this time last year.

“Chris was the Michael Jackson heir apparent, he had huge endorsement deals. This isn’t the sort of show you would have expected from him before he got in trouble.”

According to Rolling Stone, it is still unclear if Brown has clearance from the Los Angeles court to perform at the show.”

It wouldn’t surprised me if he performed at the show when he wasn’t legally allowed to. Chris is so arrogant, pleading with his fans to come back to him and how sorry he is for what happened. I’m proud to say that we’re really not stupid. And not getting the gigs he once would is a nice confirmation of that for me. I hope Chris Brown rots. And I hope this ‘C-List lineup’ is the best Chris is ever going to see.

Kelly Rutherford is a Whacko

Have I said this before? I think Kelly Rutherford is a whacko. She had this completely bitter divorce with her ex-husband, Daniel Giersch, and it couldn’t have helped that the divorce proceedings started when she was about two months pregnant with their second child. Their custody battle was even uglier with creepy details about Kelly’s breast-feeding practices coming out in court. Kelly, in turn, thought that things such as potty training were also legal matters, and not something that should be worked out between the parents – married or not. Everything finally settled and I was really hoping that we wouldn’t hear too much more about Kelly and Daniel. Very wishful thinking.

Now Kelly has gotten a temporary restraining order on Daniel. Because he’s showing up and making scary threats. I’m sure. Sorry, I’m feeling a tad skeptical today and think that this is just another way for Kelly to try and make Daniel’s life a living hell. From Star,

“The ongoing custody battle between Kelly Rutherford and her estranged husband Daniel Giersch has become even more bitter. The Gossip Girl star was granted a temporary restraining order against Daniel on Thursday, according to Los Angeles Superior Court records.

Kelly claims Daniel “has begun to follow me, my mother and my nanny and he shows up unexpectedly to threaten and scare us.”

Daniel’s lawyer denied the claims, calling them “fabricated accusations.” Currently, the couple split custody of Hermes, 2, and Helena, 3 months.

The stay-away order is in effect for 21 days. Their next court date is October 15.”

I certainly hope that goes well for Daniel. And maybe Kelly can be charged with obstruction of justice or something. Or simply just being a waste of our time.

Chynna Phillips Seems Confused On Oprah

Okay, I purposely didn’t watch Oprah on Friday, as much as I love that woman and hate to miss her show. But, I knew that Chynna Phillips was going to be on, talking about her sister, Mackenzie’s, recent revelations on Oprah, that she had a very, very long-term affair with her father, John Phillips. This sick relationship did not take place between their dad and any other child in the family. But it did allegedly happen with Mackenzie. Throw into the mix the step-mother who’s denouncing the whole entire story as garbage and Chynna Phillips, who had said that she believed her sister. The whole thing was sick and twisted, I was trying really hard not to get sucked into it. But, after reading a tiny bit of Chynna’s interview on Friday with Oprah, I have now been fully sucked in. And I think Chynna was quite confusing.

Chynna says that she believes Mackenzie and that she’s known for years and years about this affair. But, then she couldn’t sit on the same stage with her sister? Whom she’s supposedly supporting? There’s just something about this that I’m not buying. And I’m not sure Chynna’s entirely buying it either. And she’s not doing a great job of covering that up. From ET Online,

“Former Wilson Phillips singer Chynna Phillips says she believes that her father had an incestuous relationship with her sister, Mackenzie Phillips.
In Mackenzie’s first interview that aired on Wednesday on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” the former actress made claims of having an incestuous relationship with her father, The Mamas and the Papas lead singer John Phillips, for 10 years.
“It didn’t happen every day, didn’t happen every week, but it did happen many times,” the actress told Oprah. “It became a consensual relationship over time.”
“My sister and I are very close now,” Chynna told Oprah on her live show today.
Of the abuse claims, “I wasn’t there to see it,” she says. “When you’re on drugs, it’s hard to be accurate. There was a consensual relationship that lasted between my father and my sister that lasted for 10 years.”
The singer said she’s known for “about 12 years.” When they had the conversation, “You could have dropped a piano on my head and I wouldn’t have felt it,” Chynna said. “I believed her because — first of all, who’s going to go out of their way and say, ‘I had sex with my dad.’”
Mackenzie then joined via satellite. “I’m really sorry to put you in this position,” she said almost immediately. Chynna said she understood her sister’s reasons for coming out with her story.”

