Tori Spelling is Healthy Weight after Baby

It always makes me so mad when I see stars that have a baby and two weeks later, they’re running around Cabo in the skimpiest bikini they could find looking as though they’ve never eaten a cheeseburger, let alone given birth. It sets such an unnatural precedent for women who live in the real world and don’t have chefs who only use organic, fresh fruits and vegetables and who don’t go directly to their West Wing to meet with their trainer exactly 60 minutes after eating these nutritional meals. It often doesn’t seem fair and it’s easy to forget that sometimes, these celebrities have other celebrities looking at them and feeling bad about themselves as well. Such seems to be the case with Tori Spelling, who just added another little one into the family she has with Dean McDermott and their son Liam, who isn’t even two. Apparently, Tori hasn’t dropped the pounds as quickly as some of her Tinseltown peers and - get this! - she doesn’t even feel bad about it! From Celebrity Baby Scoop,

“I would look at pictures of myself and compare them to Jessica Alba, who had her baby two days before me,” Tori, 35, tells In Touch. “I’d see photos of her two months after and go, ‘Look at her!’ ”

Tori gave birth to daughter Stella Doreen in June, and since then she discovered she has developed a healthier attitude when it comes to weight loss. Tori has passed up fad diets and personal trainers and instead has enlisted the help of husband Dean McDermott, as well as their 19-month-old son Liam and 4 1/2-month-old Stella. Together, they “cook healthy meals” and “stay as active as possible.”
“The best way to lose weight is to make it a family affair,” she explains. “It has changed my life. I’m embracing the fact that it’s a struggle for me to drop the pounds. It’s easier now because I’m not as focused on it.”
Her advice to other moms trying to lose weight?
“Take your time,” says Tori, with Stella. “If you get obsessed, you’ll miss out on great moments with your children.”

I have to say that I have never been a big fan of Tori’s simply because she can’t act and was a huge superstar purely on her dad’s name and then she came out with her book, which has been faulted for being filled with lies as to what happened behind the scenes of Beverly Hills 90210. However, this story does make me see another side to her that may not be entirely caught up in the world of Hollywood, glamour, and beauty. It’s always nice when stars come out and admit that the Size 0’s and perfect, hourglass figures with the flawless skin are not always what they appear and that women can be healthy while remaining whatever size they are naturally. And whether I like her or not, I can’t even believe that anyone would say that Tori Spelling is having a ‘battle with weight.’ I think she looks terrific and I wish I had looked half as good 3 months after having my baby!

Jamie Spears in Permanent Control

Now this is a story that saddens me. It’s no secret that ever since her breakdown in January, Britney Spears has worked to become a totally new person - sort of like the Britney we once knew but older and maybe just a little bit wiser. Certainly with more life lessons under her belt. And it’s no doubt due in part to the fact that her father, Jamie Spears, has been in control of pretty much everything that happens in Britney’s life. But ever since the hearing in July that would determine whether he would retain control or whether Britney would be left to have another go of it herself, I’ve been sort of leaning towards the latter side of things. But now, it seems as though that will never, ever happen as Jamie Spears has just recently been granted permanent conservatorship over his daughter. From the Daily Blabber,

“The pop star’s dad, along with her attorney, was granted permanent legal control of his daughter, a court ruled yesterday. The temporary conservatorship was set to expire on Dec. 31, but after court meetings and evaluations of Britney’s mental health records, her lawyer told the judge that the singer has no objections to Jamie Spears remaining in control.

“The court finds the proposed permanent conservatorship is necessary and appropriate [because of the] complexities of her financial and business entities and also potential for her being susceptible to influences,” said Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, who has been presiding over the case.”

My problem here isn’t really with any particular person in this story. I have no doubt that Jamie only wants what’s best for his daughter and since this has been working so far, why not stick with it? However, with all of the great strides that she has made, I really would like to see her have enough confidence to try and remain on the right track all by herself. I mean, she’s gotten the proper help now and her family could be right there, waiting to step in should it really be too early for Britney to try this but I think she should at least be given the chance. Firstly though, I think that she should realize herself the positive moves that she’s made and she needs to give herself a chance.

More Carrie Romance Rumors

Since she began dating Tony Romo and their subsequent breakup, people have been very interested in Carrie Underwood’s love life. And since she’s one of my favorite artists, I always have been too. The last rumor had her hooking up with Michael Phelps in what looked to have the makings of a bizarre love triangle with Lindsay Lohan. Well that seems to have naturally dissolved and while Phelps has started to make his own name on the Hollywood scene, Underwood has been looking to those who have graced the star scene in the past. And this time, she’s looking towards the former Bachelor, Travis Stork. From Angry Ape,

“Carrie Underwood is dating Travis Stork and the two have been romantically linked for months, say reports.

