Sarah Jessica’s Obvious Mistake

Sarah Jessica Parker has been under much scrutiny lately after the affair her husband, Matthew Broderick, had became public knowledge this past summer. Many assumed that she would immediately leave the actor but through it all, Sarah Jessica has stood by her man. Will it last? Who knows but if this marriage is doomed, SJP may just have something to blame it all on - her wedding attire. Parker wore a black dress to her wedding and to this day, after almost 12 years of marriage, she still regrets it. From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“Style icon Sarah Jessica Parker has revealed her greatest fashion regret: Wearing black on her wedding day.

The Sex and the City star tells Harper’s Bazaar that if she were to do it over she’d opt for a more traditional gown: “White it up. I’d wear a beautiful, proper wedding dress, like I should have worn that day.”

Sarah Jessica, 43, relays a recent conversation on the topic with her 7-year-old son James,

“James Wilkie’s teacher is getting married, and he said, ‘Do you think she will be wearing black?’ I said, ‘No! I can almost assure you.’ Then he said, ‘Do you still regret it?’ and I said, ‘Yes, I still regret it.’”

It seems pretty obvious to me that if you’re at all superstitious, you shouldn’t wear black on your wedding day although I have personally known many brides that have chosen black and they are still happily married to the same person today. I do feel bad that Sarah Jessica regrets her choice of a wedding gown. Only because it’s supposed to be the biggest day of your life and especially for the bride, what you’re wearing is such a huge part of it! For any woman to regret her choice of wedding attire is bad but for Sarah Jessica, who has become a fashion goddess in the eyes of many, man! She must just kick herself over and over again. Well so far, it seems to be working out okay for her anyway.

Michelle has Clear Goals for her Daughter

There’s no doubt that Michelle Williams plays the part of doting mother very well. I love seeing the pics of her and little Matilda because they’re all of a normal mom doing normal stuff with her kid. And if Michelle has her way, ‘normal’ is just what Matilda will always be…you know, in her own very special kind of way. More specifically, Williams would be quite happy to see Matilda do just about anything except acting. In a recent interview in People, Michelle actually seems to be quite down on acting and barely seems to care about it all, for her daughter or herself. From People,

“Despite having two actors as parents – and, in the case of her late father, Heath Ledger, an Oscar winner – Michelle Williams’s little girl, Matilda, will not grow up in Hollywood, her mother insists.

In fact, Williams, 28, hopes that Matilda, 3, will one day become a doctor. Not that Matilda doesn’t have ideas of her own. Her mother admits that currently she wants to be a cowgirl.

With an eye to taking some time from movie work, Williams tells the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph that she is currently very much a stay-at-home mom.

Williams also says that would not raise her daughter in Los Angeles “for all the obvious reasons. Being an actor’s daughter. It’s a town that’s about one thing, and I want her to have options.”

Being an actress “comes with so much baggage,” says the Wendy and Lucy star. “It used to be a refuge and now it’s a hassle.”

As for her career future, she adds, “I’ll be happy making movies for $300,000 for the rest of my life if the roles are interesting.”

Good luck to you Michelle on Matilda growing up out of the limelight. I suspect this is one little girl that’s going to raise a lot of interest as she grows up but you can bet a Buffalo nickel that Michelle will do all she can to make sure we stay out of things as much as possible. I applaud the effort, I just don’t think it’s possible. I do love that Michelle is taking time right now for what’s important. Her and Matilda have had such a hard year and I think it’s important that they spend some time going through it together. Michelle seems to be doing it all right, in my opinion.

The Twins’ First Birthday!

Despite all the drama surrounding their parents, it sounds like Max and Emme had a great birthday party last Saturday complete with clowns and celebrity guests. I would expect a huge affair made out of this but seeing as how I didn’t even really hear about it until it was a slow news day, it shows that sometimes Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez do know how to keep things low-key. It was a small party (by celeb standards) and even had traditional things such as clowns and balloons. It might even be a nice memory for both Max and Emme. From People,

“Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony celebrated their 1-year-old twins Max and Emme with a birthday party at their Bel Air home on Saturday.