There’s also something that about Mackenzie’s apology that I just don’t buy. It’s not ‘I cannot be quiet anymore!’ It seems more like, ‘I’m sorry that you got caught in the middle of my selfish acts.’ And Chynna’s quip about getting the ‘Lord onboard’ may have been meant to be supportive. But is there a touch of ‘God help ya!’ in there? All of this I might be able to overlook but if she believes her sister,  and if she’s supporting her sister, why couldn’t she sit on the same stage as her? Why was she so worried that Mackenzie would twist her words? I have no doubt that Chynna loves her sister very much. I just don’t think she believes her as much as she’s saying she does.

Are Justin and Jessica Headed for Splitsville?

I’ve never been interested at all in the relationship starring Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel. They’re just so utterly boring as a couple and I’m not a big fan of either one of them as individuals. But now it seems that these two might get a bit more interesting, mostly due to the fact that there are rumors that they are not going to be a couple for too much longer. Whether or not it’s Jessica or Justin that is unhappy can’t be said just yet but it seems that Justin is certainly getting his kicks elsewhere these days. Mainly with Olivia Wilde and Rihanna. And while the rumor-spreaders are not saying much about Wilde, Rihanna might just have her eye on Timberlake and be looking to get some Sexy Back into her own life. From Star Magazine,

“When Justin Timberlake won the Emmy for best guest actor, Jessica Biel was nowhere in sight – even though she was in the same city!

And Justin was certainly wasn’t acting like he had a girlfriend at the award show. According to an eyewitness, he flirted shamelessly with just about every woman he came across, most notably Olivia Wilde. “He was acting like a total player!”

But one lady who has done a lot more than innocently flirt with Justin is red-hot Rihanna. After the MTV VMAs, Justin spent the night getting cozy with Rihanna in NYC – while Jessica was in LA! Justin and Rihanna hit up 1Oak and Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club, where she sat on Justin’s lap and the two dirty danced in a VIP section, says an insider.

Although Justin and Rihanna left the club separately, they later met up at the Hotel on Rivington, where Rihanna was staying.

“She told friends that she’s definitely into him,” says the insider. And the next day, Justin was in a panic when he found out that someone snapped photos of him and Rihanna getting frisky at 40/40.

“Rihanna is single and wasn’t too concerned,” says the insider. “But Justin’s got a lot more to lose.”

Although Justin and Jessica were both in LA in the days leading up to the Emmys, the two weren’t seen out together. The only time they were spotted together in almost a month was on Sept. 16 when the couple looked dour as they walked their dogs.

“They weren’t holding hands, they weren’t even speaking,” says an eyewitness. “He looked miserable, and Jessica was definitely upset about something.”

Now the couple will be apart for two months while Jessica shoots The A-Team with Bradley Cooper in Vancouver.”

I will do my own little dance of joy if Jessica and Justin really are headed for Splitsville. And I probably won’t really care who either of them hook up with after that. But, as far as Rihanna’s concerned, I have to say that I don’t think I’d mind seeing her with Justin. As much as I don’t care for his music, and really do think that he’s under the impression that he’s all that while he’s so not, it can’t be denied that in real life, this guy is a sweetheart. And he knows how to treat his women. It’s about time that Rihanna found out what that was like.

Patrick Swayze Regrets Never Becoming a Father

I was so, so saddened when Patrick Swayze passed away. It’s rare that  a celebrity dies and I feel truly  sad about it but Patrick Swayze was just one of those great, great men. He was not only truly talented and a gift to all of us but he was also a wonderful husband to his wife, Lisa Neimi, and really just a great role model for all of us to look up to. He lived life so happily and it seemed, easily. But of course, Patrick Swayze had problems too and, as might not be expected, he had regrets in life. Or rather, maybe not regrets, but just one big regret. That was never having children. Swayze speaks in his memoirs about how  he and his wife lost a baby to miscarriage and they were never able to get pregnant again.  This story hits me on a very personal level and it just makes me like Patrick even more. “Patrick Swayze’s biggest regret in life was never becoming a father.

