When Tattoos Just Aren’t Enough

It’s no secret that Victoria and David Beckham form one of those couples that seem to know the secret to the ultimate kind of love that knows no wrong and that is just too darn cute to be real! First they proclaimed their love for each other and for their family by inking themselves in many different areas of their bodies and in at least two different languages. Now, because that really doesn’t truly capture their love, they have released two scents, as meant to be paired with each other as Posh and David themselves. The scents are called Signature for Him and Signature for Her and Gossip Girls reports on the launch of the scents,

“Always the fashionable couple, David and Victoria Beckham posed side-by-side as they released their new scents at Macy’s Herald Square on Friday (September 26).

Despite the rainy New York City weather, nearly 2,000 screaming fans showed up at the department store for the launch of the couple’s fragrance duo, Signature for Him and Signature for Her.

David, who looked handsome in a striped Tom Ford suit, offered up credit to his Spice Girl wife, clad in a Giambattista Valli dress, saying that she was “the brains behind the fragrances.”

Unwilling to take all of the credit, Posh quickly responded by saying, “It’s great for me to be able to create a fragrance for him, but he is much more involved than he gives himself credit for. David has such amazing taste.”

Don’t they both, really? They’re not fashion icons for nothing and even though I’m not that big into fragrances myself, I have no doubt that this one will fly off the shelves and fill Christmas stockings this year! Just one more way that Victoria and David proclaim their love!

Surgery Needed for Clay’s Newborn Son

Clay Aiken has certainly been in the news a lot lately, first with the birth of his newborn son, Parker, and then his big revelation that he was in fact gay. He has now made one more announcement, and that was on the health of his new baby boy. The poor little guy had digestion issues and needed surgery when he was only one month old! Aw, you have to be some kind of mean to not have your heart go out to the family - that is indeed scary stuff! From Celebrity Baby Scoop, ”

For most parents, the fact that the little baby they brought home is their child doesn’t truly hit home right away - and for Clay Aiken, his moment of realization came amidst a frightening health scare with son Parker.

“He had been gassy for weeks and then he started throwing up,” Aiken, 29, tells PEOPLE in its latest issue. “Jaymes [Foster, the baby’s mother] and I were trying to be calm, rational parents, so we didn’t call the doctors too much, but it just got to a point where he was vomiting everything. He was starting to get dehydrated.”

Parker was admitted to the hospital, and diagnosed with pyloric stenosis, a intestinal condition that complicates baby’s digestion, and scheduled for surgery to correct the problem.

“Parker had been in one day already when I got really panicky,” Clay recalls. He woke up at 2 a.m. and headed to the hospital. “I was a little worried, like ‘I don’t think they’re going to let me in the hospital at 2 or3 in the morning.’ Then I thought, ‘Wait a second, I’m the father! Of course they’ll let me in,” Aiken says. “It was the first moment when I thought, ‘I’m actually this child’s father!’ ”

Yes, every parent has that moment of realization - mine was when the nurse told me to change the baby and she’d be right back. That was when I realized that this kid was mine and no one was going to do the dirty stuff for me. It’s sad though that that wonderful moment was saddened by this situation for Clay. I wish this family all the best and hope Parker has a speedy and happy recovery!

Michelle Williams Shows Love for Heath

It’s clear that whatever happened between Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger, they once had a very good thing and Michelle clearly still has a very soft spot in her heart reserved just for Heath. She was seen in several degrees of mourning after his death in January and while it’s undoubtedly still a tough time for her, she has also been seen out and about lately, looking stunning and raising their two year old daughter, Matilda. Michelle has once again shown that she still carries a great deal of love and respect for Heath by kick-starting a scholarship that has been established in his name. From Celebitchy,

“A scholarship to help emerging Australian actors and honor the memory of Heath Ledger has launched – and Ledger’s ex, Michelle Williams, is stepping up as the first donor.

The Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship will award recipients up to $10,000, and round-trip airfare from Australia, to pursue a career in the United States. Ledger was an Ambassador for AIF before his death in January; current ambassadors include Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Naomi Watts.

“Broke Aussie actors in LA form a tradition that goes all the way back to Errol Flynn,” says Ned Kelly director and Ledger pal Gregor Jordan, who will be part of the scholarship’s five-member judging panel. “Heath was definitely part of that tradition and this scholarship is something he would have been proud to have his name associated with.”

I love seeing stars donate to anything but when it’s something as personal as this, it just seems even more special, as corny as that may sound. I absolutely love Michelle Williams and she has proven time and time again that she holds, by far, the greatest amount of talent among any of those that came from the Dawson’s Creek bunch. She has proven to be a woman of class and one of the few in Hollywood that young girls could truly look up to and respect.

Matthew and Sarah Jessica Spotted Again

While the news of Matthew Broderick’s affair has died down some, he and wife, Sarah Jessica Parker still attempt to show that they are a very happily married couple as they stroll through the New York City streets. Parker may be trying to pump up her latest projects, as it was the same day that Sex and the City: The Movie came out on DVD that this pic was taken and Sarah Jessica was also celebrating the happy news that her other projects were going full-steam ahead as well! “SJP and the rest of her Sex and the City crew must be excited, as their latest flick “Sex and the City: The Movie” comes out on DVD today.