About 50 guests, including Nicole Richie, Joel Madden and their daughter Harlow, 1, joined the casual afternoon party, which started at about 1 p.m.

Several guests were seen arriving with gifts in Elmo and Disney bags. Others brought stuffed animals and “Happy Birthday” balloons in festive shapes and colors.

The backyard, where the party was held, was decorated with festive metallic silver balloons and a blue-and-red color theme. Two moonbouncers, a clown and upbeat music entertained guests, who were served non-alcoholic slush drinks provided by The Margarita Man.

Guests sang “Happy Birthday” while a cake decorated with candles from Rosebud Cakes was presented.”

It is nice that there is no backdrop scandal of J.Lo and Marc not wearing their wedding rings to the party (*gasp* divorce? or not?), or that they were scheduled to sing a duet that would announce their divorce to the world while breaking it to their little ones all at the same time.  No, there was none of that. It really sounds like it was a nice day celebrating with family and friends. Happy belated birthday, Max and Emme!

Nick is Once Again Mariah’s Beotch!

I sort of feel sorry for Nick Cannon. For whatever reasons, he fell in love with Mariah Carey and ever since, has become the laughingstock of Hollywood. Not only just for dating her, let alone marrying her, but because it’s become a running joke that Mariah does treat Nick like either an assistant or a child and in this case, it seems to be the latter.

Mommy Mariah has chosen a good gig for Nick that will let her keep an eye on him while making sure he’s bringing in some of that dough too. Because really, she can’t be expected to fund that lingerie closet all on her own. (She really has one. I saw it on Cribs and it is HUGE! yuck) Anyways, it sounds like Mariah’s commands are that Nicky-baby get a nice, quiet, solid job hosting a lame-ass show instead of doing what he truly wants and loves. For obvious reasons, Nick is taking issue with this. From Pop Crunch,

“Tabloid tattles claim Nick is afraid taking a job held by Regis Philbin and Jerry Springer could make him an even bigger of jokes in the entertainment industry and he only accepted the position after persistent urging from his wife. The former rapper even fears Madame Butterfly, 37, may have used her influence as a pop icon to snag the post for him.

“Nick thinks Mariah may have pulled strings to with Simon Cowell and FremantleMedia, the show’s producers, to land him the job,” says an Enquirer insider, who adds that “Mariah insisted it would be a great opportunity. She told Nick it would raise his visibility tremendously and could be a springboard for other things.”

Nick, who is afraid of appearing “over the hill” before he’s even 30, isn’t so sure.

“Nick has wanted desperately to carve out a niche for himself, but Mariah didn’t want him to leave her side to do DJ jobs in Las Vegas and other places. As far as she is concerned, hosting America’s Got Talent will keep him busy and out of trouble.”

I do think deciding to take this job will end up badly for Nick. Not because I don’t enjoy the show and not because I think there’s anything wrong with hosting it. I do think there’s something wrong with being a grown man and not being able to make your own decisions. I keep wondering when this marriage is going to fall apart just because Mariah’s so, well, Mariah. I don’t think anyone should be forced to deal with her for long periods of time. But he seems to keep hanging in there. Like I said, for whatever reasons.

Evan Rachel Wood & Marilyn Manson: Does Anyone Care?

Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson started dating 2 years ago but they had recently broken up in November. Who knows and who cares why they broke up, perhaps it was the huge age difference between the two, with Manson being 19 years older than Wood, or maybe it was because he just couldn’t keep his hands off her lipstick! It doesn’t matter anyway because this is another couple that seem to have found their way back to each other. From Page Six via Celebitchy,

“ARE bizarre couple Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson an item again? They were seen leaving the W Hotel in LA together Sunday morning before Wood walked the red carpet at the Oscars. The 21-year-old actress recently denied rumors she was hooking up with her “The Wrestler” co-star Mickey Rourke - and now we know why. Our source outside the hotel said Manson emerged first and “said he was waiting for his girlfriend.” Then, she came out and they climbed into a waiting car.”