The country singer met the reality TV doctor in 2006 says the National Enquirer, and according to a source: “Carrie and Travis quickly developed a long-distance phone and text-message relationship.”

“They’ve kept the romance under the radar, but Carrie’s been telling friends that it feels like they’ve known each other forever. They are so sure of their feelings that they’re already talking about settling down together.”

Now although the Enquirer has proven to be factual just recently in their celebrity news, I do still have a twinge of doubt about this story. That being said, I would love it if this were true! These two make a totally hot couple and they’d be so pretty to look at as the papps snapped away at every little outing they went on together. Underwood obviously has her fair share of men falling at her feet but it seems as though she’s having trouble finding that special one. Or maybe she’s just been having fun up until this point, enjoying all that celebrity life brings. Aww, that was…until Travis….*sigh* We’ll have to keep an eye out for these two to see if this rumor proves to be true.

Dannielynn is off to Greener Pastures

I think there are very few celebrity children that I feel as bad for as I feel for Dannielynn Birkhead, daughter of Larry Birkhead and Anna Nicole Smith. Not only has she had two of the most turbulent first years of her life but this is a child who will grow up always being under the microscope and always having deep-seeded issues about who she is, where she came from, and the messed up life that her mom led. And I must say, I was really happy when it was proven in court that Birkhead was in fact her father. Out of all the dollar signs in people’s eyes, I just felt as though he was really genuine. But now, I think I may have been fooled. Not only has he done some of the weirdest stuff with his daughter, such as give her a pair of her mother’s lingerie, but he has been the first to tell the world exactly what they were doing.

The latest move that Larry has planned is an actual move…such as a relocation. Somewhere out of The Hills and the spotlight and hopefully somewhere that sweet Dannielynn can try to grow up normally and remember her mother in the shining light that all children should. I think is absolutely the right move for Larry to make but I can’t help but notice that he’s not trying to be discreet - again. When packing up the house that Anna Nicole Smith lived in, he invited the press over for an interview. From Celebitchy,

We live over a canyon, and while the view’s great, there’s no backyard. I’ve bought Dannielynn every toy under the sun, but they can’t replace a yard. She doesn’t have a place to have her friends over to play.

L&S: You’ve kept an entire closet of Anna’s clothing, accessories and jewelry. Is that another way of preserving her memory for Dannielynn?
Larry: Yes. Every piece in there has a story. Someday, I hope to show them all to Dannielynn and tell her what event her mom wore them to and what they meant to her — from the casual T-shirts to the fancy dresses. I want her to understand how beautiful and glamorous her mom was.”

I love all of the sentiment that is behind this. What I don’t like is the fact that Larry had to take the last few memories of the mother of his child and splash them all over across the front pages of magazines and newspapers. This would have been a much sweeter thing to do if Larry had taken Dannielynn into the house and gone over the most precious and valuable memories of her mom. Once he sold it to the press, it just became another star trying to make another buck.

I May just Like her After All

I keep going back and forth on whether or not I like Pink. She does seem really cool and like she doesn’t really seem to care about much but then she just does or says something that I think is completely unecessary, idiotic, or just sooo completely over the line that it makes me rethink my opinion of her. But now that she thinks that John Mayer is an idiot, she definitely has gone up in my eyes. Apparently, Pink doesn’t agree with Mayer’s womanizing ways - I know, who does, right? But she actually got the opportunity recently to tell her that himself, and she certainly made her point clear. From Pop Crunch,

Outspoken singer Pink has branded the notorious lothario her “The Celebrity She Most Hates” after Mayer made objectifying remarks about the numerous women he has dated at a party in the Hollywood Hills earlier this month.

“I got into an argument with him,”Pink confesses.

“I don’t believe him as much as he believes him. He said something along the lines of, ‘I only shag really stupid women.”

“And I said, ‘I guess they would have to be.’ I don’t get him at all.”

Yeah, I don’t get him either. I don’t even understand why he would say something like this and it’s these kind of things that really make me wonder what Jennifer Aniston sees in him. I mean really, is the chemistry really that hot?

Madonna/Ritchie Split Only Gets Nastier

I know that there have been some ugly celebrity divorces splashed across the headlines but this one between Madonna and Guy Ritchie may just make it to the top of the list. Between getting the cult-like religion of Kabbalah heavily involved, hurling insults backand forth, and even more weird cult-like ‘marriage rules’, this is certainly one divorce that people will continue talking about through the ages. First, Celebitchy reported about how the Kabbalah leaders feel as though they should be the ones mediating the divorce instead of the traditional route of using the court system. Well, those cults generally don’t like you to branch out into the outside world for very much. From Celebitchy,

“Madonna is facing a major fall-out with her kabbalah leaders who are demanding an immediate out of court settlement to her divorce from Guy Ritchie. Rabbi Berg, the most senior kabbalah member and her spiritual leader, has instructed her that the ongoing mudslinging and prospect of a court battle between the sect’s two most high-profile members could badly damage its image. Berg has now given Madonna a 24-hour deadline to come back to him with a plan to mediate towards a swift divorce resolution using a round-table of kabbalah leaders chaired by him.