The Dirty Dancing actor – who lost his battle against pancreatic cancer last week – always wanted children with his wife of 33 years, Lisa Niemi, but the couple was devastated when she suffered a miscarriage three months into her pregnancy. Following the miscarriage, the couple continued trying to conceive, but Lisa never got pregnant again.

“I couldn’t wait to become a dad, to have a child with this woman I loved so dearly. And I wanted to be the best father I could be – the kind of father my dad had been to me,” Patrick writes in his memoir, The Time Of My Life, on sale Sept. 29. “I felt completely crushed with grief. We wanted to try again, but the loss had been so devastating that we just couldn’t do it right away. We figured we had plenty more years ahead of us. Eventually, we did start trying again hoping Lisa would get pregnant. But she never did.”

I’m so sorry to hear that Patrick Swayze had regrets with his life.  I wish there was some way he could know that, for every little girl like me, who watched Dirty Dancing over and over again when they were only 9 years old, that he showed us what real men were made of and how real men treated the people they love. In that way, I think he was a dad to all of us. He really was the perfect role model, never getting into the scandals of Hollywood and showing everyone that it’s possible to be a  great actor and a great person  -   all at the same time!

Christina Aguilera was Abused by Her Father

Thanks to  The Sun, it’s now coming out that Christina Aguilera was once beaten, pretty severely and on a regular basis, by her father. The abuse got so bad that at one point, she says she was left ‘drenched in blood.’ And at the time, she was only 4 years old.  The news is sickening but, Christina says that it was these experiences that made her reach to music as an outlet and it’s because of the abuse that she became so passionate about music.  Christina’s mom, Shelly left her abusive husband, Fausto, and took Christina with her after one incident when her daughter woke up her precious daddy while he was taking a nap. And it was this incident that left Christina soaking in her own blood.  God, the image makes my stomach turn. Of course, Fausto has taken the route of ‘deny, deny, deny’ and says that he respects their right to ‘remember things differently.’  From The Sun,

“A FOUR-year-old CHRISTINA AGUILERA was left drenched in blood after her father violently attacked her – for innocently disturbing his “nap”.

The pop star and her mum SHELLY KEARNS have opened up about the abuse they suffered at the hands of army sergeant FAUSTO in a new E! documentary.

Shelly recalled: “I scooped her up and said, ‘Oh my God. What’s wrong?’
“She told me, ‘Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise.’”

The alleged horror incident was the final straw for Shelly, who packed up and fled the family home with Christina and her other daughter RACHEL.

But the painful memories of her life before that moment remain as vivid as ever for the Beautiful singer.

Christina said: “I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things – a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarrelling.

“Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world.”

Christina also revealed that her passion for music was borne out of her tormented childhood.

She added: “I turned to singing as an outlet.

“The pain at home is where my love for music came from.”

Christina is adamant Fausto’s pleas for forgiveness will always fall on deaf ears.

She said: “I let him back into my life briefly but I soon realised that he is not necessary in my life.”

In 2002, Fausto vehemently denied Shelly’s previous allegation that he was “very cruel and abusive” towards his family.

He retaliated: “My relationship with her mother was tense and I wasn’t perfect. But I love Christina and her sister Rachel.

“I never abused them in any way and they know that.

“Shelly and I disagreed on a lot of things and we both had hot tempers.

“I’m sorry to have ever raised a hand to my wife, but it was never brutal like IKE and TINA TURNER.

“Still, even though it’s been exaggerated, I respect Shelly and Christina’s right to remember things differently.”

The couple’s 10-year marriage ended in 1989.”

Although I do like Christina Aguilera’s music, I’ve never really liked her as a person. She just seems very, “I’m Christina, bow down and worship me. ”   But I have to say, this new information really makes me feel for her. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be abused by anyone. But to have someone who’s supposed to protect you and save you from harm be the one doing the harm, it just really makes me sad.   And I get what she’s saying about feeling helpless. I have never felt helpless because someone was abusing me. But I have felt helpless before and it is really a horrible and hopeless feeling. It seems that she has come out of it a stronger woman though and that she hasn’t let it destroy her. I guess the song Beautiful will have a whole new meaning to everyone now, won’t it?