As for Parker’s artsy flick “Spinning Like Butter,” it sounds like it has finally found a home. Screen Media has licensed the rights to the “racially-charged” film, originally finished back in 2005, and is reportedly slating it for release early next year.”

I don’t know, does this look like a woman that is celebrating some great career moves? Ever since the news of the affair broke, she has looked incredibly unhappy to me and I really don’t give this marriage much longer. I have a nagging suspicion that they are both trying to stay together for their son, James Wilkie, but I don’t think that ever works. I hope she does leave him in the end, for her sake. You can tell just by looking at her that she’s not the same woman she used to be and everyone needs to stay true to themselves.

Sharon Stone Lost in Court…Not her Son

It was reported last week that after an ongoing custody battle, which it sounds to be started by Sharon Stone originally, she has lost ‘all physical custody’ of her son. Now, while this sounds bad, and I’m not a huge fan of Stone to begin with, it’s not really as awful as everyone is making it out to be. What happened was that Stone wanted to change the current custody situation, which was Roan, her 8-year-old son, lived with her ex-husband in San Francisco and attended school there. Sharon wanted Roan to move closer to her and attend school in LA, and the court denied that order. It wasn’t as though she had custody and then lost it. From the Sydney Morning Herlad,

“The court order of 2007 provided that Roan was to go to school in San Francisco. Sharon went to court to try and modify the existing order,” he said.

“She wanted the court to modify the order so her child could go to school in Los Angeles. But the court felt that, for whatever reason, that she did not meet a burden to move him out of San Francisco during the school year.”

Sharon - who also has adopted sons Laird Vonne Stone, three, and two-year-old Quinn Kelly - reportedly wanted Roan to live closer to her so he could bond with her other children.

The papers state there is to be no change in Sharon’s “custody, visitation, holiday and vacation schedule” and order that her telephone number is programmed into Roan’s phones.

“Sharon not lost any iota of custody or visitation that she had before,” Singer said.”

So my entire point in this is that I don’t understand why everyone is so all over Stone about how she has ‘lost custody’ when really, you can’t lose something that you never had. And people are also talking about they wonder who’s taking care of the other children back home when this is clearly not a situation of neglect or abuse…she wanted him to change schools for Pete’s sake! As I mentioned earlier, I’m not a huge fan of this star in the first place but in this instance, I think people need to give her a break. She wanted something, she didn’t get it. Does that make her a horrible person?

Tom Makes More Weird Moves

Well Katie may have been able to kick the whole Cruise clan to the curb of her house but she definitely can’t stop them from getting heavily involved in her husband, Tom’s, career. Tom Cruise has once again turned to his sister, fellow Scientologist, to help manage his career. This isn’t the first time that Tommy Boy has wanted to keep his affairs within the family. It was right around the time that he and Katie started dating that she also managed his career and, as TMZ reports, it was not a good time in Tom’s career,

“Couches of the world, you’ve been forewarned.

Tom Cruise has once again enlisted sister Lee Anne Devette to help manage his career and steer the Cruise ship, reports OK!. This is not a positive development for Cruise; the last time she was involved, Tom started jumping up on couches and calling Matt Lauer glib.

“He needed someone to step in and take over. And Lee Anne stepped up to the plate,” says a source.”

Let’s not forget how he verbally attacked Brooke Shields for - GASP! - taking care of herself and her child! Anyways, it’s stuff like this that really has me feeling sorry for Katie Holmes. I think of how overwhelming her life must be, with a weirdo husband and overbearing in-laws. I’m glad that she take this gig on Broadway - it seems to have been really good for her to do something that she loves and step outside of the roles she’s been playing as Suri’s mom and Tom’s wife. She has also received rave reviews from audience members and fellow costars such as John Lithgow. Lycos caught a snippet of an interview with him where he couldn’t stop singing Katie’s praises,

“He adds, “Katie is lovely in the play, and she’s been such a sweetheart to work with. She has worked so hard - this is a tough, tough play.

“Katie is acting with thoroughbreds and she’s doing a wonderful job! She’s had to really push herself.”

John also praised Tom Cruise’s efforts in supporting his wife and making sure Suri got a taste of the excitement as well: “They’ve been around…a lot!”

Gosh darn it! If she would only leave that crazy husband of hers, I think I would really start to like Katie Holmes! Well I guess that’s a lot to put little Suri through just for my peace of mind. Alas, I suppose I’ll have to make peace with the fact that she really does love Tom.

Unfortunately Photo Op

It doesn’t take much for Spence and Heidi to turn themselves into the latest photo op. Case in point: the two were serving the homeless at a downtown LA mission, which sounds noble enough except for when you consider that this picture was a result of their efforts. We’re SURE the homeless were helped a lot by the paparazzi and Heidi/Spencer’s bizarre antics.

People needing a free, hot, meal couldn’t care less who it was served by. But I bet they were annoyed by two cheese-ball reality TV stars. I know I would be.