‘Rabbi Berg’s ultimate hope would be a reconciliation. But that seems rather a distant hope so at best he would like to put an end to the public raking over of their marriage,’ said a source close to the couple. Madonna however is said to be torn with the idea, thinking that if they go to kabbalah mediation at this point, she will be persuaded to part with a substantial amount of her wealth and also may lose out in having to give Guy a larger share of custody of their son Rocco, seven, and David, three.”

I can understand why Madonna wants to part with as little of her money as possible, although I do hope that Guy Ritchie takes her for all he can. But does she not realize that you can have a divorce without ‘mudslinging’ and raking your marriage through the papers, without the aid of the Kabbalah leaders? I guess these sorts of groups do tend to want you to be as dependent on them as possible.

And although Ritchie was a fervent student of the weird Kabbalah religion himself, it seems as though Madonna took it to a whole new level in their marriage. On their list of marriage rules - yes, that’s right, marriage rules - there was a special section stating that they had to make time to study Kabbalah together, among other things such as also scheduling times for sex. I find it very odd that someone like Madonna who once had such a bare-all, ‘I’ll do it anytime, anyplace’ attitude, now has to find time in her schedule to fit it in. For crying out loud, the woman has a book named SEX! This also from Celebitchy,

“Madonna tried to control husband Guy Ritchie with a marriage contract which urged the film director not to shout at his wife and to devote time to sex, it has emerged.

The alleged document detailed a list of rules for Guy drawn up after the couple attended counselling two years ago.

Guy was told he ‘must work to enrich his wife’s emotional and spiritual well-being’, ‘resolve conflicts in a constructive way’, and devote time to the couple’s ’sexual expressiveness’.

According to The Sun the document even had instructions on what words Guy should use during arguments, and he was told to ’state calmly: I understand that my actions have upset you, please work with me to resolve this.’

He was also expected to spend several hours reading Kabbalah texts with his estranged wife.

A source said Madonna had the contract pinned up in the couple’s New York home after they attended marriage counselling, and would reprimand Guy by saying ‘contract, contract’, if he broke the rules.”

Yep, this divorce isn’t only ugly, it’s also extremely weird. Wouldn’t you think that if you needed a marriage contract to dictate what you were doing and when, what rules couldn’t be broken, that you would realize that your marriage just wasn’t going to work out? I mean, I know that marriage takes work but I’ve never heard of it requiring a signature on the dotted line once the marriage license has been signed.

Jennifer Aniston is Not Pregnant

Just as I suspected, John Mayer’s reps have recently come out with a statement saying that Aniston is not pregnant with his baby. Apparently what spurred the initial rumor brought by an Australian tabloid was the fact that Jen apparently looked pregnant. I always wonder what celebrities think when they hear that and really aren’t pregnant. And then she was seen coming out of her mom’s house and that seemed to seal the deal. But this is nothing new to Aniston, who has always had to dispel these types of rumors. From US,

“A source close to John Mayer confirms – again – that he’s not expecting a child with Jennifer Aniston.

In Touch claims on its cover that Aniston, 39, “looks pregnant” and speculates that’s the reason she reconciled with Mayer, 31.

“It’s not true,” a source close to Mayer told Usmagazine.com.

Just last week, Australia’s New Weekly suggested the actress and Mayer were expecting a child.

But Aniston’s rep told Entertainment Tonight then: “Give me a break. She is NOT pregnant.”

Well I suspect that the world is now breathing a sigh of relief that John has not procreated. These two do seem to be very happy ever since their recent reunion, although they are still trying to keep a low-pro and haven’t really been spotted all that much. I doubt that they’ll get much of a break from the media, these two are just too interesting, even if I don’t like him all that much!

Is Mary-Kate Pregnant?