Lilo and Sam Brawl It Out Again

Maybe lumping Samantha Ronson into this latest fight with her girlfriend, Lindsay Lohan is a mistake. Especially seeing as how she probably didn’t even know it was going on at the time. Yep, Lilo has outdone herself once again. Not only did she throw plates, food, and trays at a hotel door while screaming at her girlfriend, Samantha Ronson but the door she was throwing all this crap at didn’t even have Sam on the other side. Nope. Lindsay failed to get her facts straight and so, while she was having one of her infamous tantrums, Sam was probably sleeping soundly in her own bed, or listening to her mp3 player. Either way, Sam was completely oblivious to the fact that Lilo was on the rampage once again. From Hollyscoop via Celebitchy,

“Lindsay Lohan is back to her old tricks! We suspected Lindsay wasn’t 100% “sober” like she’s been claiming, but this story pretty much confirms our speculation.

Inside sources tell Hollyscoop that Lindsay Lohan was kicked out of the Bowery Hotel in New York City last night after a blow-up fight with Samantha Ronson.

Police were called to the scene after Lindsay reportedly “threw a room-service tray at what she thought was her girlfriend’s door” during a heated fight.

The only problem was…she threw that tray at the wrong door. As a result Lindsay was kicked out of the posh hotel, with authorities escorting her off the premises.

The same source claims Lindsay’s friends and family are planning on staging an intervention to get her back in rehab for the fourth time!

It’s official! Lindsay is a mess! Her family and friends have a right to be concerned for her health and her safety. She’s clearly a threat to herself and those around her!”

Really, I’m surprised that Lindsay acting so completely out of control is still news. It does seem that we’re forced to read about this kind of crap coming from her every other day. I guess the fact that she was screaming at the wrong door does make this story a bit more interesting than the others. But really. Do any of us expect Lilo to grow up any time soon?

It was reported last week that Katherine Heigl was well on her way to adopting a little girl from Korea. Not only has the adoption gone through, and little Naleigh is at home with Katherine and Katherine’s hubby, Josh Kelley, but there are already first pictures of the new family! Wow, these two certainly don’t like to take their time doing things, do they? They all look so beautiful in this picture! And of course, the happiness that beams through on everyone’s faces is so obvious! Little Naleigh looks right at home all cuddled up against Katherine’s chest, doesn’t she? Avril and Deryck: Splitsville

Why does everything have to be so complicated? I bet Avril Lavigne is singing her own lyrics right now as it’s been reported that she and her husband of three years, Deryck Whibley have split up. While divorce papers have yet to be filed, reports are that Avril has booted Deryck out of their California home because she’s simply had enough. Enough of what we don’t know. Avril’s reps aren’t making any comments at the moment. But, as we’ve all learned in the past, silence is very telling. And it’s no secret that rumors have been floating around now for some time that these two have been having some problems. According to these same reports however, it was all Avril’s decision and, if Deryck gets his way, the two will be reunited soon. From Dose,

“Avril Lavigne doesn’t think her husband is so damn hot anymore, according to Us Weekly. In the latest issue, the mag reports that the pop-punk princess has kicked Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley to the curb. Lavigne, 25, has reportedly told Whibley to move out of their $9.5 million, 12,000-square-feet mansion in L.A.

“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him,” an insider told Us. “She wants to move on.”

Rumours of the split have been circulating for months. In late August, Lavigne was spotted partying sans Whibley in Southampton, enjoying the company of several male admirers — apparently that was a sign of things to come.

Us Weekly’s source claims the filing of divorce papers is imminent and that Whibley is “crushed.” He and Lavigne married in 2006 after two years of dating.”

This split is very sad. Maybe it’s because they were such a young couple who seemed so in love. Or maybe it’s because I really love both of these two as artists so much. Either way, I was really hoping that this was one couple that would beat the odds of Hollywood marriage – especially young Hollywood marriage – and keep laughing and loving each other until old age. I wonder what caused the split. Maybe Avril will start talking and we’ll be able to find out a little more. Or, maybe we’ll get the ‘irreconcilable differences’ excuse and never find out.