Evan Rachel Wood is mostly known now for her role in the huge movie The Wrestler, which garnered nominations for two other stars in the film, Mickey Rourke and Marisa Tomei but none for Wood. She’s also played a lot of bit parts in television series such like CSI but again, nothing too major. And Marilyn Manson is just so yuck. It’s not even that I can’t get over his creep factor, it’s just that there’s something about him that really really bothers me and the thought of being the one to lie your head down next to his every night….It makes me shudder. Anyways, apparently Wood has gotten over whatever issues she has because she’s decided to start dating him again. Maybe she got a specially locked drawer for her lipstick or maybe she couldn’t find anyone else over the age of 40 to date her. She is really into older men. Who knows and who cares? Moving right along….

Lindsay’s New Tradition

I guess Lindsay Lohan decided that she liked doing that nude Marilyn Monroe-inspired naked photo shoot last year so much that she is going to make it a yearly tradition. Bump Shack has run some photos of Lilo’s newest photo shoot, which she did for Hedi Slimane and they are much different than last year’s photos that tried, unsuccessfully, to show a softer side of Lindsay. These pics seem to speak to who Lindsay really is - a dark and mysterious sort who, undeniably, has an awesome body! Hilary Duff Joins the Team

Hockey benches and celebrity rags have been abuzz for the past few months with the news that Carrie Underwood has been dating Ottawa Senators player Mike Fisher. The two are both keeping pretty mum on the subject although Underwood has been spotted cheering her man on at one of his games in her hometown of Nashville. But it seems that Carrie Underwood won’t be the only big name gracing the cheering section for the Senators. She may just find herself sitting next to Hilary Duff, who has recently talked about her relationship with center-man Mike Comrie, who also plays for the Sens. From Gossip Girls,

“Meanwhile, Miss Duff recently chatted about her growing passion for hockey - the sport at which her boyfriend Mike Comrie stars for the New York Islanders.

“I like to sit in the audience, you know I don’t sit up in a box or anything, and people started to know that I’m sitting there, and they’ll be like ‘Mike sucks!’ Or [they] try to rile me up,” Duff told Rachael Ray on an episode airing today. “And I’m like, ‘Hey, watch it! I’ll come up there, you know.’

“The first couple of games I went to, I’m like, ‘These people are nuts,’” Duff tells. “They are, like, so into it. And then, I got really into it once I started learning about the game.”

Comrie actually used to play for the Senators before signing with New York Islanders during his free agency. He was just recently traded back to the Ottawa Senators and if Hilary thought that New Yorkers were crazy about hockey, wait until she sits in some Canadian stands. 

What I don’t understand is why am I just finding out about this hookup when Duff and Comrie have been dating since last June? Perhaps because Ottawa is my very favorite team and it caught my attention that she could soon be seen quite often at my team’s rink. It’ll be good to see. I wonder if she and Carrie Underwood will become fast friends or whether this will start some sort of crazy woman feud, since both are sort of famous for that. Either way, the Senators are certainly becoming more and more fun to watch!

Nicole’s Baby Bump - Already!

I guess it comes as no surprise that just days after Joel Madden’s announcement that his Baby Mamma, Nicole Richie, is pregnant again that they were seen out at a party on Sunday night and Nicole was already debuting her baby bump. Since she’s lost all that weight, you can see when the girl eats a sandwich so they weren’t going to be able to keep that one a secret for too long anyway. 