K Fed and Britney Try to Work it Out

So I am not at all sure what to think about this story. Rumors started last week that Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were trying to patch things up and get back together now that Britney seems to be on the road to recovery and Kevin has played such an active role in her and the boys’ life really ever since they got married. Now there is talk that they are going to couple’s therapy but the source is the National Enquirer, which I always tend to doubt anyway and it’s an unnamed source, making it a sort of double whammy in my books. BUT this is not the first time I have heard about the two trying to reconcile and so I’m tempted to start believing this story. From Pop Crunch,

“Kevin Federline and Britney Spears are desperately trying to salvage their relationship with the help of couples’ therapy, The National Enquirer claims. The divorced parents of sons Sean, 3, and Jayden, 2, believe being raised by them both is what’s best for their boys.

“Kevin still loves Britney, too-and if all goes well after six months of counseling, they’ll move in together with the boys.”

A Britney pal tells The Enquirer: “Britney is on board because she’ll do anything to have her boys back full-time…Part of their therapy involves going on ‘formal dates,’ and Britney is so excited!”

“The new Britney is more focused, and Kevin is eager to work with her on their future. They’re both optimistic, and while they’re not talking about getting remarried right now, it’s not out of the question.”

So although this story does seem to be escalating, I still hope that this doesn’t happen and I don’t like how Britney is made out to be the complete bad guy and psycho in this story. Kevin had his share of faults as well and everyone seems to have forgotten who he was before Britney stopped being the stable one in the relationship. That being someone with very little talent that used his wife’s name to get anywhere in a music business that he so desperately wanted to break into. I’m not trying to put all the blame on him either but I just wish people would start to look at the other sides of the story behind these two before deciding that any one party is to blame.

Sarah McLachlan Splits from Husband

It’s truly sad to say that Sarah McLachlan has split from her husband, Ashwin Sood, who was not only her husband of 11 years but also the drummer in her band. There’s no doubt that her fans are most going to benefit from this, as Sarah is sure to pour out her heart through song but it will be tough to see her go through such a sad time. From US,

“The singer, 40, revealed they have called it quits while promoting her upcoming greatest hits album Closer: The Best of Sarah McLachlan (out October 7).

“I’m separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that,” she told Billboard.com, referring to her two new tunes, “U Want Me 2″ and “Don’t Give Up on Us.”

McLachlan and Sood, who plays drums in her band, have two daughters, Ann Sushil, 6, and Taja Summer, 14 months.

I wasn’t planning on saying anything,” McLachlan said of the split, “but it’s gonna come out at some point. I haven’t said anything about it because I’ve been terrified to, but I figure … there’s no good time to say it, so I just said it.”

She said “U Want Me 2″ is “about that really uncertain, confusing place at the end of a relationship when there’s no communication or closure, everything’s still up in the air and there’s a lot of anger and sadness. It’s sort of that working through ‘How do we move forward … with some dignity and grace.’”

Yes, everything Sarah does is with dignity and grace, from her beautiful fashion sense to her brilliant voice. She proves once again though in this interview that she has a true talent for pointing out what we have felt at some point or another and says it in an eloquent fashion while making it totally relatable to everyone. Divorce is sad enough and when there are children involved, it just makes it that much harder and messier. Hopefully we don’t have to hear these two having ugly battles in court for months to come but I have a feeling that Sarah would never let that happen.

Please!!! Say it Isn’t So!!!

So who knows where things stand with this whole Jennifer Aniston/John Mayer breakup? When it first came out that the two had split, people automatically assumed that Jen was once again heartbroken and devastated. Until it came out that she was the one called it off and was trying to move on with her life. The whole thing has gone back and forth a few times but very few people in either camp, except for John himself of course, who can’t get enough of people snapping pics of him, have said very little. Now though it seems that no matter who broke up with who early last month, Jen wants John back. Nooooo!!! Jen, don’t do it, I beg of you! From Digital Spy,

“The pair broke up last month, but have been holding daily phone conversations since the actress returned to Los Angeles from Mexico last week.

A friend said: “Jennifer reached out to John first. She had a few glasses of wine then decided to throw caution to the wind and make the first move.

“John was pleasantly surprised to hear from her. He says they’ve been in contact pretty much every day since and he’s really looking forward to seeing her again soon.”

Friends of Aniston, 39, are said to have been concerned about her lifestyle since the 30-year-old musician reportedly dumped her by text.

A source said: “She’s had a really tough time since the break-up and the more time goes on, she realises how much John still means to her. Basically, she’s still in love with him and has had a really tough time letting go.”

Aniston was recently linked to Scottish actor Gerard Butler, but sources say the pair are simply collaborating on a film.”

Honestly!! I hadn’t heard the rumor that John had broken up with her through text but with him, it honestly wouldn’t surprise me. He doesn’t really seem to be the type to care too much about who gets hurt while he travels along his way through countless women. He most likely didn’t see the relationship as anything other than to get his name in the papers and have people pay attention to him for a little while. Jen is so totally out of his league and he never gets that kind of attention, unless he’s with someone as famous as her! I hope these two don’t find their way back to each other and I’d really be happy if they would just cut all ties.