They may have once been cute but the Olsen twins these days are generally known for stirring up trouble. This time the attention is turned to Mary-Kate and she’s not in trouble…per se…but I suppose it’s all in how you view it. Celebrity Dirty Laundry has recently received a ‘hot tip’ that she may finally have something in her belly….a baby! This is what the website has to say about their tip,

“Last Friday, Mary-Kate Olsen, 20, linked to Heath Ledger at his death, was spotted with a female friend visiting the chic baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood. Her friend was teasing her about her belly and they spent more than forty five minutes browsing nursery furniture and Mary-Kate purchased burp cloths, bibs and t-shirts from Plain Mary emblazoned with the word “Babe” as well as a playmat and changing pad. In addition, she picked up a few layette items from.
If pregnant, the obvious father would probably be boyfriend Lapo Elkann, 31, known in the media as an Italian playboy, and the heir to the Fiat empire.”

I’m giving this one a big N-O. This story is simply not true. There aren’t even any credited sources, or even anonymous ones, she was simply ’spotted’ there. And I’m even doubting that as this baby boutique is notorious for spreading false stories about many different celebrities buying their baby clothes there, including Katie Holmes, Britney Spears, Jessica Alba, and Lisa Marie Presley. Add to that the fact that I’m sure that Mary-Kate Olsen is careful, careful when she’s gallavanting around town just so this exact thing doesn’t happen - I just don’t see her as the mothering type. So we shall move on but really, Mary-Kate, you should put some food in there.

Eminem Prefers Fists to Guns

I love, love, love Eminem and so, I will take any opportunity to write about him and with his new book, The Way I Am, just out, there are sure to be tons of juicy stories coming out about this oh-so-fabulous rapper. The most recent story has Em talking about guns and the tragic role that they have played in his life, and how this is why he no longer condones the carrying or use of guns as a way to solve problems. His solution to anger? Use your fists! Ya gotta love it! From Contact Music,

“Rapper EMINEM has confessed he carried a gun during his years as a young hellraiser - after being taught how to shoot at the age of seven.
The Slim Shady hitmaker was using firearms for target practice as a child, and later carried them wherever he went.
But now he prefers to settle disputes with his fists - because he has lost so many friends and relatives to gun crime.
He says, “I went through a phase when I was pulling guns out, pointing a pistol in somebody’s face, not even realising that I could’ve gone to jail for that s**t.
“Guns and violence have been around me my whole life - in my family life, my social life, everywhere. I’ve just always had a fascination with them… When I was seven-years-old I was handling my Uncle Todd’s Colt. 45. He had me shooting at beer cans at that age. Sounds crazy but it’s true.”
But the rapper admits he has learned his lesson and does not use guns any more.
He adds: “Anyone who has a gun will tell you that at first it makes them feel powerful. I was infatuated. I don’t feel that way now. I’ve lost too many friends, family members, loved ones to gun violence. I’d much rather use my fists.”

Now what I love about this, besides the obvious fact that it’s said by the great Marshall Mathers, is that he doesn’t talk about how watching loved ones die by guns has made him a more peaceful person and has made him focus on what’s important. No, for Eminem, it’s simply been a matter of turning to other, probably non-fatal modes of violence. Good, good! Of course I’m not saying that I condone the use of fists for settling matters but this just shows Eminem’s true character, and his ghetto way of dealing with things, and his take-no-guff attitude. It’s what we love, it’s why we keep coming back.

As an interesting side note, looking at this picture, I think that may be a new tattoo he’s bearing on his forearm. Proof was one of his fellow rappers in the group D12 and he was recently killed by gunshot in 2006.

The Body of Julian King is Found

This is truly heartbreaking as our thoughts go out to the Hudson family. The tragic story of course began when Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother were found murdered in their Chicago home and Jennifer’s nephew, Julian King, had gone missing. The story has come to a tragic end as Julian’s body was found today. From US,

“The body of a slain young boy has been identified as that of Jennifer Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew, Chicago police confirmed at a press conference Monday.

Police have no suspects.

Julian King was missing all weekend after an unidentified assailant fatally shot Hudson’s mother Darnell, 57, and brother Jason, 29, on Friday.

At 7:05 a.m. Monday, Chicago police discovered the slain boy — who was shot multiple times, according to the Tribune — in the back seat of an abandoned white 1994 Chevy Suburban on Chicago’s West Side.

Chicago police call the killings “domestic related.”

Though he has not been charged, William Balfour — the estranged husband of Julia Hudson, Jennifer’s sister — was taken into custody Friday by Chicago police for questioning.

The 27-year-old Balfour — who spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle — is not the boy’s father.”

I can’t even imagine the amount of grief that is being felt by everyone and I can only pray that this is an instance in which the media is respectful and we quickly express support and leave the family to mourn. Having to survive the loss of so many loved ones in a lifetime is more than one should have to take but all within a weekend and all such brutal deaths is unthinkable. And of course, our thoughts are most with poor Julian. Such a short life and such senseless actions to take it away. I don’t know how one begins to work through this sort of grief but our thoughts are certainly with the Hudson family at this time.
