Idol Creates a Special Four-some
Theirs is a different type of relationship, but the three American Idol judges seemed to have worked thingss out amongst themselves and - in spite of each one’s seemingly polarizing personality - have made the threesome work. Now, it’s about to get more complicated. There’s a new idol in town.
According to Yahoo! News online, five months before the new season of American Idol is set to kick off producers are shaking things up and adding a fourth permanent judge to the table. Prolific singer-songwriter Kara DioGuardi will now be part of the team.
While she may not be a household name to Idol fans, they would know her by her work. She’s written tracks for David Cook, David Archuleta, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Bo Bice, Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks.
She has also more than earned her credentials outside the Idol universe, additionally writing hits for Britney Spears, Jonas Brothers, Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Faith Hill, Paris Hilton, Avril Lavigne, Lindsay Lohan, Leona Lewis, Natasha Bedingfield, Santana, Hilary Duff, Simpsons Jessica and Ashlee and just about any other artist who’s cracked Billboard’s Top 10 in recent years.
While her work speaks for itself, it’ll be interesting to see how the dynamic changes and what adding a fourth will do to the current balance of power!