The two were seen out at an after-party for the Oscars on Sunday and Nicole was beautiful in cute yellow frills. I love the way Joel is looking so protective of her here and guiding her through the throng of cameras. These two are cute no matter how you look at it! I’m actually pretty excited to continue seeing Nicole’s baby bump. She was so cute when she was pregnant with Harlow. It’ll be fun to watch it all over again. I wonder what they’re having…

Jen’s Jealous Rage

We were all expecting a catfight between Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie at the Oscars on Sunday. Maybe Jen slapping Angie across the face while calling her a home-wrecking slut or maybe Angelina grabbing Brad’s behind and winking at Jen just as they passed on the red carpet. All of that would have been good but what we got was actually two very classy actresses, who both - yes both - looked stunning and kept their composure at all times.

But it may have been what happened off camera and behind stage that was really worth talking about. Apparently, Jen did get her panties in a bunch but it had nothing to do with her former husband and everything to do with her current beau hunk, Player Mayer. The story goes that John was quite star-struck and more interested in making new celebrity friends than he was acting red carpet appropriate. This obviously did not sit well with Jen. From Daily Blabber,

“It wasn’t Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie that Jennifer Aniston was seething over at Sunday’s Oscars. Nope, Jen was saving all of her big, green monster moves for boyfriend John Mayer, who seemed to be enjoying his time backstage just a leeeeettle too much.

According to E! Online, John posed for some pictures with some of Oscar’s beauties, but when the snapfest was finished, Jen practically pulled her beau away by the ear.

“What are you doing?” Jen reportedly hissed. “Do you know them?”

Now I’m not opposed to the thought of Jen having a little bit of a rage-streak in her. I’d actually kind of like to see that. And I also easily believe that John was more interested in all the big names that were there than with being with his girlfriend. And I also believe that Jen would be pissed because she’s so touchy about him exposing himself and them too much. So why don’t I believe this story?

Britney Just Wants Somebody to Love

If Britney Spears has her way, we may all soon be talking about her new relationship and the rumor mill will be all ablaze with stories about how she’s pregnant, married, or headed for Splitsville. But this is all getting very far ahead of ourselves as much to Britney’s dismay, she can’t find a man no matter how badly she wants one! Yep, apparently Brit is on the hunt once again and what does she really want? Just someone to love that loves her just as much. Sounds nice, doesn’t it? From Pop Crunch,

“Britney Spears’ hunt for a new man is the tabloid-esque Hot Topic of the Week.

The “Circus” singer, who has been single since splitting from hit and run drivin’ photog Adnan Ghalib last year, “feels like a failure without a guy who she can love and loves her back”, a friend of the star has revealed to Heat Magazine.

Britney is allegedly “obsessed” with finding a man as she embarks on a concert tour around the world, which kicks off in New Orleans on March 3.

“She looks around and sees other women her age in successful relationships and says to herself, ‘Why can’t that be me?’ Finding a man she can love is becoming an obsession for Britney.”

“Britney really wants to get her life back on track. She has her family around her and a couple of assistants, but no one to really share things with,” says her pal.

“I think Britney would be happier living in a trailer park, looking after her kids and working as a hairdresser as long as she had a guy by her side who really loves her.”

It wouldn’t surprise me to hear that all Britney wants is to settle down with a man and her family. She’s been saying for a very long time now that that’s really all she’s ever wanted and I firmly believe that she’s only so into her career at the moment because she’s feeling so much pressure from her family. Either way, I don’t know if these are actual quotes from a friend. I just find it hard to believe that someone close to Britney would go to Heat Magazine instead of a bigger publication like People or something if they really wanted to spill all of Britney’s personal hopes and dreams but what do I know? Maybe they did and none of the bigger publications cared all that much.

They may also be too busy running the story of Britney’s ex, Adnan Ghalib, who has recently had charges pressed against him for hitting a process server with his car just before he was about to be served with legal papers from Britney. On top of that, Adnan’s also been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and battery in addition to these hit-and-run charges. Hopefully if Britney is looking to hook up with someone, she’ll use a little bit better judgement than this kind of creep that she’s been linked to in the past.
